I just watched Baby Reindeer a few weeks ago, and the actress that plays his stalker is beyond amazing! You will continue to think about her performance even after the show is over, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Baby Reindeer!!
Not that shocking. Goggins has gotten in before for Justified so getting recognized for another drama wasn't surprising. Voters love checking off names they know. It's why I believe Idris got in as well. Most predictors didn't have him on their list but he's been nominated before for Luther.
Look all due respect (classic sopranos entrance) but I think Fallout was amazing and I think there's a chance that Fallout can win best drama series look hold on and I think Walton goggins must won the best leading actor in a drama series every scene that he was in was amazing I'm not kidding I think this year had two great performance one from antony starr from the boys in episode 4 which was I think his career best and Walton goggins from Fallout he has the show before you all judge me this is just my opinion
Shogun is THE best show of the year! It’ll be hard for any show to top it this year! I hope it wins but they could default the final season of The Crown.
I LOVE that you're making content about the Emmys! Honestly I feel like what's been presented on TV has been more interesting than theatrical movies these past few years. And, yes, definitely check out baby Reindeer!
I also wondered why not announce the supporting actor/actress nods? Thanks for commenting on it, it made no sense to me either. Aside from that, this Emmy nomination announcement finally made me start watching “Shogun” which I wanted to see for some months but had been putting off. Hearing so many great reviews and knowing the plot I knew I wouldn’t be able to stop once I started. So far I’m down to episodes 4 and it is really good, actually better than I anticipated. I’m so happy for all the nods for this spectacular epic drama series. About time an Asian series got this kind of recognition they deserve. I’m particularly thrilled for Hiroyuki Sanada who I’ve been watching since I was a kid, having spent a part of my childhood living in Japan. First saw him in “Satomi Hakken-den” when he was a rising star in his twenties in Japan and I had a little crush on him, as young as I still was, lol. He’s really worked so hard to get to where he is today internationally, from “Last Samurai” to “Lost” to all the other Hollywood films and shows. He’s a great actor who’s sustained a lifelong career in showbiz since he was a child. IMO he really deserves this and I hope he wins. Anna Sawai and the rest of the supporting cast are amazing, too.
I was shocked with the amount of acting noms “The Bear” received with ten! But with heavy hitters like Olivia Colman and Jamie Lee Curtis and that stellar second season (and even better third for next year!) not too surprised. A little surprised Feud got so many acting noms but not Outstanding Limited Series. Also excited “X-Men ‘97” got nominated for Outastanding Animated Series, and “The Traitors” for Outstanding Reality Competition Series!
I agree w/ Meryl Streep's supporting comedy actress for OMITB! Also happy about the other SIX acting noms for this show and 21 Emmy noms total! Season 3 was fabulous so very well-deserved!!!
She might not be my favorite performance in a miniseries but Naomi Watts really needs an Emmy or an Oscar one of these days. She has forever been shadowed by Nicole Kidman.
I love Rez Dogs, it's a MUST watch....it's one of the best shows ever. You'll laugh, cry, and feel a whole range of emotions. Literally started me on a path to being a better man. What We Do in the Shadows is hilarious, Shogun is amazing, I loved Night Country and I'm currently binging the Crown. I'm in the middle of season 3. I'm going to watch Mr. & Ms. Smith on your recommendation.
Definitely get on Baby Reindeer. It’s one of the best shows of the year and I am rooting for it to win Best Limited Series. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it.

I just finished Ripley this morning and was completely blown away with its excellence. I’ve seen all the adaptations of the Ripley books and have read all of them, and I was still completely and thrilled and engaged the whole time. I hope this show wins everything it was nominated for. Hope you get to see this one soon Brian.
I was disappointed that Riley Keough wasn’t nominated in limited series supporting actress. I’m glad that Gladstone was nominated but I feel like they both kinda went hand and hand in that show and their chemistry elevated both of their performances💯
@@chamindujanith6337it’s not a film. It’s a tv show. This is the Emmy’s dude. Some shows and even some movies don’t have a lead character, they just have an ensemble cast where everyone is supporting.
@poett8875 But this is more like a TV series where they are two main characters(Keough and Gladstone). Surely they are both not supporting, right? That is as absurd as what happened with Stanfield and Kaluuya in Judas and the Black Messiah.
Baby Reindeer is a must see... stick with it. The leads are not sympathetic which makes it a difficult watch at times but the final couple of episodes really make you think.
Actor: Gadd vs Scott, Limited Series: Baby Reindeer vs Ripley But i also like Swan /Capote For Actress , i am rooting for Naomi Watts but shes against Jodie For supporting Martha vs Marge! Hahaha i love Dakota but i want jessica to win because her role reminds me of Misery! Im happy Gilded Age is nominated but it’s against my sentimental fave The Crown I hope Elizabeth Debeki will win for supporting… For Actress, both Claire and Olivia won their Emmys playing the Queen, hoping imelda will score a win too since it’s the last season. But im also rooting for Shogun’s Anna Sawai. I’m happy Fall Out is also recognized. M Sad no love for Annette Benning :(
REALLY hoping Sofía takes it. Jodie has gotten several awards already, Sofía really transformed and showed us she is a phenomenal actress, plus they need to make it up to her for never giving her one for Modern Family.
I'm really happy for Reservation Dogs. FINALLY! Almost makes up for Devery Jacobs not getting nominated (could have been for actress, writing or directing). And it's more of a comedy than The Bear at least.
Because they like to put themselves into the category where they know they have a higher chance of winning. This has been a thing for several years now but it started getting more attention when Orange Is The New Black switched itself from Drama to Comedy and then started winning in that category. Chuck Lorre actually takes a jab at it in some dialogue in an episode of "The Big Bang Theory" because once OITNB switched to comedy it froze out The Big Bang Theory from winning anymore Emmys in the only category it could qualify for: comedy. I forget what episode it was but Penny was talking about how she and Lenard were still hip and exciting because they watch all the talked about TV shows and she says "Is it comedy? Is it a Drama? Who knows?"
Because they correctly realized they have more chance in the comedy category because of half hour length episodes. It's dumb, but that is how Emmys seem to operate. They should just rename the categories into "hour length show" and "half hour show",
I'm sorry. There is absolutely no way in hell you watched every episode and didn't laugh at all. I get it. You don't think it's a comedy. But enough of the hyperbole. It's old.
Palm Royale picks up in the second or third episode. It was hard to jump right info because, tonally, it’s not what I expected from Kristen. But I’m glad I stuck it out.
You should watch Baby Reindeer please… you will love it. I don’t want to spoil it, but watch it. You say it will remind you of Kathy Bates! Episode 4 and 6 are the best!
I’m happy for Bomer & Bailey get Emmy Nominations as well as the writing for Fellow Travelers, but how come they didn’t get nomination for Best Limited Series??? That’s a crime
I thought the same, but on reflection I can see why they went supporting, it's Richard's story and told from his perspective, whilst Martha drives the story in many ways, it is about Richard and as such she is supporting his story, you could argue it either way really.
I am THRILLED at the noms for all four (yes, I count Meryl!) main performances in season three of Only Murders! I think that season was where all the performers really just... Did That, PARTICULARLY Streep, of course! Meryl and Steve Martin's songs were both absolutely beyond the beyond - I literally had to pause the show and recover when Steve Martin's patter song was done - so I'm glad to see those performances recognized! That said, I am a major fan of The Bear... we'll see 👀
You are literally missing in the best series of the year Shogun and I’m sure they are winning all the awards and deservedly so. I cannot see a world in which Anna Sawai does not win best actress she was immaculate
Yeah very silly that they cannot announce supporting nominations - I mean Meryl Streep must be in there, and possibly with Andrea Martin or Linda Edmond all from Murders.. as well as Elizabeth Debicki who I reckon will get it.
Could not agree with you more on Hacks. The first two seasons we're amazing but season three was pure brilliance, especially that last episode which is an all timer of an episode. Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinders chemistry is mesmerizing
Love your videos. Would you ever do a video on talented actors who won an Oscar but whose career never really took off? I'm thinking Timothy Hutton or Louise Fletcher.
I love some of these nominees, but I am also sad that Quantum Leap, I’m A Virgo, The Vince Staples Show, Boiling Point, Jinx in Doctor Who, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Full Monty, Justified: City Primeval, Have I Got News For You, QI, Taskmaster, Heartstopper, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez in Loot, Sort Of and Dark Winds did not get a single nomination.
I hope The Gilded Age and Hacks get awards because I feel like ppl don't talk about it enough. I especially hope Hannah Einbinder (Ava from Hacks) wins...it will be tough. She did such a great job!🎉😊😊😊

If you can explain how The Bear is a comedy I’ll listen, but the fact that you have to explain it means it isn’t.

well said!!
It's not a comedy and it is only being categorized as such because it is 30 minutes long
You MUST binge Baby Reindeer asap. I haven't been that moved by a TV show in yonks. The last 15 minutes had me on the verge of a breakdown.
I screamed out loud for Andrew Scott! Such an underrated actor! He’s so good in Ripley too!
