It is a nice review of a beautiful watch. It is always good to find out about an affordable GMT watch, It is a pity that it is so expensive inside EU to get things directly from Aliexpress, not just VAT but import dues aswell. Thank you for your review.

      Thanks for WATCHing.
It’s a shame about the extra taxes you guys have to pay.
We pay around 10% GST which is not too bad in these more affordable watches.

I have the Bliger version with old male link endlinks on bracelet but accurate homage to the Omega Seamaster Professional 300M GMT / 2535.80 apart from the handset being from the 2018 seamaster. Think mines only 30m water resistant if that as steams up wearing in cold weather. Apart from that it's faithful homage and looks the part on the wrist. Great video. 👍
I went for Bliger version as it had the correct bezel insert with first 15mins indication rather than the Phylida using the 2018 seamaster bezel insert.

Great review! If Phylida improves the lume and bracelet, this is going to be an unbelievably good option for the price.

    Hey James
Phylida have now updated and upgraded this watch. Better lume, slightly revised dial and the new NH34 GMT movement. Would be great if you could get your hands on the new one and review it.

Superb review James! I've got one of these as well, which I like to wear when watching Bond Movies featuring Pierce Brosnan. I also have the Phylida NTTD homage. Did you know that Phylida now have a new version of this GMT with an NH34 inside. According to the photos, the lume is much better as well. Overall, I reckon this is a jolly decent homage to a rather rare (now discontinued) Omega and jolly good bang for the bucks. I'm rather moved to "invest" in the newer version.

I just found out about the nh34 version. That makes this one next level good. And it is already amazing.

@@WATCHingJames indeed! Are you considering obtaining one? According to the photos the lume is much better and consistent. However I'm not 100% sure whether that is a true Lume Shot on their site. Hopefully it is...

I have one... Looks great, but the movement sucks... Work fine during the day but when fully wound and taken off for the night or I sleep with it on it always loses minutes and minutes by morning... But when worn, keeps good time

    • @WATCHingJames
      @WATCHingJames  2 года назад +1

Interesting to hear about your experience with the movement.
I have not had those issues but it certainly is not the best movement.
      Overall a nice watch.

Curious…..has your brother had to service his watch, and how much did that service cost. Doing some research for a future video.
I mentioned before I have a Phylida on my hit list, another seamaster homage though not gmt, but I really like gmt watches, and this one is a banger!
One thing I’m wanting to see now at the 3 o’clock date windows is no indice just a date window, the tiny indice just doesn’t look right and the fact they tried to lume this one is hilarious to me.
Speaking of lume they did a good job of the lume on this one and bezel sounds fantastic.
Really enjoying the videos James thanks for another great one!

Thanks mate. It’s a great watch.
Yes he had it serviced and it was a bit of a shock to him.
He wears it all day every day so needed a full service.
Cost him $800aud through omega in Australia.

The Omega Seamaster Professional 300M GMT / 2535.80 has got the mini lume at 3 o'clock so to be fair to Phylida they're accurate in that regard. All hour markers need to be lumed to fulfill iso regulations for diver watches hence Omega putting a tiny one there.

Quite surprised by this one, do they make a non-gmt version as I'm not the biggest fan of the extra hand. The quality looks really solid as does dial, lume seems solid as well. Nicely done mate

I got to this video because I'm looking around for reviews too, I just can't get over how the name sounds. Phylida, syphilis. Sounds like a disease or pharma company. Do I want to wear that on my wrist? Can't decide..looking at pagani and san martin's versions of the SM300 aswell. Phylida's clomage seems to be the best of the bunch, I wish they didn't have such a shite logo or brand name.

    • @WATCHingJames

I’ve heard people say the same. But it has not bothered me.
It sounds more like a men’s shaver brand to me.
There is a new version of this one with the Seiko NH34 movement. Making it even better.
