You're not wrong about the Apple car play not functioning properly. I rented 2 different Ford Escapes during the time period that my 2013 Ford Focus was getting repaired at the dealership. One of them was the St-Line trim & the other one was the base trim. Long story short, both of them constantly failed to connect properly to my iPhone and when the Apple Car play did work, my music would either suddenly stop and start playing by itself OR the damn screen would begin to flicker and freeze making it completely useless. What makes this even crazy is that both Escapes had less than 5k miles on it.
Mine works well , wireless apple and android are working perfectly .. and you canturn off the rear seat check alarm lol.. but this guy is great .. i enjoyed the review
Thank you for mentioning at what engine speed the power and torque are greatest, so many so-called auto enthusiast reviewers refuse to provide that information even though their viewers ask them to.
I really like mine and was prepared to be annoyed by a negative review but it’s very valid. The tech package with the larger infotainment is a huge improvement and largely addresses all the issues. Happened to get mine around 28k with that package at a small dealer trying to move inventory.
I work in service at a ford dealership and YUP, the infotainment screen is one of the most common things we see with the newer sync systems, its usually solved by replacing the APIM module and then works really well after that! I imagine most rental fleets don't have them taken to the dealer to fix it which sucks because I think the experience would be so much better. but holy cow it'd be nice if it worked well straight out of the box 😭
This video was hilarious. Loved all the reliability shots taken at Ford. "The hood tends to have a lot of space for you to work on the car and that's a good thing because Fords tend to explode." LOL very true.
Wow. You have basically convinced me not to get this car. I take my apple CarPlay and navigation very seriously. Unreliability in those areas is an instant no for me with cars.
I’m not surprised my 2015 has had Bluetooth connection issues for as long as I can remember. I love the car other than that tho but it’s super annoying and would especially be in a newer model with maps/CarPlay.
sadly all 3 cylinders have that flaw where the middle cylinder always gets the shit kicked out of it being the one that Gets hottest and rings fail first annnnnd head gasket..goes always ..around the 3rd..
I think it looks fine. But I rarely see them. I feel like Ford really has burned upntheir reputation in the past ten years. Had a family friend whose 2016 Escape transmission died at 70k and other Ford owners I knew had issues.
Ford reputation is terrible now. It was never great but the third generation escape was so bad, i don't know how anyone who owned that POS would ever buy another Ford. And Ecoboost engines in general are not great.
@@freshtowels3917we had a 2nd, 3rd and a 4th gen, 4th gen is by far our favorite we have the one he showed just in Grey metallic same equipment and trim

I'm a CX-5er but an upscale version of the Escape with the best engine is very powerful and can take on my CX-5 turbo .

None of these issues in my our 2024 Active.... 🤷🏾♂

It looks much better than the previous generation at least!

Idk why they changed the design of the escape, I’d like to get a new one cause I’ve enjoyed mine but the design is just brutal
If you get the tech package you get a huge infotainment screen

Man I have this car and I love it. But ok. Don't let a random review stop you man.

i miss my old 94 geo metro suzuki swift pontiac firefly or what have you with the lil lunchbox 3 cylinder.

I love my 2024 ST Elite!!!
Typically bad kid review….
If you move to ST you get the fog light
Again it’s upgrade the instrument panel is all digital and shows everything you need
Does the 1.5 ecoboost 3 cylinder have a timing belt or chain. If it's a belt is it a wet belt system i.e a rubber belt running in the engine oil?
im pretty sure it has a wet belt
@@the_random_wacky_games Incorrect as it uses a chain and not a wet belt
@@jmc6000 alright thank you for letting me know
@@the_random_wacky_games
All Ecoboost builddate after 2019 uses a chain, only the oilpump ist beltdriven😢.
Nobody listen to this review! I do recommend moving up to the ST line. I love my ST Elite with the B&O stereo!
It's expensive compared to other crossovers
The MSRP is high but they hand out big discounts on these at the dealers
It's a small SUV not a crossover
Sorry but you sir are boring!
It’s a boring car! Would love if you checked out a few of my other more fun videos, give me a chance 🥺
