Do you use a rocking motion because hair scissors have a convex grind?
Back when Ray had personality.
I bought some $20 hair shears 15 years ago to trim my bangs, but they’re dull now. I could go buy a new pair, but I will try to find someone to sharpen them nicely and maybe they’ll magically become a $100 pair 🤔
Where did you find that flat hone? And do you like it? I’ve been looking for a decent one for a while but I haven’t found many options for around $1000 USD. Also, if I end up getting one, would you be interested in doing some training over zoom?
Hi Brennan, I would say do not waste money on cheap flat hone, grab a decent one, even if you quit, you can still sell for less depreciation. I've got KB60 katoku from Alex, Shears Logic, Oregon. around 1800 USD. Yes training on Zoom is viable.
@@raythesharpener5260 thanks for the reply! I’ll look into it that one, I was able to figure out the brand but not the model. I’ll probably be getting one in the next couple months after I sell my edge pro.
