How about Jasper DeKimmel from The Auction... Dorothy: Girls, girls, look. Self-portrait by Jasper DeKimmel. Rose: Dorothy, that picture has 3 noses. Jasper: Oh, I'm so glad that you find my self-portrait so interesting. Blanche: (surprised) You're him?! Jasper: (giggles) Yes. Rose: Gee, out of three noses why did you keep the biggest? Jasper: All the galleries make the same mistake, they've hung it upside down. (Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche then view the painting upside down) Rose: Oh, then those aren't noses (Dorothy glances back at Jasper and then rediverts her gaze to the painting) Dorothy: Woah! Blanche: Well, Mr. DeKimmel, I find your work absolutely riveting. Rose: Well, so do I, I-I'm just not sure I understand it. Jasper: No, of course you don't. If you had any real grasp of color you certainly wouldn't have worn those shoes with that dress. Blanche: Oh now just a minute here, Mr. DeKimmel. I see no reason to be insulting Rose or her shoes. (turns to Rose's heels) Oh my lord, look at those things. The pilgrims landed in nicer shoes. Jasper: Yes, do forgive me ladies my nerves get a bit jangled at these events. (inhales) Perhaps you would care to discuss one of my paintings? Dorothy: That would be lovely! Jasper: Good, good, now sh-shall we start here? Now, do you see how I echo Monet with my brushstrokes? Dorothy, Rose, & Blanche: Yes. Jasper: And do you see how I show darkness with single points of light? Dorothy, Rose, & Blanche: Yes. @@StayGoldenGirls , that is why I will always love when Dorothy rips him a new one.. and his wife getting upset at his callus treatment of her and making him sit there and take it just made it all the sweeter. RIP Bea Arthur.
I'm surprised Trudy was on this list. True, she said and did some pretty awful things to Dorothy, but Dorothy could dish it all right back, and when all the insults and pranks were traded, the two could laugh and hug it out. They had a rather fun dynamic, IMO.
@@StayGoldenGirls And yet, when said fake death happened, Dorothy almost immediately suspected what was really going on, and then just as quickly came up with a "topper." Which shows how well Dorothy knows Trudy, and how similarly the two of them think alike. The two of them pull wild, fantastical pranks on each other, not from a source of hate, but from weird, ill-guided love. Plus, consider how Blanche immediately pranked Dorothy when all was said and done: she pretended to be furious with Dorothy and made believe she was ending her friendship with her... only to come back in and say, "Gotcha."
The Dr. Budd episode really hit home with me. In 2007, my mother became ill, but no one believed her, saying she was faking it. Even the people at church said it too, so we left and went somewhere else; it was the beginnings of kidney disease, and she died on March 27, 2019. Everyone believed my sister when she said *she* was sick, though, and she's a "Munchie"! Ted- Wow! Dorothy really got him right where he "lived", didn't she?! LOL! I would have done the same thing!
I'm so very sorry to hear that about your mother and the experiences she had before her passing. That must have been so hard and not right she wasn't taken seriously

Nice list! One of the people who I like to hate on the show is Buddy, Charlie's wartime "pal", who tried to scam Rose out of money. I can't believe that he would use the good name of her husband to try to con money out of her!! Shame on him!
@@StayGoldenGirls Put Stan, Dorothy's ex husband on a future list. He can be pretty annoying sometimes and he also cheated on Dorothy numerous times throughout their marriage!
The actress that played Frieda claxton played quite a few characters on Golden girls. You should also remember her when she came to the house from Italy to claim that Dorothy was the real daughter and they were switched at birth in the hospital. The one that played Freda Claxton played the Mother.
I just recently discovered one of Dorothy's best comebacks, and it's from "The Golden Palace". She was arguing with Rose and Blanche, and Blanche said: "Oh, if I weren't a lady I'd deck you!" And Dorothy replied: "You try and I'll have you on your back so fast you'll think you're out on a date." And later Dorothy said to Blanche: "You know what your problem is? You're all talk and no action. Just like your sex life." Blanche: "What are you saying, are you saying that I'm not a tramp?! Then why do you think they call me the Female Ted Kennedy?" Dorothy: "Because you look like him."
David: *acts like a jerk* Sophia: “I’ll get the melon-baller” David: “kiss my attitude!” Sophia: _forget the damn melon-baller_ *SMACK* Everyone: *cheers*
Sometimes the villains on the golden girls are just as fun to quote as the main ladies! My whole family loves this show, and sometimes we jokingly say “this is so stupid” and “it’s their policy, not mine” in reference to Rex Huntington and Barbara Thorndyke.
If you include David, who ultimately changed his ways, you should also include Rose’s daughter, Kirsten. She was nasty with Rose about her inheritance and then, she tried to keep the girls from seeing Rose when she had the heart surgery.
Oh I loved it when Dorothy gave Dr Budd a piece of her mind cause he was acting like a complete jerk as a doctor you never want to make a patient feel like they crazy cuz something could potentially be wrong with them and they may need help and if you don't know the answer for their problem that's what research is for
I remember Blanche's - niece? The one who came for a job interview and then slept around was also annoying. The dude who died in Rose's bed while using her to cheat on his wife too.
I didn't think Blanche's niece Lucy was annoying or terrible; she was a young woman trying desperately hard to emulate the aunt she adored after an awkward childhood phase and Blanche quickly got her straightened out.
Happy 100th birthday Betty White, rest in peace. You will forever be my golden girlfriend. I will miss you so very much 😭but thankful to God that you existed and bring me so much laughter. 🤣💕🙏🕊️👸🌹
Ted meeting a stewardess doesn't make sense. If she is a stewardess, she's gone most of time and who watches her kids when she's away? Secondly, who in their right mind would leave their kids with a perfect stranger?
The Cheeseman and the McDowells are likely the most evil Golden Girls characters, since the Cheeseman very likely murdered a lot of people and the McDowells probably have a number of murders under their belts as well
Rose’s sister Holly was the one I couldn’t tolerate she reminded me of somebody whom would use n abuse my friendship then when they would be done with it they would turn against me thinking I’ve done it when I hadn’t in the first place. Also would deliberately leave me out of things too. Which really pissed me off.
Can't believe no one has mentioned Dorothy's snotty sister Gloria. I couldn't stand her and neither could Dorothy lol. First, she wanted to lure Sophia away to live with her in California, and then she had the nerve to sleep with Stan! Really disliked the character and the way Sophia made excuses for her.
@@StayGoldenGirls I couldn't stand STAN and GLORIA - Literally shocked they are not on the list. Rose's daughter should not be on the list. She was mad thinking her mother squandered what her father worked his career for . She was misinformed. Not abad person.
Dorothy should have ripped off Dr. Budd's obvious toupee in the restaurant like she did Stan's in the series' 2nd episode. The actor who played Rex Huntington passed away this year. The grown-up Daisy is now a popular folk-pop star. Bonnie Bartlett should have gotten a guest-shot Emmy for that performance; great character actress.

(Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche then view the painting upside down)
Rose: Oh, then those aren't noses
(Dorothy glances back at Jasper and then rediverts her gaze to the painting)
Dorothy: Woah!
Jasper: And do you see how I convey humor with my cycle of blues and greys?
Dorothy, Rose, & Blanche: Yes.
Jasper: You're idiots. The only humor here is my own...at your great stupidity! This picture no more echoes Monet than any of you echo a beauty queen! And you will waist no more of my time!
He will sure make a future list
I'd rather Dorothy roast them
I understand.
Sophia's comment - "I'll get the melon baller!" is one of my favorites 😂

All of them were totally fantastic but Dorothy somehow steals the moment every time. Great series and now all soo sadly missed. Rest in Peace each and everyone, your talent and legend lives on. Such a sad loss for the entertainment world and us, the public.
Thank you for sharing.
Freda Claksten is one of my favorite episodes.
Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieda!

Mine too! That episode is side splittingly HILARIOUS!
Frieda claxton
Oh i love that episode too!
"Dr. Budd" was the first time I ever wanted to punch a medical professional in the face. Sadly, there actually are doctors out there like him....
Heyo
@@StayGoldenGirls , that is why I will always love when Dorothy rips him a new one.. and his wife getting upset at his callus treatment of her and making him sit there and take it just made it all the sweeter. RIP Bea Arthur.

So good.
Well she will eventually end up there anyway.

I've been watching Murder She Wrote and all of these people (but Daisy) are on there playing the same character. I love it.

i cant believe people like the doctors and other professions of people on this list decide to take advantage of people because of their status
Hear that.
Maybe I don't HATE him, but Stan gets on my nerves!! Cheated on Dorothy but so demanding of her time throughout the series. Just seems so selfish.
Stan definitely can be annoying
At the end of the series, I wanted Dorothy and Stan to run off and get married when he was her limo driver.

ladies and gentlemen, the man in the blue suit at table four is impotent, bon apetite🤣🤣 by dorothy

@@StayGoldenGirls What he do?
He deserved that 🤣
I'm surprised Trudy was on this list. True, she said and did some pretty awful things to Dorothy, but Dorothy could dish it all right back, and when all the insults and pranks were traded, the two could laugh and hug it out. They had a rather fun dynamic, IMO.
Sure Dorothy said some things. She did not however pretend to die and let her friend believe she helped kill her. That's pretty terrible
@@StayGoldenGirls True. But Dorothy did pretend to sleep with said "dead" friend's husband in retaliation. I mean...
I hear that. I counter with. She wouldn't have done that action if not for fake death. One was only happening because of fake death
I hear what you are saying, I am still going to consider Trudy terrible- as the 'prank' other people thought she was legit dead too. A bit too far.
@@StayGoldenGirls Thanks, it's getting easier to cope with not having her with me. The people at my new church have been good to me and helping me.
I am glad to hear you are getting the support you deserve
I’m starting to lose faith in doctors because I had doctors who lacked compassion
No matter how many times I see the Freida Claxton scene with Rose's outburst, I laugh just as hard. RIP Betty White. You are loved and you will be missed. I'm glad you're back with Allen ❤
I hear yon that!!
When Blanche is shocked, her eyes get huge, and I can't help but crack up. This is my favourite show of all time. The extraordinary writing and perfect acting make you feel like you're right there, eating cheesecake with the girls. Thank you for posting this!
Love it
The Doctor said she wasn't sick because she could walk...what Med School did he go to?!!! Sick people walk every day...
I hear you on that.
Didn't Mrs Klaxton also play Gina's mother from Sicily in the episode where Dorothy and Gina were switched at birth?
Correct. The father from the same episode also played Tony, Sophia's boyfriend and Angela's new roommate in a later episode.
@@motherlove202 No that was not. That was actor Vito Scotti. Philomena and Dominic Bosco.
yesssss. A lot of actors had double charactors. Blanche's professor and her boyfriend that slept with Rose's sister is the same guy.
@@motherlove202 He played Gina's father and the old guy that wanted to redue their garage
Correct
What about the man and the nun who scammed Sophia and Blanche the alarm salesman or the plumber or the politician who lied to the media about Blanche? Would they count?
For sure we will add to a future list
I love when Daisy pulls out the water pistol loaded with red ink and puts it to the bears head hitting its eye.
Ha!
The look on Blanch's face at that point is simply priceless!
Barbara Thorndyke (the actress killed the role! She's excellent!) and Jeremy (the actress who plays the daughter is beautiful!) top the list.

She played Julius and Vincent’s mother in Twins with Danny de Vito and A.Schwarzenegger :))

I would swap david and Michael for the cheese man and buddy
@@alexandragreen7990 yesss....Michael wasn't that bad and David was a teen but Buddy was one of the worst.
Nice list! One of the people who I like to hate on the show is Buddy, Charlie's wartime "pal", who tried to scam Rose out of money. I can't believe that he would use the good name of her husband to try to con money out of her!! Shame on him!
For sure I am going to put him on a future list, totally agree!!!
Yes she was in two episodes.
They recycled several characters. Niles also played Ernie.
Nan Martin...another underrated character actress
The Dorothy and Rex showdown was 🔥
Indeed!
I love it when Mrs. Claxton called Blanche "The Human Slinky."

Kate was a better kid for sure.
You know it!
I just recently discovered one of Dorothy's best comebacks, and it's from "The Golden Palace". She was arguing with Rose and Blanche, and Blanche said:
"Oh, if I weren't a lady I'd deck you!"
And Dorothy replied: "You try and I'll have you on your back so fast you'll think you're out on a date."
And later Dorothy said to Blanche: "You know what your problem is? You're all talk and no action. Just like your sex life."
Blanche: "What are you saying, are you saying that I'm not a tramp?! Then why do you think they call me the Female Ted Kennedy?"
Dorothy: "Because you look like him."
;)
David: *acts like a jerk*
Sophia: “I’ll get the melon-baller”
David: “kiss my attitude!”
Sophia: _forget the damn melon-baller_
*SMACK*
Everyone: *cheers*

All of rose's relatives kind of suck. Her sister and her daughter and her youngest daughter too! Good lord poor thing
They sure do
Cousin Sven was legit though.
Charlie: I'm going Rose. I'm going
I never hated Michael and David needed a good slap... But To Hell with the Rest of Them!
That's fair.
Sophia slapping David across the face was amazing!
Mhm
Sometimes the villains on the golden girls are just as fun to quote as the main ladies! My whole family loves this show, and sometimes we jokingly say “this is so stupid” and “it’s their policy, not mine” in reference to Rex Huntington and Barbara Thorndyke.
I hear you on that.
If you include David, who ultimately changed his ways, you should also include Rose’s daughter, Kirsten. She was nasty with Rose about her inheritance and then, she tried to keep the girls from seeing Rose when she had the heart surgery.
We do have other lists.
Oh I loved it when Dorothy gave Dr Budd a piece of her mind cause he was acting like a complete jerk as a doctor you never want to make a patient feel like they crazy cuz something could potentially be wrong with them and they may need help and if you don't know the answer for their problem that's what research is for
It is an amazing scene
There's more than comedy in Golden Girls. I love how they cover everything .
:)
Me too....very good show.
Ooh I love this one! And I approve of Barbara Thorndyke (isn’t that the best name ever?) in the thumbnail!
It is a great name for her!!
I remember Blanche's - niece? The one who came for a job interview and then slept around was also annoying.
The dude who died in Rose's bed while using her to cheat on his wife too.
We will add them to the list for a future list for sure, thanks for sharing!
I didn't think Blanche's niece Lucy was annoying or terrible; she was a young woman trying desperately hard to emulate the aunt she adored after an awkward childhood phase and Blanche quickly got her straightened out.
I hear you on that.
Lucy and Al

Ted meeting a stewardess doesn't make sense. If she is a stewardess, she's gone most of time and who watches her kids when she's away? Secondly, who in their right mind would leave their kids with a perfect stranger?
👍
The Cheeseman and the McDowells are likely the most evil Golden Girls characters, since the Cheeseman very likely murdered a lot of people and the McDowells probably have a number of murders under their belts as well
I see what you are saying
jerry orbach gave glenn a sexy bad guy look. both were great but jerry was so .....sexy in his way
💜💜
You mean "Jeremy!" He was downright cruel to Rebecca, and Glenn was simply an adulterer!
I hear that.
Rex is lucky Rose didn't see him grab Dorothy, she would have put him in his place.
Mm
Can't believe no one has mentioned Dorothy's snotty sister Gloria. I couldn't stand her and neither could Dorothy lol. First, she wanted to lure Sophia away to live with her in California, and then she had the nerve to sleep with Stan! Really disliked the character and the way Sophia made excuses for her.
There will be future lists for sure that we include more terrible people, promise
@@StayGoldenGirls I couldn't stand STAN and GLORIA - Literally shocked they are not on the list. Rose's daughter should not be on the list. She was mad thinking her mother squandered what her father worked his career for . She was misinformed. Not abad person.
It's too bad that Sophia slapping David would be frowned upon today, and probably wouldn't even be a scene in a TV show nowadays.

the moment Rex grabbed Dorothy i just wanted to jump through the tv screen and just punch him in the face
Smash his face
Always loved how the dog told on Holly. 😂😭
Ha!
Yeah that was funny and also very believable because dogs often do that and other things like chewing on shoes.
🤣🤣
#4 i still wish I could punch Rex through the TV screen, whenever I watch that episode.
#5 And Barbara Thorndike was the first Karen, before Karen's became Karen.
I feel you there.
