- This is a glimpse of how I mix worship for my church service at Regenerate Church in Huntington Beach, CA. We have a Midas M32 sound board. All vocals are on wireless mikes.
For those that want to follow along DCA: 1 is Vocals, 2 Acoustic gtrs, 3 Electric gtrs, 4 Kick/Snare/Bass gtr, 5 toms, 6 cymbals, 7 keys, 8 tracks. INPUTS: Ch1 is male lead vocal, 2 girl lead vocal, 3 girl lead vocal, 5/6 BGM, 9 acoustic gtr, 10 bass gtr, 11/12 stereo electric gts, 13/14 stereo keys, 15 click, 16 tracks, 17 kick, 18 snare, 19 rack tom, 20 floor tom, 21/22 over heads, 23 hi hat. Aux input 1/2 are our live stream bgm. FXs: I use the sends of the FXs not the returns simply because of their placement. I don't just stick to the DCAs but rather like to grab the channels a lot so flipping between DCAs and FXs page is quicker to me than going to the FX returns. This is purely preference and takes practice as you need to push the fader ahead of the time you want to hear the effect return. Bus 13 is the Vox verb, Bus 14 is the Vox Delay, Bus 15 is the snare verb, and Bus 16 is the Acoustic verb.
You'll notice the bass player in the back during the first song seems rather unhappy, that's because I forgot to turn off my talk back mic. Don't forget to turn off your talkback mic! lol
