I bought my wife a 36 mm datejust, the 2021 model blue with fluted motif and it looks great. Bough it in rolex store as my first watch from this brand.
A good review of one specific Datejust 41, but it would have been nice if you talked about the other options available. The 41 comes in stainless, two-tone yellow gold, and two-tone rose gold. You can get this watch on an oyster bracelet instead of the jubilee. There are two choices of bezel, the fluted white gold as shown, as well as a smooth stainless one. It would have also been nice to see some of the other color options for the dial. Also, when you show a watch on a wrist, it would be helpful if you listed the size of the wrist, both circumference and width.
@@chelseamessiboy7 Where are you located? In Europe & US this has changed since beginning of the last year. From a few months straight to no waitlist spots available anymore lol
@@alexdetodt4971 in London, last year I asked for the Wimbledon on jubilee and they got it in within a month, I do believe what you are saying as the watch game has gone crazy!
@@chelseamessiboy7 Absolutely yeah! After all it still just depends on how many people want the same watch. If you are lucky and there are not many people waiting for longer or they get more delivered then expected, sure everything still is possible.
Any advice re: DJ 41 vs DJ 36 for a men’s 6.5 inch (16.5 cm) wrist? I am totally torn as to which size as each looks good…. Don’t want to have a watch that looks like a dinner plate on my wrist, but when I see other guys with similar wrist with the 41 it looks good…
After trying on both decided on the 36. The 41 wasn’t necessarily too big in terms of general watch size, but it was too big for a Datejust imo (if that makes sense). I also tried on the GMT Batgirl and loved it. So that’s my first choice, DJ 36 second choice. My real problem is with AD. No transparency and after a year, don’t feel like I’ve made any in-roads. I technically have purchase history with them (but was 10 years ago) but they tell me no wait lists, it’s more like a lottery-wth does that mean? (Probably means no Rolex for me). So I am about to give up on them and go to gray market. How about you?
Необходимо говорить что при фактическом измерении это не 41мм, а 39,5 мм. не кажется что синий циферблат и браслет устрица будет не слишком вызывающим но очень стильно и солидно
About 7 to 8 years ago,Milgauss,....OP.....Explorer.....or even Daytona are not very popular......but now they are hard to get at AD. Which means.....this Datejust 41 will definitely become popular and price will shoot up.....
Glad to see you are back doing reviews! I enjoy your format and look forward to your videos, Happy New Year 2022 is almost here!
Who would have ever though the Datejust would become a hype watch.

Excellent video, I own the blue diamond face 41 on the oyster bracelet, it sparkles in the sun

Was the Datejust the FIRST watch to have the date on it? Or was it the first wristwatch with the date on it? Or am I completely wrong?
It was perhaps the first automatic wristwatch with a date, but manual pocket watches had date and higher complications way before

What did you decide on? I’m in the same boat as you.

Beautiful watch. I just trade it in for a Submariner
Dj 41 just looks too big 36mm sits better on the wrist
No thanks
