Although the progress is slow am already impressed with this place
You can tell this place is going to be buzzing
Iishe haraka tukuwe tunaita Nairobi old town.
Slow but sure, umeona ajy hiyo landscaping 😅
The city got that European vibe.well organized.
Already looking beautiful city even though under construction
I'll end up moving there. Nimechoka na nairobi!
Twendeni 😂
Hope the whole issue of drainage is well put in place to avoid unprecedented flooding calamities being witnessed in Nairobi and Dubai
Let's go💪
Tunahamia konza lini... Am impatient nataka kuchukua spot poa yenye Iko karibu na KIST CAMPUS
Good job keep the progress constant. We believe in Kenya . We believe in our leadership to attain the goal .
Wow!! keep moving 👏👏
This is grear
Key infrastructure already in
Place
Why dont you guyz attract fab companies and provide them with incentives. I mean such companies are really looking to boost their supply chain networks and Kenya might be a new frontier. Also, why dont you guyz also attract elecric car companies in Kenya fromm China also, boost the local supply chain for such industies. I mean cong ia just here and can provide the necessary materials for manufacturing. Also where is Kaist? And lastly technology is all about innovation, finance and importantly supply chains.
Mr the lands are already booked 😂😂😂so we are right on track
There's no constant supply of raw materials enough to feed such industries in Kenya
I think this is already in the works though. They just haven't started building yet. It appears as if key infrastructures are complete but not yet. Thwake dam needs to be functioning in order to have more than adequate water resources.
5 things that FAB's need that Kenya doesn't have: skilled labor, water, electricity, good govt. policy, nearness to market.
@@Hill.3669 It's all about building the ecosystem my friend.
Eishhh na mumeimprove already mshajenga hizo hao zote
Very Slow but Sure,Africa as a Whole will be proud of it
Tunahamia konza city Lini bana???
Eee hata Mimi naulizia bana😂
Hivi karibuni.
Amazing
Good progress
I'm glad
Bado snaaa
Nairobi Mombasa Highway expansion will be key for Konza. There should be also another SEZ Along Mombasa Rd maybe about 100 miles away
leaders are thinking about looting not for the country. I love this country so much, i would build it to its best version if i was in charge.
Indeed one that makes semi conductors even if it's for home appliances and industrial machinery
There is Athi river Sez which has stalled for sometime, alafu kuna ingine also near athi river that was to be done by the chinese, konza itself is also an Sez
is there subways provision? does the infrastructure envision planning for rail roads? space for BRT systems?
So you think they could visualize all this , put up all that infrastructure but not consider public transport?
Wameweka lanes za BRT. Maybe they'll eventually have a light rail of some kind.
Nimekuwa nikiimba hii story ya subway wasee wanasema niko jaba. We should be more ambitious. Which smart city doesn’t have a subway?
@@hk254lyt8trams are okay.
Will it be called capital city of Kenya?
Are we sure the project will be complete by time 😢
doesnt matter now, at least we see progress every single time
I want to buy a home here
With the necessary infrastructure done , i bet the next face will be acclerated development
The roads look too narrow. A problem that's affecting Nairobi right now.
Konza is modeled as a pedestrian friendly city that's why you see large side walks and the logic behind it,is that the narrow roads are meant for brt alone unless otherwise.
@@griffinoyoo3945 I'm seeing a situation where those side walks will vanish when the city becomes fully occupied. If there was a provision for city trams, it would've made sense. But the design as it is is a huge blunder for the future.
Mjioange kabisa na drainage iksikuje kubebwa na mvuaa😅😅😅
Are they going to build an airport
It will be served by jkia
Nduthi na hawkers wataharibu hii base bana
Sidhani kaa watu wa nduthi watakubaliwa CBD
Too much talk, with little action, Konza should springboard to modern economy, electric cars, kaist, biotec companies should be up and running by now, to create high quality jobs for our youths, who are leaving the country to look for on elsewhere.
Yeah ,if only kenyans would allow a konza levy to be introduced to fast track this project
@@williamwatitwa3534 housing Levy iende uku buana , Nairobi is becoming more unlivable , Kisumu Iko mbali , next best thing we can have is konza
The project is sluggish........why can't the government just attract foreign investors for the the built massive skycrapers.......am sure inaisha 2090
We unadhani city ni skyscrapers?
Recheck the konza masterplan on their website, konza average height building ni 5 to 10 floors almost kama nakuru or windhoek namibia, hakuna skyscrapers, those images and animations of skyscrapers are a wrong depiction that were hastily released by some british town planning firm back in the day even before the full masterplan was finalised, it was a political mileage thing and the firm was just trying to win the contract, the full completed masterplan which came out a few years later is totally different, even the video on konza's youtube channel about the masterplan utaona ni short buildings and light industrial complexes with beautiful aesthetic designs, pitia pdf documents on town planning ya konza you'll see it's a different thin from those 2008 animations
6yrs still empty
Do you know all sewerage systems and road networks are complete? They're doing the foundation work..... cities are not built like mud huts in your village
@@AmazingMania damn who the fuuuuuck asked u
in smart cities some mega investments are actually put on a halt to allow for the completion of horizontal infrastructure so be patient
@@nelsonukaishajr nice conversation
Trust me, planning and implementing such a mega project takes time. Am actually impressed by the progress.
Ghost city
