Thanks for the review. I do like big and heavy watches so this homage was on my radar. I just picked up a Seestern GS homage (44mm, 191g), so this one is right up the alley. I was deciding whether to get the plain black and white James Bond special edition or the OG one with the orange highlights and numbers. I think you just swayed me to get the OG version. Never had a Phylida before so it's good to see the watch in detail, particularly the bracelet.
Just received this Phylida Seamaster Planet Ocean homage and wore it for couple days. Big and heavy watch just the way I like my dive watches, 43.5mm case diameter, over 200g. Looks right on 7.5 inch wrist. Bracelet links are nice and chunky, no sharp edges in most places. The clasp are fully milled, even the clasp cover and diver extension are milled pieces, very nice. The only thing is there is no micro adjustment mechanism so the bracelet length adjustment is only by removing links, there are two half links to help but I felt I am half way between the half links so I just have to wear the watch a bit loose. Would be nice if the links are screws rather than push pins also. Not a deal breaker though as the bracelet is over nice quality.
Gram for gram it’s lot of watch and quality for the money. It even have a (fake?) Helium escape value. The orange highlights are also nicely copied over. About as good as one can get to a Seamaster PO without spending 50X more. Super pleased to add this to the collection.

Amazing homage. How I wish the companies that produce Phylida and Sugess would consult a PR agency before naming their watches. Those names really² ruined it for me.

My personal favorite is on my baby channel in a short video … I wonder if the bracelet is better on this watch than the pagani design version

Id never spend 8k on a watch with those looks but 100 sure
If Phylida would apply AR coating I would pay more for it. Like now it is to shiny and not very legible in some light conditions.
Been looking at this one for awhile now and cant decide if im gonna pull the trigger on it or not. How does the thickness of it feel after wearing it awhile?

I don't have an issue with homage watches. But let's be honest, nobody is buying this watch because it's a Phylida, they're buying it because it resembles a more expensive watch for a fraction of the price. So I which they'd either offer plain dial versions, or spend some money designing a logo inside of having some random sounding name in a generic font.
