A lot of people are jumping to conclusions on how much phys reduction you get from "...and protect me from harm". It can be everything from mediocre to completely broken good. Glad to see you call out that we can't really know yet.
Really bummed about infernalist, i expected better ignite and fire skill nodes. I guess il try either bloodmage with fire spells and crit or stormweaver with elemental storm ( it hinders enemies inside)+ double chill node for juicy slows, and arcane surge nodes, and focus on ice/ fire spells and mana flare/ archmage
People keep talking about Chronomaster and the 33% cooldown trigger avoidance and instinctively want to pair it with the longest cooldowns possible. I think there is a stronger route with one or 2 skills with smaller cds. Its a percent chance and hammering on a 3second cd post CDR and 33% of the time hitting it again is the same relative DPS boost and will feel way better to play. I think simply hourglass on a solid spell like hexblast or some of the minions and their 3-4 second cd activates might end up being better in consistency. I think hammer of the gods will give rise to some insane clips where people high roll but i cant imagine mapping long term on a 20-32 second cd ability you just hope hits a 33%. Seems specifically to be an anti boss configuration where you just go gambling. It also gives 33% chance to avoid putting a skill on CD not a gem skill so it might have interactions with items which we havent seen yet.
People are sleeping on Chronomancer with Hammer of the Gods in strength stacking with ignite. Go Now and again, and Time Snap. This will double the amount of hammers, and sometimes triple and quadruple it. Pick up Circular Heartbeat and The Rapid River for recoup. From the Sorcerers starting location on the passive tree, you have easy access to more recoup, regen and ignite on the way over to the melee and armor section of the tree. With a couple of nodes you end up with 61% physical recoup and 46% elemental from the tree alone. Due to ignite scaling the hit will always trigger ignite with just support gems, and you can scale it to about 25.000% -with double that as ignite tick every second for eight seconds after the initial hit. It will one shot any rare, unique or normal boss, and for ubers it will tick away passively so you can dodge attacks as they die rapidly. Use shield and one handed mace with defensive attributes for clear and maps as the damage is already overkill and a two hander on switch to bonk bosses. You'll have massive sustain, armor, block, recoup, regen, slow if you want from the Apex of the moment, as well as slow from blasphemy since you are running no other spirit, giving you about a 50% slow around you. Add warcries to buff both damage and tankyness. This build looks really crazy.
From the wording it sounds that you won't, as it says "removes all spirit" hence I would assume it means that your spirit = 0. GGG are usually very concise with their wording for skills and stuff, therefore if Darkness could work on spirit, I'd assume it would have been worded as "Darkness replaces spirit" or something like that.
@@Lethmyr_ I think there was some discord chatter about it potentially not being a bug but intended because of the way they designed shapeshifting forms. They seem to be not in agreement about whether or not to change it but I think they are likely going to.
For archmage does inc% ligthning damage double deep if you are playing a lightning skill, by applying to the skill damage + the archmage damage, or is the archmage damage at the end and so % increases only apply to the skill damage? Trying to undertstand if you need to be scaling increased lightning damage to play archmage
Breach rings are changed in PoE2, they don't double in breach, instead they have a max 50% quality. in PoE1 Vaal Breach does work for the old breach rings though.

They need to go waaaaaay back to the drawing board and rework the entire Infernalist ascendancy. They do have a cool idea with the infernal flame but it is realized so bad its absolutely baffling... 1) the more flame you have the more damage per second you should be taking instead on demon form. You should not be losing flame on reaching max. 2) Players should be rewarded by playing with high flame. You take more damage per second but also deal more damage while above half flame. Deal extra crit or ignite damage while on high flame. 3) demon form and infinite curses from Bloodmage should be its own ascendancy 4) damage taken should be converted into fire and fire damage only. 5) 2 minion nodes should be added. Overall: keep the hound, rework the flame mechanic, damage taken should be converted into fire, add 2 minion nodes.

Yeah, same, I was kind of hoping it would be the ignite oriented ascendancy but seems like it will just open up some other ways to ignite instead.

@@Goratha Also minions have active cooldowns that can be used so you should be able to shift and refresh those and combine with grenades.
Im going cold chronomancer for this reason to support the wife, theres a cold support for autocrit frozen mob on hammer seems fun.
Chronomancer skills have high cooldown, so it is still usefull even if your main skills dont have cooldown
For blood mage, don't forget that basic attacks can be supported and scale along with being freeeeee.

It's an added lightning damage buff. Increased % lightning affects all your sources of lightning, so it should stack.

Does into the breach proc breach rings?
Breach rings are different in POE2 they give quality up to 50%, I don't believe they interact with breaches anymore the way they did in POE1.
