I have rosacea without breakouts but have the flushing, stinging cheeks, broken blood vessels. ago I’m so mad, but glad, because after years of frustration, i was on vacation and the only thing i could find to clean my face was noxema, and now my skin is healing. I stopped using it when i got home and the rosacea returned, i resumed it and it stopped again. So my routine now is to use a mild soap face wash in AM, then before my usual afternoon shower i rub noxema on my face, let it sit a few minutes, jump in shower and use a gentle wash cloth and semi warm water to brush it off my face. Then I follow with a gentle soap in the shower cause it seems to leave some kind of residue, not in an entirely bad way, im just not used to it so i wash it off. After i dry off after shower i take a cotton pad and Aesops green tea toner and gently brush across face. Sometimes I’ll put a serum but if i do i be sure to rinse off before bedtime with just water and pat dry my face. I still have a few broken blood vessels but the overall splotchiness and red aggravation is gone. I think i just had clogged pores and the usual effoliators were too abrasive. Noxema is perfect
I love how life just goes on behind you in your videos with your husband and children. 😄💯 No pretension here, just real life. Great video as usual, Doc! ❤️
@Jocelyn79 @@shereeneidriss Right? It's like calling your bff to chat about skin issues and the household is going about its business in the background. Your the best Doc.
@@shereeneidriss what are your thoughts on low dose beta blockers or micro botox for flushing and type 1 rosacea ? I have tried azelaic acid, metrogel, ipl treatments and lots of creams but nothing seems to help....My skin is always quiet red and it burns when I flush...It seems to flare up more in winter... Also can topical tretonoin be helpful for rosacea or does it damage the skins barrier ?
It's so fascinating how quickly my outbreaks stopped and I got cured permanently from HSV 1&2. All thanks to @Draloha1 ruclips.net/channel/UC_YFEEZEr1BxGkNg1d4vqww ♥️🧡🇺🇸
@@shereeneidriss a few years ago I got laser treatment on an old acne scar, the treatment didn’t work and now every once in a while the area will turn red. It’s a small area not all over my face. A dermatologist recently diagnosed it rosacea but I’m not completely convinced. Do you know if it is or what it could be?
I have noticed a lot of improvement using a simple routine of La Roche Posay Toleriane cleanser, Rosaliac serum, and the Ordinary’s azelaic acid to keep my rosacea calm. Agreed that azelaic acid is an awesome ingredient! Would also love to see a rosacea / laser video... I’ve been considering doing v-beam. Thank you for the great content per usual:)
Vbeam is more expensive than IPL from my experience. Iv had 5 sessions of Vbeam and my flushing diffused redness is approx reduced by 50%. But at €350 a sessions it's crazy money. Going to try IPL instead as its half the price and even if it takes more than 1 treatment it will be cheaper than having more than 1 Vbeam 😢
I have rosacea too! It’s hard to find products or professionals talking about rosacea as much as they do something like acne. I have combination skin too which makes it even harder as most rosacea products are geared towards dry skin. Thank you for this video!
I have rocecea too. It improved 90:/ after applying sulphur based cream very quickly though, my Dr had written 20:/ Azelic Acid cream. But sulphur based cream helped more than Azelic Acid because sulphur kills mites.
I'm 53, developed the condition primarily on my left cheek. I started using Rozex gel, which helped a bit. Until I started taking Oxytetracycline. I'm 3 weeks into this and the red bumps have gone. I also stopped eating chocolate and dairy milk and replaced with oat milk, I put a Spf 30 on my cheeks before I go out, I shower using kids shower gel, I wash my face with cold water before bed I also stopped taking Propranolol. What a difference all these things have made. Sometimes it takes multiple changes and research. I'm much happier now.
Yes, lasers next please: I've had rosacea all my life (especially on my cheeks). I remember in school people would ask if I was wearing blush!!! Anyway, regular sessions of IPL over the past years have helped keep it in check, and I only get flare ups very occasionally now. Big no nos are: staying in the sun (I can't stand it though), overheated rooms, wearing a face mask in the heat, and wind burn (I ski with a face cover whatever the temperature is).... It's high maintenance but you gotta do what you gotta do. I remember some of my past flare ups intensely, they sting for days, and I would get pangs of anxiety from it, which made it worse ofc.... Strangely Paulas Choice BHA lotion has been a lifesaver....
I find licorice root extract to be very helpful for my redness. I use Paula’s choice calm line (especially the serum) in addition to the azelaic acid at night and Eucerin’s redness relief night cream that also contains licorice root extract. Paula’s choice antioxidant pore purifier serum I believe also contains an azelaic acid dervivative. It works much more slowly than Vitamin C serums but is less irritating to me-I do find the general improvement in tone with Vitamin C also helps.
Didn’t dawn on me that my life long red face was an actual condition. Born in and used to live in the Deep South and would spend 10 out of 12 months bright red in the face any time I went outside in the heat, exerted myself, took a shower…. And even when I’m not bright red I’m still continuously pink. It’s calmed down some since moving to Maine, but not completely. Weirdly, you call it “adult acne” but the red started when I was eleven-ish and started to pale up significantly (swore off sun after a serious sunburn during band practice that caused fevers and blisters, to the point that I was considered the “weird one” for wearing long sleeves during the summer and even on the beach. It was… a formative experience). Can’t say whether I have “flairs“ or not as it never seems to go away. Even now. Been binging your content and just blew up my credit card on some of your suggestions. Thank you so much for all you do.
Thank you for the over the counter product suggestions. I am 55 and have recently started having rosacea flare ups after my skin barrier was damaged during a treatment. I discovered dairy is my trigger so I limit how much I have. I like Dermalogica’s Ultracalming products - They really helped to calm my flareups. I also started at home red light therapy and that I think has made a big difference as well.
I would love for you to reference the skin types (skin colors) in more videos, and do a dedicated video for people of color. For example, I’ve heard that hydroquinone isn’t well tolerated by POCs, and there are a ton of mineral SPFs that leave a white cast on my skin. Would love your expertise navigating skincare for different skin colors!
@@shereeneidriss I had very rosacea I live in Australia i did so many treatment but they didn't work at last I did wet cuppinG(hijjama) after getting three treatment of wet cupping its gone forever and after that i didn't have that problem
You should try the Olay Mineral spf 30 (zinc oxide). It’s very sheer and lightweight. I even tried it on my husband who is African American and it dried down clear.
Im mexican with skin type 3 recently diagnosed with rosacea and my child is type 1 and his rosacea is terrible with this tender age. Thank you for bringing awareness to this topic and how to manage.
I feel for both of you! There are several medications you can try. Children can use Rosadyn oral capsules, I think. (Might want to check with his doctor though!)
If someone is looking for a azelaic acid product recommendation, I personally recommend the serum by Facetheory. I've started using it for a few weeks and I can tell that my skin gets less flushed. Btw, I don't have rosacea (or at least I've never been diagnosed), but my skin is quite reactive. Even just washing my face with lukewarm water will make my skin red.
I tried this serum and it made my skin feel so painful and itchy for an hour before I washed it off. I don't know if I'm sensitive/allergic to azelaic acid or it was something else in the formulation :(
@@MZ-cp5rt i think its supposed to do that. I dont know that specific product but my spot cream burns when i put it on in the evening and the skin gets red in the area but in the morning my skin is better and less red than before. Its the only thing that doesnt irritate my skin in the long run. Hope that helps.
@@MZ-cp5rt my 15% prescription Azelaic acid also burned and felt itchy the first couple night but it goes away eventually! And has helped a lot in the long run it also kills acne causing bacteria and helps with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is mostly why I use it! Forgot to say I also put it on as my last step which helps with any irritation it also keeps the product from transferring or pilling and is just as effective
@@MZ-cp5rt It’s normal to get some tingling or itching when you first apply it, but I don’t think it should be painful...was your skin red/irritated after you washed it off. You could try buffering it with some moisturiser applied first until you get used to it. The first time I used the Facetheory one it tingled quite a bit, but the next time hardly at all.
Scrolling and seen the title gasped and hit play. Thank you so much for this mine just numbs my face when it gets too out of hand and everyone thinks I am embarrassed so going to try these out.
I struggle with eczema and rosacea although the rosacea is the most haunting. I started wearing makeup in my 30s because i got so tired of being asked if I'm ok. My skin is so picky. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you, ...as a sufferer of rosacea this was very helpful. I will be buying the products you showed because I am so tired of walking around with pink cheeks! I appreciate that you also mentioned the mental effects. You try to suppress the redness when you feel it coming on and it just makes things worse....then you get those people who love to point it out to you !!!! I would love to know who to get the skin mantle healthy to "heal" this instead of dealing with the symptoms .Have also developed S.D. which is what is causing the flaking ......crazy, because I never skip my cleansing at night.
Hi, I wanted to thank you for this video. It has drastically changed my skin. Over the last two months I have started using the Avene cleanser and Dr Jart serum. My Rosacea has decreased markedly and I have an easier time getting flare ups under control more quickly! My skin looks healthier and I am more confident in how I look! 💕
Another superb video from a true bright light...and that's you! I have concluded that Rosacea has a variety of causes, but the common thread is systemic inflammation. For me, I developed rosacea immediately following a course of Cipro antibiotics and an acutely stressful chapter in life. Here I am 14 years later finally sorting out the gut dysbiosis that ensued from that and other eras since then. Quite simply, a lack of beneficial bacteria in the gut results in an overgrowth of non-beneficial bacteria, such an e-coli. The good news is that this is a relatively easy fix. And I cannot stress enough the importance of a healthy diet, as that dramatically reduces the severity of rosacea. That's my nerd snippet. Thank you for fighting the good fight and being a physician for the people!
Hi Dr Shereene I developed rosacea during perimenopause and had some real difficulties with it initially. I've never had the pimples, but I did notice textural changes to the nose and cheeks (bumpy textured skin). Azelaic acid and centella are both staples for me, but retinoids really helped with the textural changes. I worked up to alternating evenings of tretinoin and azelaic acid, which kept it under control for a couple of years. Last year the flares worsened (stress lol) and I had to put the tretinoin aside and go down to a retinaldehyde. My skin has calmed down a lot and I'm going back onto tretinoin in September. I'm Scottish with fitzpatrick one skin, my mum has rosacea and I'm a fairly classic case. I had to remove all fragrance from my skincare, as my skin will not tolerate it at all - even in a cleanser. I also occasionally get eye infections/irritation and use drops as required. The damaged blood vessels are an issue, even when the rosacea itself is very calmed down. I use green colour correctors under makeup to disguise them, as I can't afford laser. Here in the UK it's VERY expensive. My best advice is to keep skincare simple whilst in the throes of a flare, as the stinging from skincare can be very unpleasant. Simple aqueous cream in a thick layer can be used as a gentle cleanse (when even your normal gentle cleanser stings), a gentle moisturiser and a gentle mineral spf - that's it. Once the skin calms down I go back to my treatments and normal skincare. I don't consume alcohol (due to meds for my severe arthritis), I don't eat spicy foods, I never sunbathe and the only trigger mentioned I indulge in a bit of chocolate occasionally. Life has to be lived though and a bit of chocolate is one of life's little pleasures I'm not ready to give up. Best wishes.
Side note: I love your jacket/shirt combo!. Your open discussion of this topic is very much appreciated. Thank you for sharing these more accessible options for self treatment. My derm prescribed me Metrogel, as well as a course of oral antibiotics for a particularly bad flare up of rosacea. After that, I found good success and stability with a very gentle cleanser, and Dr. Jart's Cicapair cream. In my case, I've found that sun exposure also def does not help, so a good, mineral sunscreen is also essential. Born and raised in New Zealand, and being of English and Irish ancestry, I remember vividly several of my great aunts suffering greatly from this, in a generation where such topics were not that widely discussed, nor recognized. There also just weren't that many products available, because of geography and technology. However, they all maintained very simple skincare and makeup routines, which I think helped them to be able to better cope with their condition. They also gave sunscreen to me for birthdays and holidays, which, in hindsight, probably saved my skin, to a large degree.
I have mild rosacea, dry skin and melasma and I’m not sure what type of laser would be good for me. I’ve heard of Lumecca, Lumenis, Fraxel… ugh no idea! 😔 So excited for that video! 😍
@@kristinas5714 seconded! I can be doing absolutely NOTHING and all of a sudden I feel my face heating up and next thing I know its bright red and feels like it's on fire...super fun! 🙄
I *completely* understand why someone wouldn’t want to support Naturium or Susan Yara, but there’s no denying their azelaic acid serum and emulsion are cosmetically elegant and effective. They’re readily available to me and they don’t pill. I would highly recommend them. ALSO, I find keeping cold water with ice in my mouth helps to calm the heat on my face. I also keep a rechargeable, portable handheld fan in case I start to feel flushed.
I’m wondering if I’m developing eczema. When my skin on my forehead is too dry I get this raised red mark. It isn’t crusty it’s just red and it burns and then itches. Once it’s moisturized it goes away. It’s so weird. This just started about a month ago.🤷🏼♀️
I am 43yold with rosacea type 2 developed when I turned 40. I have not had a flare up in two years. I love that Hyram has all fragrance free products! If you’re someone that has skin issues, regardless of what they are, it will almost always be better to use something that is fragrance free. Fragrances can trigger so many problems.

Thank you for being so informative direct thorough and detailed specially coming from experience and seeing how lovely and supple your skin looks it gives me Hope as I am a bit at a loss and working on the feeling of discouragement as I know it is personal and simply will be a journey to discover what will work for me in the long run .. but at least it gives me somewhere to start with my rosacea, it's been pretty stubborn and I always feel self conscious whenever I'm out in public specially once I have to interact with someone it is something that truly bothers me but trying to educate myself with informative videos such as yours and I am very grateful and appreciative with any info you share in regards, thank you for it.
I have been using Klaron for years. It is a prescribed lotion, but it keeps bumps under control very well. And - yes please to a video about laser treatments and even ultrasound therapy! Please!
Thank you for this video! I have rosecea for 5 years. My triggers are alcohol spicy food abs heat. It has gotten worse since i work with a mask. Your videos have helped me to find a routine that works for my rosecea.
I just wanted to thank you for these videos! I have been working on my skin since middle school with no luck, but after I had a severe allergic response to a beauty product I ditched out my whole routine and started over. Your videos have been the only skincare videos that have made the most difference in how my skin looks! I also appreciate that while you value science and facts, you also have fun with your skincare, too. ❤️
In science class I had a flare up and this girl sitting across from me screamed very loudly “what’s wrong with your face”. The class was quite small so EVERYONE stopped and stared at me. I was so embarrassed
That sucks. Sorry to hear that but understand that the meanness is immaturity and ignorance. People like that aren’t worth getting upset over. You don’t need or want approval from anyone like that. They’ll cause havoc and pain to everyone around them so stay clear. It takes a ton of work for mean people to change so most never change. That’s their problem, not yours. Check out the new mini-series ‘Under the Bridge’ if you want to understand how mean people can cause havoc, pain and worse. Surround yourself with people who are only smart and kind (have lots of common sense, like to learn, though no one’s perfect…we make lots of mistakes when young and as adults) if you want to be happy. Focus on who and what makes you happy and give mean people your strong boundaries. Being happy helps us stay healthy including our skin. Being truly and honestly smart, kind, healthy and happy will make you much more attractive than any mean person no matter how pretty they might look on the outside. All the best. ❤
Ive had those situations in school. Very embarrassing and difficult on the self esteem. Kids can be very cruel. Esp back in the 80’s 😢 when I grew up. No anti bullying back then and it was hard.
You’re my favorite derm on RUclips and I am so thankful of you for doing this video. I feel like there’s no products that work for me and don’t irritate my skin
My rosacea skin loves sun 🤷🏻♀️ .. it effects my mood positively. But stress, hormonal imbalance and mites are a no no for me 😕 Thank you for this vid 🥰
I suffered with rosacea for almost 10 years thinking it was just acne and of course I was using products for acne prone skin, after hitting 30 things got a bit worse, so I decided to see a dermatologist, this is when I realized that I have rosacea. Right now I only use a cleanser for sensitive skin, an anti redness moisturizer and of course sunscreen. SVR sensifine Ar works wonders on rosacea skin, I used other products but this one is a win, at least for me. I stay away from exfoliating my skin with harsh products and I find out that using a cotton with micellaire water helps to smooth the texture of my face without irritating it, I use this technique once on a while.
Thanks so much for the product recommendations! Rosacea is such a tricky thing to get a handle on and many dermatologists haven't been helpful in recommending things that work. Honestly, I've found that what I eat and my stress level has a huge effect on my rosacea.
I actually have these broken veins near my eyes, and cheeks. And I also experienced flaking on my eyebrows like last year which lasted a week. That made me feel down tbh! Thanks for the Nizoral recommendation. I'll use that one since for some reason, any anti-dandruff shampoo won't work on me. Love you as always ♡♡♡
I just came back from my physician who diagnosed me with mild rosacea. I would have never guessed it because I'm 24 but listening to this it was actually really obvious. Sunlight and chocolate really trigger flare-ups. My dad has eczema and has these tiny blood vessels visible on his face, my aunt instantly breaks out when drinking alcohol. It took my derm 2,5 seconds for a first suspision and 3 questions for a definitive diagnosis. I also have the blood vessels on the top of cheeks, I get bumpy red flushes on my whole face, with the exception of my eyes and next to my mouth. It's like I have a red sheetmask on. I also have the flaky skin around my eyebrows. I currently have a prescription for metronidazol creme, but I will definitely look into the azeleic acid! Thanks for this video!
honestly one of the best videos ive seen so far, i have rosacea type 2 so im often red and also have acne time to time. so tired of looking for solution, ive tried almost everything and nothing helps to be honest, but your explanation of each type of product is very good and helpful, thank you
I had my first HUGE rosacea acne flare in November 2021. It is now August 2022 and I’m still struggling a bit. It is better but not clear. 😫 I’m using metronidazole gel in the AM and 15% azelaic acid in PM. If I get too hot or go out in the sun ☀️ I get atopic dermatitis. It stinks having such sensitive, reactive skin.
Have you tried dermatica skin care. Using it from last one year. And I can recommend that. They are online. Ask you to upload your pictures and then recommend suitable formula. I have tried calrins product and Clinique product and dermalax... None of them made me worry free but surely reduced it. Dermatica seems like life long cream just like all others. Just like to keep our skin clean we use soap or use cream to keep it moisterized . Same way rosache cream looks like long time use. But dermatica cream certainly makes you go makeup free. I have used it for one year. Still using it. And I am happy.
Dairy product can be a trigger. Cows milk and cheese for instance. Increase of omega 3 will decrease inflamation and ik can help to calm down Rosasea. I know this from experience. You need to try it for two months at least if it helps to calm down your skin. Of course this comes along with proper skin care.
Hallo Dr. Idriss:) Im in Germany and here is so difficult to get an appointment with a Dermatolog so I’m sooooooo happy finding you!!!Could you pleaseeeee make a video about eczema!!!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻💖 Sending you love from Germany 🥰
In your laser video could you please touch on laser hair removal? The potential risks/side effects to the skin and things to look out for when choosing a clinic/beautician. Would love to hear your perspective.
I was using prescription azelaic acid for 6+ months and never saw a difference, but it did cause crazy sensitivity. The product that helped the most after research was mandelic acid - HOLY GRAIL! I have only used the one from The Ordinary but oh my god... pustules vanished overnight, redness went down by 75%+ and my skin adjusted to it immediately. It also worked similar to a BHA and exfoliated my skin without causing a flare up and clears my hormonal acne when I get a breakout! Would like to try other brands but the acid itself is incredible and I highly recommend to anyone struggling with rosacea!
Of course listen to ur derm, but it could be Keratosis Pilaris Rubra Faceii, it is often confused with rosacea and shows in red patches. It has similar treatments of gentle products, V Beam, etc
oooh be careful with antibiotics.... like make sure to use the right probiotics afterwards, otherwise you won't only have a face issue, but also a gastrointestinal issue. make sure it's not a sign of an internal issue eg. is your liver, kidney, hormones, histamine levels, whatever all are okay... fingers crossed anyway
I would love love love to see a video about the laser treatments for rosacea!!! The things dr Idriss mentioned are also high histamine/histamine inducing, and alcohol is a DAO inhibitor which means it inhibits the enzyme that breaks down histamine.. I have histamine (and salicylate) intolerance and understanding that and implementing the knowledge has changed my rosaceq prone skin among my Clinique face oil and CeraVe moisturizer..
My dermatologist said I have mild vascular rosacea. I notice almost the same in my youngest kiddo. I do get blackheads too. My dermatologist said I have sensitive acne prone skin. I think more combination. She just gave me tretinoin and said to try it and then we can talk about lasers but no real guidance on incorporating into routine. She also said it's genetic for me because my family has a spectrum of skin conditions. Also gave me clindamycin. I don't avoid any of the triggers. I can't avoid heat because I have Fibromyalgia.
Hi, I'm a stereotypical rosey cheeked Scottish person and my exersise of choice is swimming. The older I get the more the chlorine irritates my skin. Am I best using a barrier cream before I swim or is it really about a good cleanse post swim? Any advice much appreciated.
Yay thank you so much - I would love to learn more about laser or other procedures to help with Rosacea. Please could you also do a video on your top dermatologist procedures for the different skin types or age brackets to help combat lines and wrinkles, increase elasticity etc. Which are good to start in your 20s vs must haves in your 50?
Thank you very much for the themes every week, very enlightening. Can we have a video on eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis; the differences, triggers/causes; and recommendations for a treatment? I suddenly developed eczema and unfortunately in the visible zone (neck). Having hard time because it comes and goes with the changing weather and it's quite unpleasant and itchy. Thank you!
I am going to have to try some of these! My face hurts all the time now and it’s even making it hard to sleep as my pillows hurt my face! I have tried so many different things and then gave up for almost a year to just leave my face alone and now I’m back to looking I definitely need help. Thanks for this video

Hello Shereene! I suffer from rosacea and found this video to be very helpful - lots of new tips. I get flaky skin around my mouth. Would that be the same thing you’re talking about in this video? In terms of regular maintenance for rosacea, I’d be interested in a video about professional treatments and at-home light therapy masks or micro current devices/treatments. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in such an accessible, enjoyable way! Xx
Same! He has been struggling with it for so long and it is so hard to get him to commit to a shampoo/face cream. But this video I think will break it down for him so he can fully understand what's going on and that it CAN be taken care of!
I'm not sure what I have. Ever since college (I'm in my mid 30s now) I started suffering from flushes. Ugly red blotches on my neck and chest whenever I'm in a social situation. So I accredited it to my social anxiety. But then it also happens when I drink alcohol or when I go through extreme temperature changes like going out to the heat after being in air conditioning.
Would love a version of this but with luxury products. I loveeee skincare and all rosacea videos talk about drugstore products, would love some luxury products that are good for rosacea and redness 🩷
Thank you so much for empathizing and helping! I'm tired of docs just saying that people put blush on to have red cheeks. I don't have pustules but people ask me if I'm okay because I'm so red. I have the broken capillaries and am worried about my nose enlarging eventually. And I red up at the drop of the hat, often mid- conversation. I have an outdoor tropical communications job. Ugh. It's def been getting worse in the past few years.
FACE DANDRUFF I did not know that was a thing but now I realize that’s what I have been struggling with recently. There are a few different kinds of Nizoral is there one that’s best to try for the face? And do you just use it like a face wash? How often? Just a little more info on this approach please and THANK YOU
Dr. Idriss, I would love it if you could do a video all about body care. I've always been so curious about what a proper body care routine would look like because obviously, our bodies can handle a little more than our faces can. However, I'm sure there are still some mistakes we are all making when it comes to taking care of the skin on our bodies. Especially when it comes to shaving and dealing with things like ingrown hairs or razor burn.

@@shereeneidriss Same! Do you have the PiQo4 laser at your office Doctor? That's the one I've been reading about and really wanting to try!
Thank you for the great content per usual:)
oh yes a laser video would be nice
Every time I use the azelaic acid my skin burns but I just started it last week .it scares me ... Should I keep trying it

Vbeam worked for me but yes it is an ongoing thing.
What is the oxytetracycline
@silverfox4694 an anti biotic my GP recommended 👌
+1 lasers! Anti aging, acne.... Etc. Would also love your take on fillers
My rosacea is exactly like this too! I have found regular IPL very helpful (5-6 sessions per year.
I told my coworker I thought I had rosacea because my cheeks are always red & she said she always assumed I was wearing blush.
@@kjc035 3 sessions once a year ! it also helps with glow/ skin clarity so IPL is a win win :-)
The Vbeam laser is the best for rosaces !❤
I find licorice root extract to be very helpful for my redness. I use Paula’s choice calm line (especially the serum) in addition to the azelaic acid at night and Eucerin’s redness relief night cream that also contains licorice root extract. Paula’s choice antioxidant pore purifier serum I believe also contains an azelaic acid dervivative. It works much more slowly than Vitamin C serums but is less irritating to me-I do find the general improvement in tone with Vitamin C also helps.
second the recommendation for the Eucerin. I find that it isn't necessary to use it every night, several times a week is sufficient.
THIS OUTFIT IS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
It looks so Spring-like, like for May and June!!

Hyram’s Green Tea and Centella face wash is the only cleanser I can use with my Rosacea. Highly recommend!
Second this recommendation!

@@MZ-cp5rt It’s normal to get some tingling or itching when you first apply it, but I don’t think it should be painful...was your skin red/irritated after you washed it off.

In science class I had a flare up and this girl sitting across from me screamed very loudly “what’s wrong with your face”. The class was quite small so EVERYONE stopped and stared at me. I was so embarrassed
That’s so mean, she should not have reacted like this🙁

I would be interested to know more about microbiome and its effect on skin. Thank you. I like your cool approach :)
I wish we could edit out our genetics and not have to suffer with this, just because our ancestors did!

Remember to wear sunscreen. Metrogel can make photosensitive.
So true. Less dairy, less gluten. Besides, taking daily skin probiotics.

Hi Dr. idriss thank you for all the information you selflessly share on the internet ❤️ from Philippines!!

I’m sending this to my husband, thank you!
❤️❤️❤️
I just randomly found you and luv this! Very helpful knowledge/super cool energy ✨ Thanksies
Yes please do a video on laser treatments 👍🏼👍🏼
Please! Make a video about lasers for rosácea! Actually is the only thing that can get rid of the redness! Pleeeeaseee!!!!
How often? Just a little more info on this approach please and THANK YOU
Yesss please do a Video about Laser Treatments! What do you think about co2 Laser Treatments ?

Yaaay new Shereene video :D
Can't wait for the release of your products 😃😃😃😃😃
I don’t have rosacea but I still found this so informative!! Great video as ALWAYS ❤️❤️
Yessss 🙌🏽 This is the video I’ve been waiting for!
Omg! this is way more real than any other video I have seen about rosacea. It really pissed me off that everyone keep saying avoid: heat, spicy food, alcohol, cold, stress, sun...literally avoid life. It is stressful and sad for people like us who have rosacea and no hope about it. Thank you for sharing! I´m a new subscriber
She says “flare ups” but my face is always red..took antibiotics for years never did anything..alcohol,spicy foods, chocolate no…it was worse in the heat a hot day 90s will turn me red as a tomato
hello dear Dr Shereene Idriss, thank you very much for all the professional skincare educational videos! 👏 I come from Germany 🇩🇪 ♥️ and look forward to your new topic literally every weekend! ☺️ Could you make a video about large pores and blackheads? which products are really helpful and are expensive laser treatments or green peel worth the money? I am desperate because my blackheads mean that I cannot leave the house without make-up. I'm looking forward to the next format! ♥️
