- This is a sumeru World Quest one of the hardest ones to complete due to it relies heavily on RNG to complete. It took me a while to finally complete it so i decided to make a guide/walkthrough of all the important parts of this daily commission. 3.8 patch update (17th Jul) - I've got garcia's paean - the echo of someone, this time garcia asked for any kind of insignia, yet again. Apparently doing that 3 times will give you an achievement, regardless the type of insigna submitted
Hmm, that's weird. I took notes of this commission for a long while. I've given him the insignias 4 times because I didn't know he wanted all rarities, so supposedly I should've gotten the achievement by the 3rd time but I only got it on the 4th time which was when I finally gave him the 3rd different insignia that he needed. Hopefully someone else can reply and confirm if they had the same situation as yours, but at least now you should get the world quest on daily reset. Congratulations brother.
Yes even I completed the entire quest line without giving any Silver or Golden Insignias. Whenever García asked us to bring the Insignias I always gave the common ones and got every achievement related to the quest line. Apparently I was building Kazuha and I didn't want to waste Silver and Golden ones just like that. 😅

Just a few days short of patch 4.6 i finally managed to get the achivement. The quest should be there tomorrow and if not i will literally throw my tablet out of a window. Thank you so much for your guide!

this world quest is by far the most annoying of them all. locked being commissions which are locked behind commission which are also locked behind other commissions, etc.
it's the only quest in the entire game i have yet to do. thank god fontaine doesn't have any world quest that are locked behind commissions.

i finaly did it, recently. anyone creating this sort of content should ask themselves this question: once the quest is done, would the players say: "wow, that story was great", "finaly. oof, this was a great challenge", or "finaly. i won't have to do this anymore". the last one imply that the game would be better off without that quest.
a goal's is to bring enjoyment to the player. i can understand different players having different taste, but waiting for months to UNLOCK a quest? who like that? if i'd get happy to simply wait, i wouldn't pay for any game and sure genshin impact is free, but it's commun knowledge that none would like such a thing.
if this a some sort of parting gift, easter egg of watever, there was better options then create such an annoying quest. creating a musicien npc with his name would normaly be enough. could even made it a radian spincrystal vendor. could have made some sort of in-game monument about him, like horizon forbidden west did. and that's just 2 exemple and both wouldn't have been annoying like that quest.

@@reapergaming3473 i didn't spoke too soon as these didn't exist back when i wrote this. still, i already knew about them, before you talked about it. these 2 are now the 2 most annoying quest to unlock.
btw, i did the sumeru quest and they still aren't unlocked. from my research, it seems they require the players to do even more commissions for garcia, back at sumeru. my guess is that those at hoyo are simply using this quest to vent their frustration at us. who knows. maybe some sort of pay back from the last lantern rite's community uproar. either that or the one behind this quest enjoy targeting completionist and plan this quest's unlocking requirement with a sadistic grin on his face.
at least, in my case, it's not so bad. i was gonna do all the sumeru commission achievements anyway, once done with those of liyue. surely garcia's requirement for his god damn quest will be met, by the time i'm done with the sumeru achievements.
I have never gotten this commission 😭 watched this video two months ago and ever since then I've been on the look out but still no luck
You probably haven't activated the commission first! To do so you need to go to Wangshu Inn, located in Liyue. You'll find a world quest there at the lower level of the Inn. Once you do that world quest then you have to wait until the next daily reset time to start getting these commissions string. You must set your commissions to be in Sumeru as well.

But it's only 3 years since Yu Peng Chen joined Genshin, this Garcia story is somewhat familiar to Yu Peng Chen's method when he composed his musical pieces for Genshin with math's equation.
Is it the story of Yu Peng Chen when he was younger and fell in love with a lady or fell in love with Mihoyo? Maybe its just the parting gift from the Mihoyo creatives team dedicated to Mr. Yu.

You can get the achievement by simply completing the commission 3 times even if you don't give each rarity of the insignia.
I somehow got the quest to trigger after giving gold twice and bronze once. All Sumeru world quests on the board are now completed.
Look for garcia in wangshu in outdoors dining area… therell be a blue exclamation point. complete the quest then the a series of garcia related quests will be available at the sumeru daily commission. wht a hassle right? damn.
How to activate this world quest?

finally today after like a month of setting it to only sumeru and doing the prequest in wangshu Inn i got the comission once!! this is pain.
It took me a year so I understand. Tho don't sweat it, the world quest isn't that important unless you're an achievement hunter. You could get lucky. Good luck 👍
Hi thanks a lot I finally did it right now. Hopefully I get the quest tomorrow and bring this endless story to an end. Then I have only open this other endless painful RNG related quests regarding those cooking guys. There ae even two quests one in Inazuma and one in Sumeru. I have played the dailies in December only in Inazuma, but this quest didn`t occure even once. But I had better luck in Sumeru today.

I hate this so much. I am 43 out 45 World Quests in Fontaine including exploration, achievements, statues, Fountain of Lucine, lvl 10 reputation. You name it! I basically 100%-ed Fontaine and the last thing that holds back my progress is the fact that this stupid commission won't appear and it just so happens to lead to the Word Quest in Fontaine THAT LEADS TO ANOTHER WORLD QUEST IN FONTAINE. I'm locked down from 2 remaining quests by pure RNG. HoYo cooked me so hard with this one. Good luck Fontaine lovers, for we shall hate on Garcia in unison.
That's the unfortunate side to this commission. Unless they decide to improve the commission system more in the future to be able to get specific ones, otherwise it'll stay rng hell sadly. But good luck, hopefully you get it soon!

@@xelan_7 I hope so too. I was only missing that for the last 2 months before Sumeru and I gave up on the last daily the day Sumeru arrived. I thought I could finish those ones quick before Fontaine arrives. Well I was almost right

So i have to give 3 times the gold one to get this achievement or 1 from each other i mean 1 silver 1 gold 1 bronze
Yes one from each rarity. 1 bronze, 1 silver and 1 gold. Just remember your choices so that you don't get this commission more than you need. In my case I gave him bronze 2 times so I had to do this commission 4 times.

@@siito987 yea I first gave him bronze because I was too stingy with my resources, but then figured he might've needed all of them the second time I got it. Hopefully you'll get it more times

@@who________tao this is probably the hardest world quest to complete because it's reliant on RNG. It took me almost a year so there's no surprise you wouldn't get it more often, especially with more sumeru areas being unlocked. Means you're fighting against more commissions every day to get this specific one. But Goodluck on getting it bro!
Do i need to submit 3 different rarities of insignias during Substitutes as well? And also, is completing Key items a specific number of times a pre requirement to trigger Substitutes? Bcoz, i got Key Items more than 3 times and still haven't got Substitutes. If so, how many times do i need to complete Key Items?
From my own experience I deducted that you need to submit 3 different rarities, but a lot of people in the comments said that isn't necessary. Tho in my humble opinion it's safer to just submit 3 different ones just in case because it's hard to get these commissions and you don't wanna mess it up unnecessarily. The part with key item, you only need to do it once but because the bad rng you're having you got it multiple times. Since you're on the substitute part, just focus on doing that until you get the achievement as shown in the video. Then the next day you should have your world quest unlocked. Hopefully this helps even tho its a bit late reply. :D
I only need 10 more points so I can have lev 10 reputation in Fontaine and this is the only quest I can do but I need to do a commission first? Who know how long that will take
@@yukki8603 I'm pretty sure that you can get reputation level 10 even without it. Exploration percentage helps too.
Someone help please I can t find the gracia quest in my dailies
And when I wanted to do the the gracia quest in liyue I can t find it so I guess I already have done it before

If you did it in Liyue that means you have started the quest line. All you can do now is just wait until it shows up on your daily commissions. MAKE SURE to set your commissions to Sumeru because it'll only show up there AND it's rng so it depends on your luck if it would show up or not and just follow the video for the guide. Hope this helps!
i submitted different rarity first and now i’m waiting for the make tool commission, is the sequence of commission important or do i need to do the make tool commission then give the different rarity?
If you got the commission where you give him the treasure hoarder insignias then you most likely already done the one where you make the tool. Right now just focus on giving him all rarities (order isn't important) then you're good to go.

i’ve finished all the quests apart from “the echo of someone” and i’m so tired of waiting for it . Will i lose my progress if i change my daily commission region for a few days ? i’m just so tired of sumeru commissions
I really don't know if it'll reset or not, but most likely it wont. Tho, you don't have to stress about the world quest that much. If you're not a achievement hunter then all you are missing out on would be "not enough primogems for one wish", that honestly it.

You're not doing anything wrong. It's based on RNG, you have to get lucky to get the next phase of the commission. It's the worst so don't stress out. 👍

If you finished the blacksmith commission then don't worry. You will be able to do the next one even if it gave you the blacksmith one again. You need to be lucky to get the next commission because it's based on luck. Just be patient 👍
I got easy peasy 5 times is that because What options did you choose in the video? What should I do? I have been like this for 6 months
That part won't complete unless you follow the instructions, if you had it complete that means you did it correctly. So there's no possible way to fail it. It took me an entire year to complete this world quest because of bad RNG which seems like it's happening to you too. The only thing you can do is honestly just waiting and hoping you get the next part. All I can help you with is wishing you good luck.

now here’s my dilemma, the garcia related daily commissions aint appearing… damn it!
It is based on luck after all, that sucks but there's nothing to be done unless you get it. Though just make sure you activated the quest's string by starting it from the world quest at the bottom area of Wangshu Inn, then setting your commissions to sumeru.
@@xelan_7 that’s the only sumeru quest remaining. this is quite similar to o archon quest in inazuma. however in this case, garcia commisions havent appeared; not even once.
@@XerxesBreakSama this Sumeru one is the worst by far, it's all based on RNG and then there are so many parts of it. With all the other Sumeru commission in the mix it's very hard to get it. Tho I wish you luck since it took me a entire year to complete it when it first released.
@@xelan_7 im planning to complete fontaine’s quest and leave out sumeru by the end of march. this is what I did with Inazuma’s O Archon quest series.

It's luck based commission. Unfortunately there's nothing much you could do besides waiting until you get the next part.

@@eoc.l honestly you shouldn't stress too much about it. The amount of primogems you'd get out of the entire thing isn't really worth the effort put. And besides you can always come back to it, the current progress you've made on it doesn’t reset so no worries there.
how do you know if you did the quest or any of the commission parts?? is their anyway to tell at least if i have the comms activated?
The only indication to know if you have it is by going to Wangshu Inn in Liyue (the giant tree Inn) at the lower side of that place there's a world quest that you have to do. Once you did it or if it's not there then you have to set your commissions to Sumeru region and from there the quest string should show up if you're lucky because from there on it's based on RNG. Hopefully this help!
Arriving in Fontaine but Garcean and Lutong already have troubles with people wanting his Calculator invention.

Unfortunately, it's based on luck. Nothing can be done until you get it. I took me almost a entire year before I could get it done. The only thing you can do is whenever you get it make sure you do it the correct way as shown in the video so you don't have to do things again incase you did it wrong. Wish you good luck brother! :D

@@xelan_7I really don't think so, because Garcean's quest is related to an achievement. So the chance for his commision to spawn is higher than other repeatable quests.

@@xelan_7 i have gave all three insignia and next day i got "Garcia's Paean : By Bearings" Commission instead of the world quest. Is that normal bc theres nothing like that in the video
@@iciuci4112 you have to make sure you got the achievement after giving the last insignia. If you didn't get the achievement, then you must've messed up on the insignias. Make sure you gave him all 3 rarities and once you get the achievement you should get the world quest on the next daily reset time.

i dont understand why you did random answers on this part ? are we not supposed to give the answers the blacksmith gave us ?
i saw lot of guide of this and they did all the same (recently, i got it in loop and never giving me the next one rip)
i kinda already had the commissions with insignias a lot of time long ago and didnt get the achievement too :/
I was stuck on this blacksmith part for a long time. So I decided to confirm if there's only one answer or not, that's why I was trying all of them. You will not be able to finish that specific commission until you give him the answer the blacksmith told you, so you can't possibly fail that one. The insignias part you need to give him all diffirent rarities as far as I know otherwise it wont complete. Once you get the achievement that means you did it correctly.

@@pictoract you don't have to worry about everything you did before. Right now just focus on the insignias part since it's the last part. Make sure to give him all rarities every time you get it and you will get the achievement. Once that's done, the next daily reset will give you the world quest.
