    So many women bashing this woman because she doesn’t know “real” struggles apparently. It’s really sad that a person can’t struggle because her obstacles are invalidated by other people’s personal standards.

      maybe, just maybe if people learned to REALLY LISTEN to others, and also if there was such thing as constitutional right to stay alive at the end of a schoolday instead of that for carrying guns, there wouldn't be such tragic things happening. you have clearly NOT LISTENED to the lesson (a very universal, spiritual, and extremely useful one) because you got so hung up on the fact that her career was in modelling. what i hear from your comment is that you are very judgmental of life choices of others, you are quick to not hear someone's suffering because it doesn't jazz with your standards (are you doing something really important that betters the world, btw ? if you're not, it's ok, but don't be too harsh on others, please.), a whole lot of bitterness (or jealousy, maybe), and shamefully misusing a truly tragic event to atempt and bring several people down who were trying to be uplifting and to share the tools that can help motivate people and give them strength to achieve whatever it is that they happen to care for. the question is : why are you behaving like this ? (it's a question for you to answer to yourself, i happen to not care, but maybe it can help you.)

      Eva Bernard why you hating on other person successful life?
      As I know she’s been working since 16 years old.
      Hating someone is not going to bring you up, it’s opposite it will make you miserable. Think how you could change yourself and first step is to love yourself and love others!

      @Eva Bernard so working as a model from 16 onwards and even after giving birth to 2 kids doesnt count as working hard in modeling?pfff not too mention her youtube chanel and other business ventures....you are either very stupid or very envyous....probably both...they said the same thingh in Brazil about Adriana Lima you are nothingh special here but look at her now.....

    • @ohwellwhateverr
      @ohwellwhateverr 3 года назад +2

      @Eva Bernard You’re ignorant and judgmental as hell. Her mom left Russia aged 21 as a single mother with a 2 year old daughter (Valeria) to go live in a foreign country where she had no connections, nothing. She built herself up from nothing. Valeria had a very modest upbringing and worked hard to get where she is today. So what if she married an older man? That’s her business and not yours.
      Get some perspective and some humility.

    The hate comments on this video are a perfect example of "you're not allowed to be sad because someone has it harder than you" or "you can't be tired after working 6 hours because another person worked 8." This is a very insecure mindset to have that does in fact come from jealousy and lack of empathy. No one tells people they can't be happy because someone else has it better. Anyone can have struggles.

      The hate I witness towards models is disgusting, every job requires hard work. Modeling is not easy like people think, and the money isn't great unless you're a super model.

    • @mariagabbott
      @mariagabbott 5 лет назад +1

      I dunno...I know where you're coming from but when feel sad / rejected / defeated by life I always tell myself that I have it easier than most people in the world (I'm Aussie - if you're middle class in a country like Canada, US, UK, Western Europe, Australia you're lucky) and my issues must seem trivial to many people out there. It works to snap myself out of a depression. When I complain about working 9-10 hours a day in my comfortable, well-paying office job, I feel like an idiot

    • @alexys.g2306
      @alexys.g2306 5 лет назад +5

      Maria G I understand that but sometimes that doesn’t help it hurts more. For example depression doesn’t care what life you have,how hard you work,or what race you are,or where you come from or how much money you have.Depression can be for any and everyone

    • @alexys.g2306
      @alexys.g2306 5 лет назад +1

      Maria G also anxiety can play a part. I unfortunately have it and it’s different types but i know how mines work and I can scream all day for my mind to shut up but it doesn’t I can say well people have it harder but then my anxiety twist it and say I’m selfish and I have no reason to be sad or depressed I’m stupid for it. But I understand where you come from because it helps some people . But what some people are saying to her aren’t helpful and encouraging words but hate and disgusting negativity.and that should never be acceptable

    My ‘big moment’ that I totally blew was my Cambridge university interview for their medical school - cried for 2 days afterwards I could tell from each interviewers face they were like no who is this girl. I let my insecurities get to me, I didn’t feel these people were my world both my parents are unemployed my answers were blank even though I had been studying for months but it taught me so much now in hindsight: and failure is never the end of the world, only a lesson

      Sim Khok Yee no it is not. That is how many people react to failure, to protect themselves. If you're not accepted to your dream school, it's them who did not recognise your genius, if you are rejected by a guy or girl you like it's their fault for not seeing how amazing you are. No it is not, you didn't show them because things don't always work out as planned, and I realise in life the more excited I am about something and the more I want to impress, the more I mess up, just like she did. It doesnt mean that I dont KNOW that I can do way better than that, its just that in the situation I couldnt get myself to. And thats sad and fucking dissapointing but it's not the end of the world and it's not other people's fault

      Gloria Holly uh its not your fault for not showing them it's their fault for not trying to get you to show them. If someones not interested in getting to know you then it IS their loss because 1 day you could be some rich successful man/woman you just never know
      Edit: and 9 times out of 10 they end up regretting it. But Carly is also right. It sometimes isn't anybodies fault.

    I love you and all, but...it is much easier to "fail" when you are married to a rich guy and a white, attractive female model. Failing for an average woman usually isn't quite as enlightening, but just stressful and terrifying because we can't just move on to pay a fortune to study nutrition or start a youtube channel. We have to work to pay our bills!

      Failing is never easy no matter your skin colour, married or divorced. Don't let yourself be discouraged with excuses. YOU can grow and learn lessons and better yourself from every experience. The attitude in your comment is not one of a winner- its one of defeat. That will get you nowhere. We all have our struggles (small and big) but There are 287463756346549365 examples of successful people from all walks of life that made it! Oprah is a perfect example- look her story up. Please don't live your life filling your mind with thoughts such as "I cant do this because...." - YOU CAN. Best of luck to you

      Valeria Lipovetsky your response is trash, in that comment she was not making excuses she was stating facts as to how and why underprivileged, colored women have a lot less chances. As a privileged white women you will never understand this, so please never again speak on behalf of us colored women. Yes Oprah made it, you are correct, but she had to try 1000000x harder than a white women would have. Just a fact.

    omg im about to cry, i had a similar experience once when i was i think 14 y/o i used to make tv commercials and i was filming one day and suddenly got my period and i was new to it so i wasn't prepared and so i got very distracted and i kept going to the bathroom for paper because i was very afraid to tell anyone and i was also in pain i clearly did a horrible job so they let me go and my self esteem just kind of disappeared i cried a lot and tried to forget it since then but seeing this makes me think about how much trauma i still have in me because i just like tried to erase that moment instead of learning from it

    Her life compared to ours is different; at least most of us can't literally relate to her experiences, because she has a different style of life. She was introduced to the modeling industry at a young age. According to her and her experience, this was a failure, a rejection. People shouldn't be feeling jealous. Yes, it's sometimes hard to hear another person's struggles and if they don't seem as " bad" as yours it's easy to bash on them and invalidate what they've been though. HOWEVER I think a huge realization that I've had is that EVERYTHING we go through and experience is based on our own perception. To one person something might seem like the hardest thing in the world but to you it might seem like a no brainer. But that doesn't change what the other person is feeling. We all have challenges, we're all struggling in our own ways, and we all have different stories and purposes so it's up to you to make the best of what you got and not let excuses stand in your way. If you can't relate to someone then find someone else and don't bash the person. Any judgement is self judgement. Level of confidence and happiness is not determined from what your life looks like but how you feel and that's totally in your power to create. Thank you for sharing your experience Valeria! Xoxo

    No shade to VS models, they're obv stunning, hard working women, but their job is - their beauty. That's what happened! Your job, your purspose is not your beauty. Tho you are pretty much one of the most beautiful women I know of, your strenght is your personality.
    So thank God you didn't get a career as just a model who is walking and sitting pretty. Instead, you MADE yourself a career in which you share yourself and your character, and, I for one, am REALLY happy it happened the way it did.

    Valeria, I live in Nigeria (pretty sure it qualifies for Third World Country) and I'd just like to say: ignore the haters who keep attempting to bring up your race or good looks. Everyone fights their own battles, full stop. I'm not watching your videos to 100% relate to you. I don't think ANYONE can fully relate to you except yourself! I don't understand this white privilege thing at all. Not all white women are in the same boat. Some are disabled, plus sized, disfigured, have disabilities. Some just aren't model material. And even those who happen to be white, female and model material STILL cannot 100% relate to you because they may, compared to the struggle of your early life as an immigrant, have been in a place of "privilege" for being born in the U.S, some of them also born to already rich families (like Kendall, or etc). NO ONE should be watching this to relate 100% because everyone has their own life, setbacks and history which shapes them into who they are. Idk if I'm making sense. The point of this video was "DEALING WITH FAILURE", failure being the key point. The failure was someone working so hard to acheive a goal and not reaching it. This could be applicable to ANYTHING, like not getting into your dream college.

    Failure is just letter of our book of life.
    What we need to do is just fill rest of our pages with challenge,success,failrue,and challenge again.
    Or who would read others' life story unless all have same pages and pace of life and answers?
    Thousands of books are here on the earth. And I definitely and gladly will read your book as always no matter how many failures you make, Valeria. Cuz your pages are full of inspirations I look for.
    The thing I found extraordinary of your book is, your pages are full of 'Do what I craved and learn from days' not letting those failure letters make your book to end there. Love you. Cheer up.
    Failure is experience itself not a mistake.

  • @PettyBlue1

    First big failure can feel devestating. I know it only happens when you dare to reach further than you know. And it's so so important to keep doing that, to not lose faith in yourself just because you failed.
    This video felt so raw and real - you don't often get to see this side of success. Thank you for this! xoxo

    I totally relate to being soo close to your dream and everything falling through. My dream is to be a software engineer at Google and somehow I was recruited for an interview after my junior year of college for their summer internship. I didn't apply because I didn't think I would get it but they came to me and I was freaking out, I studied so hard for it but when it came time for the interview I just froze, forgot everything I knew, and all my insecurities came crashing down at this one moment and I completely blew it. I was so close, but I've learned from that experience so that's important.

    I really don't understand the negative comments on this video. Valeria, you are the most genuine RUclipsr I follow/subcribe to. I admire that you try to incite inspiration and relate to your viewers. You have true grace in the way you take the time to respond to your viewers and reply with kindness. Everyone has their failures. Sharing and talking about our personal experiences should serve to breed more understanding and compassion for one another. Diversity not only exists in race, ethnicity, and creed but also in experience and point of view. Thank you for sharing your failures and what you've learned. We all have room to grow. ❤

    You lost one chance, one opportunity, but have u ever thought about what ur life would be if u got that one chance? Failure is the only way for someone to succeed, not everyone gets what they want from the first shot, it always happens after many many tries. Now that you didn’t get accepted, You moved on with life, ur life progressed. You have a job, a family, and many viewers that support you in what you do!So you should really be happy that you have a family now that will see you as their role model but not only them us too! And that’s life after-all, this is how it goes XD I’m so happy for you Valeria, i hope you keep doing what you do and most importantly believe in yourself!❤️ xxx

    You are so mature for your age. Rejection is really hurt. I have been rejected many times through out my life and it is still painful but time heal me. Along with it I have realized it was just a life experience that taught me something everytime. I have failed at job interview at the last stage. I passed all the first written test and psychology but not last one to one interview because I was really unprepared and unexperience and too nervous. That failure and rejection remind me next time to learn more and prepare more about why I want to work at ‘that’ company and why I apply ‘that’ position. Failed at relationship remind me what I need to change about myself to become a better me. And so on. Yes, I agree failure is a stepping stone for all of us:) Keep it up Valeria💃🏼

    Hey Valeria thank you for sharing this experience with us, its truly very interesting and something we don't hear everyday. After following your channel for a really long time and watching literally every single video of yours I can't seem to shake this thought out of my head every time I watch your "inspirational/self love" videos, and judging by the comments obviously I'm not alone here. I appreciate that you're sending positive energy through your videos but it seems only like a means to gain subscriber loyalty and empathy to your character. I believe as you mentioned at the age of 19, you have the support of a man dripping in wealth to support you while you go after YOUR dreams. And from what it seems modelling isn't a full time career or at least you're not getting enough jobs that amount to a significant income and so the income mostly from your husband. So let's face it because it's the truth and most of us that are NOT young teens can grasp this that you are, since you were young, very advantaged mainly because of the financial support provided from your husband. And hey! this is great and I'm certainly not judging however don't act like you have gone through the worst of life and rose from ashes of poverty to achieve what you have today, Nope you've had a lot of "help" to get to where you today. So pls don't use "inspiration videos" as a manipulative way because I know how many girls can watch these videos and think wow this girl gets us, she's a true rags to riches. Maybe your mom is but I highly doubt you are.

    • @lycheebobo3391
      @lycheebobo3391 6 лет назад +1

      Ps I know this comment will may get bashed but all I want to say to some young girls watching this is please listen to those in your life that loves you and take with a grain of salt those ppl on the Internet because you don't know for sure if what they're saying is true and the motive behind their videos. Maybe they're really trying to reach out to young girls or they're just trying to grow their channel by reaching out to young girls so they'll get more sponsors and this may become a means to support themselves and get on extravagant trips with big brands. Behind everything Valeria SAYS is something very objective, she's been married at an young age to a much older rich businessmen WHILE pursuing her dreams. Not many of us will live this way of life, so be realistic, don't put your faith in other people especially ppl you don't fully know. Believe in yourself and one day when you've achieved it in life whether it be financially or emotionally you'll realize these young beautiful girls that married rich old guys, their biggest insecurity is they took a short cut in life (not that they didn't work at all) and that's why they want you to believe they worked hard, went through the unbearable. What people talk about the most is usually where their insecurities are.

      Lychee Bobo thank you for watching and for your input. I usually don’t comment on comments like yours but I also understand you can’t possibly know my past so I wanted to shed some light. I started working at the age of 15 and help my mother to support our family, luckily i had the opportunity to work as a model but let me assure you that if it wasn’t Modeling it would have been anything else because for me the goal was to make money and help my family. By no means I’m saying we lived on the street but money was always a struggle. I started working and making money and supported myself this whole time, I put money aside, sent it home to my mom when I was abroad and kept working- it was my FULL TIME JOB while still studying and finishing high school remotely. I met Gary at 20 years old- still financially independent. Gary came from poverty and his first job was at McDonald’s when he was 14. He worked his ass off to get to where he is today and he supported and still does his mother through all these years. We both share the same view on money and hard work. Nothing fell from the sky for us. I took a break from Modeling when I got pregnant (naturally) and was looking for another industry to get into-> nutrition. I can’t not work- I hate it. I need to contribute and make money- that’s what makes me happy. My videos about self love and motivation come from personal experience. I’m not saying everyone can relate to it but it’s not my job to worry about pleasing everyone- this is MY story. You can choose to get inspired or unsubscribe. Lots of love ❤️

    It doesn't matter if she is rich or has a rich husand or what ever. Im sure She had to work hard to be on this point of her life. Of course valeria is in a privileged position but I think she knows that and she enjoys it.(wouldn't we all do this?) We should appreciate the things we have in our life and not be sorry for it. I can't compare my life to valerias life. So I m not in the position to judge her. Nor am I in the position to judge anybody. So I just want to say thank you for this video. Everyone had made the experience that their dream just won't come true. This is a hard thing for everyone. So thank you that you told us how you survive and learn from failure. Everyone carries a package of failure or selfdoubt or whatever it might be. Thank you that you are sharing your package with us. Keep going! you are a real inspiration.

    All the positive and inspiring people like you, who can also spread a great message of self love and self improvement, are always the perfect target for the people who don't believe in all these "good vibes things", neither they believe in themselves. They will always have excuses for their lives and don't want to understand that they have the power to change almost everything they don't like, because it's easier, because it's surrender. (And your life is not perfect just because you have a beautiful family and your problems are not less than any others'.)

    Every success or failure has a purpose. And sometimes, a failure really isn't a failure. Most of the time, a failure is a blessing in disguise and it's leading us to something that is much greater than we imagine. Something that is suited for us much better in the long run. The problem is that, in the moment that we fail, it's hard to have that type of positive thinking. I think having patience to understand how things play out and seeing a failure as a blessing, is important too. But having patience is a different lesson in itself. Sometimes we can't control the things that happen to us, but we do have the responsibility and control of what our response is. This is what I have learned so far.

I myself feel so insecure about my height and body and pimples and dark circles and not only that but knowing that someone else had to cope with the stress of failing at something they are best at is just so heart warming ! All the people in the physical world around me tend to bring me down but for once when I see someone share their true story that admits failure and the way to recovery from it , I can't explain how happy I feel that someone feels the same way I do about their passion !

    Something I've learnt from reading the comments; people can't wait to get angry at you for addressing something they can't relate to, as though that makes it any less important
    I failed an audition on the violin and the disappointment was crushing. I cried and drank a lot, and then picked myself up the next day and carried on practicing. Although I've never felt like the rejection was the end of everything, it is nice to see someone I personally look up to has gone through the same feelings and worked hard to get where they are 😊 ignore the haters, theyre miserable people and will always find something to gripe about
    You keep doing you, this viewer enjoys it ❤❤❤

    you’re the older sister i never had. i have my med school interview in 15 days and this is my second one after being rejected 2 years ago. i came across my interview feedback from 2 years ago (again) while sorting my notes and started doubting myself... the feedback was so bad, i feel so little compared to my peers. for some reason while reading my feedback again i started to think that i’m this same naïve person i was 2 years ago but in fact thats not true. i’m still not amazing but i’ve learnt so much from that failure that i should stop doubting myself and be happy that i got back up after my failure and kept trying. i studied hard this past 2 years, had many ups and downs and learnt so much. i’d be lying if i said i dont care what the outcome is since i came out a better person in the end, but even then, if i receive yet another rejection then i can just keep trying. thank you valeria for this.. i was crying and feeling depressed and now i feel much better.

    I just came back from an international speech and debate conference, where my partner and I won first place for duet acting. After traveling for hours, performing 5 times, getting through semifinals and finals we got disqualified. Disqualified when we got 89/90 points, actually did win first place, poured our heart and soul into it, and should’ve gotten the first place trophy. We got disqualified because we took a hairband out of my hair and that was against the rules: there were supposed to be no props allowed and the hairband counted as one. It felt like a complete failure, because we didn’t know who to blame, couldn’t blame others and couldn’t blame ourselves either. But it’s time to bounce back :)

    The comment section sadly shows that a lot of people lack empathy and feel the need to bash things just because they are not privilleged and feel that life is unfair to them (been there done that). We don’t know Valeria a 100%, we don’t know what and if she had to go through anything to say that she only has 1st world problems. She might be lucky she is a beautiful woman but the rest she had to work for, or maybe she was lucky who knows. That‘s life! Her being beautiful, having a great family etc. does not take away a piece of our happiness. I get it, there was a voice in my head that said, „easy for you to say“ but I say no to this voice because this gets us nowhere. The message is: not getting what you really want helps you learn! And why would anyone disagree with that? Depending on where you live, where you‘re from you have a number of choices to make. But saying „can‘t, won‘t, too hard“ will get you nowhere. Do the best you can. If you do, great! Don’t compare yourself with completely different people. Compare yourself to your yesterday: is it better? Are you proud? Yes? Continue!

    I auditioned just once for modeling when I was around 14, I wasn’t too glammed up or anything, I just wore what represented me, and I got rejected, but now I think, why did I spend my time crying for people who didn’t accept me for who I was. Today I’m so proud to not be apart of something that hurt my confidence so much. I’m glad I’m not apart of this “industry” because I have learned that I work better behind the scenes. So at the end of the day. Stay true, and Stay you.💕

    The comment section is pissing me off. Life is not fair. Some have it better, some have it worse, but that is life. You cannot just tell someone their problems are trivial or not as important as other people’s. We all live and experience things differently, some of us are lucky, some of us aren’t. But Valeria is always optimistic and tries to push everyone to be the best version of themselves and that is what you should be focusing on, she is sharing something personal and even when people are entitled to their own opinion, it’s not fair to imply that some people have it worse. It’s like saying: “why are you happy? A lot of people have it better”. You gotta see the bigger picture here. And the fact that she is beautiful, has money and is privileged does not mean she is not human. Humans experience rejection, fear, happiness, joy, sadness, despair, etc. We are all human and despite our situation, we feel negative and positive emotions. Stop bitching about having to work harder, instead, try to motivate yourself to do better. Do you have to work twice as hard? Tough cookies, you suck it up and put one foot in front of the other and give it all you’ve got. Go the extra mile, be all you can be. Don’t discourage yourself by thinking your current situation is gonna stay that way forever, everything starts with a mindset. A lot of successful people come from nothing, and a lot of privileged people end up doing nothing with their lives. It’s all about challenging yourself and working hard because at the end of the day it will be worth it.

    I've been a full time model now for a few years and I think I've started to realise this year exactly how you felt. It's not bettering my life (apart from the money) and I've definitely found it so hard to accept that 1) I was never as successful as I hoped I'd be in the industry and 2) that now I'm going to have to find something that I can happily do for the rest of my life after only ever aiming to be a model. I needed this encouragement Valeria. Thank you

    plus it's really their loss they rejected u. honestly, u are an amazing human being with a gorgeous body and heart and u could perfectly rule on Victoria secrets. however, I'm very glad and proud u took something good from it.
    I understand so much the feeling u felt. I feel that everyday bc I constantly feel I'm failing at school and then I end up actually failing bc of my lack of confidence and self comparation bc to me everyone else is so smart and I seem to be doing everything wrong and I really need to be excellent to get into the uni I want and ugh I know that the fact that I don't have inner strength, neither self confidence affects my performance at school 100000%. however, no matter how much I say I'm gonna do different, I end up giving up, feeling a failure, bc I don't believe in myself and I seem to never be smart or good enough. do u have any tips how I can strength my inner self and stop comparing and be motivated to fight for what I want in life? the fact that I'm battling depression also affects it but u know i wanna do better but it's really hard bc life scares me so so so so much. it terrifies me and gives me so much anxiety bc I don't think I can get through it. thank u so much for being on RUclips ♡ I'm so so grateful. u are amazing. never doubt that
