I've spent 3 weeks in Ecuador recently. To buy this lens for that weather and conditions was the best decision I could've made. The versatility and sharpness are amazing. Yes, I usually shot birds @ 560mm f5.6, but many times I needed 200mm or rather 300mm for other animals or landscape photos. Zooming out many times when the birds were too close.

Well said! I'm keeping it. It's a killer in every way except for the weight. I can live with that. I'm sure you got some amazing shots!
