BMW 530e iPerformance 252HP (Hybrid) "review"

So how does a hybrid work? The basic idea is simple - the car has two engines. A classic internal combustion one as well as an electric motor. In this BMW, both power the rear wheels.
Perhaps you've heard me talk about the weight of cars before and how much every extra kilogram affects its handling and consumption. Why, then, would you want to drive around with a heavy electric motor and batteries? The answer lies in that very motor.
Electric motors have mountains of torque, which is available as soon as you power it. This means it's absolutely fantastic for acceleration, the act for which classic engines drink the most fuel for. This hybrid allows you to cruise around a city exclusively on electric drive. The beauty of the integrated system is it will automatically turn on the internal combustion engine if required and help accelerate.

Actually the combustion engine starts when I put the car in manual mode.
However once I put it at park, the combustion engine stops and it returns to the battery. Even if I press the sport button after that, it still remains in the battery.
Is there any way to make it remain in combustion engine without keeping it at manual mode throughout the time I start it for 5 minutes without moving it ?

hate it when they show a fully loaded car - that has 15k upgrades of specs - all reviews should be standard cars or atlas state the upgrades and costs

Ok, this car has an electric motor and battery but most reviewers don't mention that the cost of it is not only smaller trunk but also smaller fuel tank.
