One of the saddest most emotional scenes was the one where the girls decided they'd stick together no matter what. Then Rose asks..."What happens when there's only one of us left?" That tugs on my heart strings every time. It's as if she somehow knew she would be the last remaining Golden Girl. RIP Betty White! You always will be America's Golden Girl!!!
❣️❣️🫂
My heart breaks with that line 💔
And then she was right! Those words she said was a curse.
She was the youngest, right? So makes sense
That scene gets me every time too - literally cry. Who knew Betty would be the last one and if you look at the scene, it shows the order they passed - Estelle, Bea, Rue and now our beloved Betty. I hope and pray they reunited in heaven eating cheesecake.
Betty White died knowing the world loved her.
That's so true 🙂
A rare bird ❤
Mhm
And on our birthdays, we'll get the rose
the scene when she’s in her St Olaf kitchen on her birthday talking to Charlie’s spirit makes me bawl every time. you can tell how emotional that scene was for her…she wasn’t talking to Charlie, she was talking to her beloved Allen….i can’t handle when her voice cracks and her lip quivers
💜🫂
Best scene in the entire series.
That's how I always felt, she was channeling her love and heartbreak from missing Allen so much
@@heatherr0420 me too. this and her performance in the lost valentine is absolutely gut-wrenching to watch.
@@PrincessTreasure yes indeed it is
"What happens when there's only one of us left?"
Betty was the last Golden Girl, that line hit right to the heart.
🌹🌹🫂
I never paused a video that fast in my life. Soon as she said that, I paused and froze for a good few moments.
That line hurt more than I expected it to 😢
Exactly! She was the only one left, for 10 years!
Was waiting for that line didn’t expect to tear up r.I.p Betty White
If you watch the full scene they’re all sitting in the order in which they’d end up dying. Sophia (Estelle) is on the far left chair, Dorothy (Bea) is on the left end of the couch, Blanche (Rue) is in the middle of the couch, and Rose (Betty) is on the right end of the couch.
“I get the rose” makes me cry every single time
That gets to me too 😥
Me too
Me three!
🫂❣️
I can’t watch that scene again. I cried my eyes out when I saw that scene the first. And to learn that the scene was a tribute to her real life deceased husband! It’s too sad for me to watch.
Dude, when Rose swipes back her bear Fernando and shoves that bratty kid out the door saying "sometimes life just isn't fair kiddo" I was done for! 🤣🤣
👍👍
RIP Betty White. I'd like to think that when she got up to heaven, she said "Is this Heaven"? and Bea Arthur replies "No, Rose, it's Hell with better lighting". Great tribute.
Hahah
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I needed that, thank you🧡
I read that in their voices.
And then Uncle Johanssen said "Wose. Is that you, Wose?"
I'm so sad she's gone, but what an amazing life and career she had. RIP Rose. 🥀
🫂🫂
Rich, you spoke so well for all of us. Rest well in God Betty.
@@denicesanders4586 ☺
She was never without a job
As the fellas used to say, “she’s my favorite girl”
Well, Betty White was America’s favorite girl
I think the best way we can do to honor her memory is to laugh and be kind to each other and to animals. Truly a life well lived.
💗💓
"What happens when there is only one of us left?" hits differently now. 🥺
🌹🌹
😭
That scene gives me chills as Betty White ended up being the last surviving Golden Girl.
Maybe they really all are back together now. You never know. I sure hope so.
I really don't know how Betty kept a straight face while telling the Great Herring War story when both Rue and Bea cracked up completely. That scene completely cracks me up every time I watch it.
Just goes to show what an amazing actress she was! That has to be one of my favourite scenes in the show, haha
@@dreadwolf98 True.
🌹😜😻❤️
“I get the rose” is heart wrenching, but “only one” takes the cheesecake in light of Betty White’s passing.
🌹🌹
i just cried for the "only one", it was real, she was the only one left, Golden Girls was and is a really big part of my life, it saved me, this three lady where always for me, I hope more people watch it and enjoy it
Yeah that one got me because she was the only one for so long
Whomever wrote the St. Olaf stories deserve an award!!! Betty's delivery is so spot on hilarious in all the scenes. Rose has an unknowing innocence with a heart of Gold & is truly funny. I don't know how she didn't break character laughing herself.🤣
💕💕💗
Based on the old “Shalom-a-lakum” stories (sorry for the misspelling).
Apparently a few of them were improvised, at least a little. Like the one about the great herring war when Bea and Rue lost it
I just wrote the same comment as the 1st part of yours! Truly, they were brilliant!
The precursor to Alexis's stories on Schitt's Creek. Love Golden Girls.
Four comedy legends of the Golden age of Hollywood! They r dying off fast. You will not see this type of comedy again. What great memories love them all. I loved the Spanish Fly conversation with Betty and Bea. Betty is finally with her beloved Allen. Thanks for the memories!! They will always be Golden
❤️
God she was so damn funny. The "Herring War" clip just broke me, no one could have delivered that the way Betty White did.
🫂🫂🌹
Judging by the scene, Rue and Bea also broke considerably.
I can't remember where I read it but she started to ad lib this scene which is why Bea and Rue kept cracking up and they kept. Hope it's really true cause that cracked me up also.
@@atanaskirov8137 Yeah, I think that was real... no acting for them .. Rue lost it!!! :)😄
@@spinpup I believe it especially that “into a tree” line. Betty saw Rue was on the ropes and went for the KO 😂
To woman who was older than slice bread, thank you for the laughter and smiles.
💗💗🌹
The Herring War story cracks me up every time. Especially if you watch Bea's face and see her begin to break character. And Betty delivers the story so well that Bea and Rue just burst with uncontainable laughter. RIP to these legends, and RIP to long-lived Betty White❤
🫂💕
I've heard different things about the stories, that sometimes Betty would ad-lib parts of them, that sometimes the writers would just leave a gap in the script for her to improvise and that although the whole story was scripted, only the start was rehearsed leaving Bea and Rue in the dark about the most insane parts.
When she asks "what happens when there's only one of us left?" and they're sitting in the exact order in which they all passed. yeah that gets me every time. What tremendous ladies and Betty, sweet dear Betty, the world will never know another like her...may she forever rest in heavenly peace
It's eerie for sure
@@StayGoldenGirls You could say that it's eerie or it could be an indication that nothing is coincidence and there is more to life than this life, which in itself is a comfort.
@@happyhands117 Never truer words!
I never noticed that🥀
I don't really cry for very many celebrities deaths, but... I really broke down for Betty. I truly believed that she would AT LEAST make it to be 100. It feels like I lost my great-grandmother.
🫂
If u count time in the womb, she made it to 100. : )
The timing of Betty was sensational. All said with such a straight face.
💗
I love that there weren't any laughs during her birthday. It touches deeply with me because of the death of her husband in real life and it makes me think this is what it was like before she finally joined him in the afterlife. And it warms my heart to imagine that and the fact that no one laughed during the scene.
❤️❤️❤️
Bea and Rue's reaction when Bea asked if they ever shot a herring out of a cannon. So excellent.
💜💜
These 4 women complimented each other in this show. We were blessed to experience their talents and success
💗
Just found these Golden Girl clips. I’d almost forgotten how much I loved the show. I lay in bed last night watching on my iPad & laughed & laughed. They all made us see how each one no matter their different characters ,their friendship was strong.
Thank you for sharing!
"It's my birthday. You know the rules. I get the ROSE." -> The way Betty delivered this line was so ... PERFECT. It perfectly conveyed how SAD her character was because of her husband's death, how AFRAID her character must have been as she was moving away and how CRUEL it is that she had to mask all her feelings as if her husband was still there. My God Miss Betty White, you will truly be missed.
💜💜💓
My favorite moment is when Rose gently rejected Jean.
"You only said what you were feeling."
"I have to admit I don't understand these kinds of feelings. But if I did understand and if I were like you, I think I'd be very flattered and proud that you thought of me that way."
💜💜
It was that storyline that helped with my crush during the fall, and thankfully he was just as sweet as Rose.
The whole nation is in tears let's raise a glass to her to laughter, love and happiness throughout the years. "Thank you for being a friend"
❣️💓💗
I just did! Wish I could have had her as a friend l..in real life. We share a common interest in animal welfare.
I lost it at "the only one left" clip.. 👑😭
🫂🫂
Always such a joy to watch….I am 74 and have been watching her since I was 5 or 6 and I will miss her along with my Mom and my oldest son until I take my last breath. Rest In Peace, Betty and Allen.
💕💕💗❣️🌟
That "Great Herring War" story gets me everytime. Bea and Rue's reactions are hilarious!
😻😂💕
oh yes! i think it's my favorite... genuinely funny 😂
She is an icon. What an amazing life she had. May she Rest In Peace.
💜
"What happens when there's only one of us left?" Gets me everytime 💔
❤️❤️❤️
May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
🌹🌹
Betty is immortal. Shes just not physically here, thats all. Shes still watching over us with the other girls.
🌹🌹
Rest in Peace, Betty. You will be missed!
💓💓
Happy Heavenly Birthday Ms. White I hope you and Mr. Ludden are having a great time.❤🌹⚘
❤️
She will always be our Rose
🌹🌹
What a truly wonderful tribute to an amazing lady. She will certainly be missed.
🫂🫂
She was a class act. Betty will always be a Golden Girl ❤️
❤️
Whenever they told a joke, I love the complete silence they used before talking again. Just makes it more funny. And also it was taped in front of a live audience. What a timeless show. I just wish that this was a big dream and that betty will just be up and about on the 17th. I found out she got cremated.
💗❤️
Rose being the one to say "what happens when there's only one of us left?" Is especially poignant these days as she WAS the only one left. She was the last one to pass on
I agree
I had a hard time with the scene where Rose talks to her late husband on her birthday. Happy Birthday, Betty White. RIP 💔
💖💖🌹
It’s a travesty when someone dies and that too, so close to one’s 100th Birthday, but as Betty’s mom would put it: “Now she knows the secret.”
😭😭🌹💗
15:37-15:52 whoever is in grief or has grieved in their lives for the loss of a loved one feel that scene in their bones. I personally cry every time.
The smile through the tears, the braving through the cutting of the cake with difficulty, the expressions, the trembling voice: she should have won awards for that heart pulling scene.
Rest in Peace you beautiful human being.
❤️❤️
"I get the rose" hits so hard for me. I know my partner won't live as long as I will. I can't imagine how badly losing him will be. Thinking about any life without him scares me.
Oh that’s so sad. I think mine will outlive me.. his family passed when they were in their 80-90s but my parents passed young in their early 70s 😔
I'm sorry you feel that
Just enjoy the time you time you have with him. Remember that, whatever happens, you will handle it. ❤️
My husband of 55 years has been ill off and on for 3 years so I understand!
“Hypersexual b*tch” gets me every time 😂
😂😂
RIP to a legend
💗💗💕🫂
What an actress, what a soul, what a fabulous human being. Betty, thank you so much for your beautiful life.
💓💓💜
I never tire of the Golden Girls. Thank you for this compilation.
Glad you enjoyed
*Golden Girls Forever!*
💗💗
"I don't even understand who Ander Bobo is!" 😂🤣
😻😻
Neither do I
I think the best part is Rose Nylund just delivers a cool line without hesitation 😂
💗🌹
Betty never lost face when all the rest of them cracked up at their own jokes, what a trooper
she was, she was just as serious as could be and played her part well! We miss you so much
Betty, RIP lovely lady !
💗
Betty White was in a TV move, I believe, where she portrayed an elderly woman bringing her husband's body for burial. He was in the military. Her scene was so heartbreaking. She caressed the casket and cried while delivering her emotional lines. She truly was an extraordinary actress and woman.
👍
Tv movie: The Lost Valentine (2011)
That was the only Hallmark movie I've seen in 25 years. I watched it just because Betty was in it. I don't cry easily, but the scene when she walked up to her husband's coffin had me bawling.
That was a good movie!
We Love you Betty your forever in our hearts. ✨✅✨Your Awesome!
🫂💗💜
I am endlessly grateful for her existence in my timeline. I used to watch the Golden Girls with my mother, on MeTV, snuggling together. She gave me strength and a means to bond. My dad loved her, too.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is,
Thank you, Betty. Your life, your contributions, your kindness, and your glow gave us all an understanding of what humanity is supposed to look like. We will love you forever. I'm hoping you've reunited with your beloved Alan, and Stay Golden, girl! ✨♥️✨
I could not agree more! 😊

"What happens when there's only one left?"
That's when I lost it...😥Thank you for being our friend, Betty White ❤
🌹🫂
This is truly an end of an era. Betty was one of a kind in every sense. She brought my family and I together regularly since I was an itty bitty. The countless smiles she put on countless faces across the world till the very end. She really made a difference. So many of us literally grew up with her as a welcomed and loving fixture in our households. My heart is shattered over the loss of this wonderful human being. I'll be forever grateful for the joy she brought along and the lasting impact she has made. She will forever live on in the hearts of those who love and adore her.
I'm going to miss you, Betty. So much. Thank you for being a friend. 💛💝🫂
🫂❣️
My heart is still aching from her passing away! RIP
🌹🫂
Mine too
Definitely my number 1 favorite Golden Girl. I wanted her to see her 100 birthday this January 17 th. I am still crying over her death. She will be missed but never forgotten.
🌹🫂
I love the one where she gives Jake away because it’s the best thing for the man with his loss, even though she loves Jake. She truly had the greatest heart of any of them.
Mmm
Betty White's "Rose" character was epic! Even my daughter, who's 14, loves her! She really left a mark in the lives of everyone who saw this show! ♥️🥰
💜
That's adorable.
"But what happens when there's only one of us left?" Chills! I always would remember this scene when thinking about how Betty White was the only one left of the 4.
❤️❤️
I am so upset that all the Girls are no longer with us. 💔 I love them all and want to go back to those days again. The Golden Days..
💕💕
Betty was a treasure and an inspiration to me and so many others. Losing such a priceless gem of a person, I'm comforted only by the thought that she's finally at Allen's side once more and they'll never be parted again. RIP Betty and thank you for being a friend. 🌹💗
😍🌹🫂🌹
Of all the characters to say "What happens when there's only one of us left"
❣️
Betty White was such a gem and such a beautiful woman. I watched Golden Girls everyday with my grandmother when I was a child, and Rose was always my favorite. But I loved all of them. I miss you Rose. Such a wonderful woman.
🌹🌹
3:21
You can tell that was genuine laughter so that goes to show they had fun filming The Golden Girls RIP Betty if there is some kind of afterlife maybe now there all reunited and that’s what Betty would have wanted she always said to look at the positive in life
😂
Today, she gets her rose. The birthday scene made me stop what I was doing. Ended up curling in my bed and quietly cried during the whole scene.
🌹🌹🌹
Did anyone else tear up at number 13? That's a really strong question to ask a number 15 and the fact that rose was the one that asked the question because she (irl) was the last 1 it's pretty powerful.
🫂🫂
I started watching the series over the internet 3 years ago, and been watching it almost every night for a feel good time. Rose has fulfilled her line "What is there's only one of us left?". and now, none of them left, but the memory of an outstanding show shall lives on.
💓❤️
I'm old so I've watched it from the beginning!!!
I've also gone through 3 sets of DVD's!!!
We will always miss you Betty White…Now you are reunited with your one true love ❤️
❤️💜🌹
*Never tought it will hurt trying to watch the series after she s gone ...i felt deeply sad , she brought joy to the world and after she s gone nothing is the same anymore*
🫂🫂🫂
So sadly missed. I’ve watched all the boxed sets again and again. RIP ‘Rose’.
👍
I knew number 13 and number 15 would be tough ones to watch.... Bravo dear Betty White
💗💗
@@StayGoldenGirls 💗💗
These four women together on a set was simply magical. The chemistry is obvious, they own their characters and know exactly how they react to every line. Notice that they all stay in character when they are silent.

She was one of the greatest of all times she will be missed rest in peace Betty White

This had me crying of sadness and laughing of happiness at the same time. 😂😭 I miss her. R.I.P sweetheart! ❤️
💗💗
That Monologue with the Cake. Such brilliant acting!

I think Betty would have been thinking of losing her beloved husband Alan. It was a very emotional scene and rang so true.
Genius writting , Genius performing
😭🥰
❤️
May her soul rest in peace. We will miss her.

In scene 4 Bea Arthur e Rue loses their composure and Betty keep telling the story like a champ, just a fact in a interview Betty said that in stage Bea almost never got out of the character, well not not that day darlings... And again Last cake (I get the Rose) got me crying again... She was the last one, I'm crying a lot now....

"I get the rose" always makes me cry. I can't handle the thought of losing those im that close to, it always hurts.

Thanks for making a video for those of us who aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to their TV grandma. 😭 At least she’s with her husband Allen again.
💕🌹🫂
Hello Courtney and crew!
Aside from the news of Betty White’s passing, has been a real difficulty.
Jody Hamilton, Carol Burnett’s daughter helped me with the passing on Twitter. Reminisced about her. Also seeing her on In the Actor’s Studio, when asked if heaven exists what do you want God to say when arriving at the pearly gates, she replied “Come on in Betty, here’s Allen.” Her memory will live on.
Great video!
Oh that is a really lovely one Inside the Actors studio. Twitter I have found has had a lot of people sharing and support one name other on there,I think it's been useful. It is a hard loss and unexpected and lot of emotional stuff
"Magenta". Blance's word to describe all types of feelings she is feeling.
When I used to watch the "Only One" part when Betty White was still alive, I used to think she really did become the only one left.
Now she is also gone.:'(
🌹🫂
I was waiting for you to post this video. The absolute radio silence from this channel in the wake of her passing genuinely scared me
We did a community post people have been sharing, and I responded to every comment, we did a video last week and one today. I don't think that's radio silence.
@@StayGoldenGirls my mistake there are times where I don’t get notifications from specific RUclipsrs
Well glad we popped up again for you.
I can guarantee that the Herring war skit was the greatest character break
🌹🌹🌹
She’s finally together with Dorothy, Blanche and Sophia! Heaven help them she’ll drive them crazy!
🫂🌹
She is also finally with her beloved Allen, and I am sure they celebrated her birthday and a joyous Valentine's Day together. RIP ALLEN AND BETTY ❤️❤️
Always funny and will be forevermore, RIP Betty may you be laughing wherever you are.
🌹🌹🌹
I couldn’t believe it when I first head the news. Even in her advanced age. She had a good and fulfilled life. Betty White knew she was admired by so many of us who grew up with her. Even in our 20’ or 30’s. Betty , Bea, Estelle and Rue , will always pick me up when i’m feeling sad. Let’s not forget one the writers behind them like Suzanne Harris.
💕🌹🌹🫂
I was binge watching the Golden Girls when I decided to change the tab, and then BAM there it was, the news she passed away on the Dailymail... it was so weird...
🫂🫂
'I get the rose' always breaks me 😭😭😭
🫂🫂🫂
99 years is just amazing!!
🌹🌹
Even though The Golden Palace didn't have the same success as The Golden Girls, there are a couple Rose moments that were my ultimate favorites from the whole franchise. Like Rose hitting Dorothy on the head with a newspaper, Rose threatened to expose the con artist who was using Blanche, and Rose gets back at Sophia by pulling a practical joke on her with a famous team of entertainers.
👍
18:53 "What happens when there's only one of us left?" Well she moved on and gave us eleven more years of golden girl happiness. Even after loosing all her beloved friends "Sophia" 2008, "Dorothy" 2009 and "Blanche" 2010, she kept on giving us that golden girl spirit of refusing to be put aside and kept on giving us joy and laughter, an extraordinary career for an extraordinary lady.
🫂🫂💗
I am sad. Because she was the surviving cast member of 2 of my favorite shows. Mary Tyler Moore and the Golden Girls. All of the good sit com entertainers are gone.😪
💜💜💓🫂
I loved that show and sweet Miss Betty! Rip, you well loved, and now you’re in the arms of your one and only!

Loved her since childhood❤️
