AlexGidra It wouldn't be for his voice, I don't know who or why someone would use a condenser mic in that position for voices. And Paul has said in previous interviews that his hearing is dwindling.
is Paul wearing a hearing aid?? I see something on his ear at 0:25. I always knew his hearing was slowly going away but i think this is my first time seeing him wearing one
It is pretty surprising, if that's the case. I can't imagine he'd need one considering he seems to take pretty good care of his ears (one of the few to make really prominent use of isolating over-ear monitors and all). That said, I would assume they're wireless in-ear monitors.
Brian Gronemann - I mean I've always only ever seen him with the big-ass isolating headphones. I thought that was his thing for a while. I've never heard him say that in particular. My bad, I guess?
***** if you search for backstage interviews for his concerts & gigs, there are lots of videos that show Paul having difficult time hearing what interviewer is saying and they both have to speak really loud to exchange conversations. Paul has also done many interviews where he discusses his hearing loss & tinnitus. I think he started wearing those headphones after he learned how serious his condition was. This man is so talented !! I would hate to see him lose his hearing :(
lovable!
Thank you for the wonderful performance !
1:32 respect,paul gilbert 🤘
Jake, you are an inspiration for my daughter, hope she can play as great as you someday. She is getting there. Thanks for being that inspiration.
That ending tho, the way he let jake take it haha
Two very favorits jammin' 👍
Jake shimuabukuro, is wonder if your ukelele is soprano, concert, tenor or baritone
I think you should jam with FUNTWO that would be epic or maybe that's just me cannon would be steller
Who was the dingus that tried to mic Pauls guitar XD
i was thinking the same thing
Ever thinking about voice micing? I'm more interested in thing around Paul ear. Looks like he losing his hearing?

I'm pretty sure you right about mic's. Sometime I put mics for sort of ...equality, may be same situation here. Sad to hear about Paul.
AlexGidra He's fine, as long as he's got in ears he should be able to play for years to come.

Yeah, i would also like to know what's going on with that.
