I miss the golden girls
I hear you on that.
Thankfully we still have the adorable Betty White with us 😊
I miss the girls and Leslie Nelson
@Nicole Ready no. What would be the point to replace when you can get the originals, many access to them and anytime, till infinity . no point.
@Nicole Ready IF there was, I would pray that it would fail. Many of these beloved shows are not only due so because of the excellent storylines and general theme BUT, because of the excellence of the actors who were perfectly cast. I cannot imagine another actress playing Sophia Petrillo since Estelle's natural performance was superb. Actually, everyone became her character so WHY would there be a need for another show like this?
I actually met Burt Reynolds at a club in Tucson, AZ called Chances. But I thought it was just a guy who looked like him. We kept saying 'Look at him thinking he's so cool because he looks like Burt'. As I past buy him I murmured 'Goodnight Burt', he replied 'Goodnight sweetheart have a great rest of your evening'. I rolled my eyes. Turned out it was Burt, he was shooting a film in Old Tucson and drowning his sorrows of his recent breakup with Sally Field. 1979-1980ish
Oh my gosh I love this story. Thank you so much for sharing!
Lucky you!!!
Awww poor guy
I'm so HAPPY that Debbie Reynolds is on the list. I love her
She is classic
May she rest in peace
This show was the absolute Best. I never get tired of watching those four amazing women. I still laugh as if I were watching it for the first time. They had the best writers.
What's your favorite episode?
Seeing BURT brings back memories of just what a GOODLOOKING MAN he was & how CHARMING he was!! And DEBBIE was FANTASTIC in Everything she ever did!! ALL of these GUESTS were PERFECT.
💜💜💜
The Burt Reynolds Moment from this show is all time favorite.🤓
So great
@@jedigrandvelle8844 Who's the s*ut? I am! 🤣
Betty White's face when she asked, "Passed what?" LOL
:)
@@rinor28 She played Rose perfectly.
"Sonny Bono get off my lanai!"
😂😂😂😂
Rip sonny
I LOVE when dorothy had to cover her moms mouth to avoid a sassy sophia hahahaha GREAT VIDEO and when rose rips that bear outta that little brats hands hahahha ah.....love this video
i am like that. always have been although i mellowed a bit. my father used to say' ifyou cant say anything nice dont say anything at all. even now , i say things infront of my grandnephews and my sister will caution me I dont say vulgar things just what is my opinion. My sister said i have to be careful when i am infront of little children. ha ha
For me is when Sophia says something that Dorothy doesn't like and she yells:Shady pinessssss Maaaaa!.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I think I crossed that line when I got a date!"
"There's a liquor store on the corner!" LOL!!!!
:)
Blanche the hussy cozying up to Bob Hope, priceless.
And gross. Lol old Bob Hope ,
I still watch the Golden Girls on the Hallmark channel. Miss these wonderful ladies. Bless you Betty White. 💗
RIP Debbie Reynolds, Mickey Rooney, Burt Reynolds! 3 great ones!
Absolutely.
Gerald Warren and “the fancy man” from the pilot and Herb Edelman (Stan) and the guy who played Myles.
Leslie Nielsen
A lot of great actors gone!
It's no wonder that all of these stars wanted to be on this show. Such high quality. Wonderful 💘
Agreed
Rest in Peace,Debbie Reynolds.
For real.
And Carrie Fisher the day before.😞
I know she passed before Debbie.
And Burt Reynolds too.
So depressing, yes.
LOVE LOVE MY GOLDEN GIRLS 👍🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
RIP TO MY LADIES AND LONG LIVE “BETTY WHITE”👍🏽
Betty White in quotations...?
Did they passed away ??
Betty White is the only remaining golden girl still alive.
Sandra Jovic, is it not her real name? The quotation marks confuse me too.
So True...love them All!!!!!
Sometimes when you watch comedy shows from years ago they no longer make you laugh like they did when they was originally on, but with the Golden Girls it's different it's just as funny now as it was back in the 80s and 90s.
I hear you on that.
They are eternal! Watched them twenty years Ago and keep watching them! They are gorgeous ❤
Teachers should use that excuse, “because I had to learn how to teach it”
Ha
I used to tape this every Saturday night and watched it all day on Sunday. And still love them as always good example of women being friends and allies.
mHm!
beautifully written and cast................we will never see another show like it.....
I feel you on that.
Sheeza Mann , Hot in Cleveland was very good too!
Debbie Reynolds "My husband passed just last summer"
Dorothy: "Oh..."
Rose: "passed what?"
Dorothy: "A slow moving winnebago"
One of my favourite scenes of Rose being utterly naive and clueless LOL!
:)
Isnt that George Clooney at 3:03? Wow but he is young!!!! 💖
George was super young when he did GG
Young...and Hung 😲👀👅👍...
Check out "Return of the Killer Tomatoes" (1988) if you can find it. That was always one of my favorite movies with him (up until "O Brother, Where Art Thou?") =)
George Clooney also started in The Facts of Life and Roseanne in his younger days.
In another episode, a very attractive young aerobics instructor asks Blanche out, and then she's very upset to find out that he sees her as a stand-in for his mother. In this one, the young Clooney character reminds her of her son - she doesn't seem tempted to make a romantic-type move on him.
This show was and still is amazing !
I'm lucky I have the entire Complete season. I can watch and enjoy every single moment from the very beginning. I love it!!! 😄😄😄👍👍👍👍
Nice!!!
Same here.
@Nicole Ready 😂🤣😂🤣
Umm... y'all know it's all available online right? Free...
Debbie Reynolds was on my bucket list, what an amazing lady.
Def an amazing lady
Debbie Reynolds was outstanding in that episode.
Truby!!!
All legends
Indeed.
Omg. So many have passed away now. Betty is the only one left..but so many others like Leslie & Burt & Sonny & Jerry & Mickey & Ceaser & Alice & Jeanne. Wow. I'm old.
I hear you on that.
You mean our vintage is becoming more rich… lol
Nice to see some of our favorite guest stars to get their moment in the spotlight too! They can be just as memorable as the girls.
Disagree
One thing I remember from the Julio Inglesias scene, if you listen carefully you can hear people behind the camera taking pictures of him and Estelle. Another little fun fact, Jerry Orbach was good friends with Richard Mulligan who later starred in Empty Nest. Great video!
Thank you for sharing!
I had to listen carefully, You're right!
Golden Girls is one of those feel good shows that can have lasting effects on several generations. It ended almost 30 years ago and still they have a large fanbase. And betty white at 99 has seen almost 30 years after this show godbless her
;) Totally agree, such a lasting presence
i believe we all said “I AM!”
I am.
Oh, Alex Trebeck and his mustache! And young and cute Mario Lopez (and his dimples!)
Alex!!!!
@@StayGoldenGirls Blanche was "into" him - even though she really wasn't into Jeopardy as a show. And you know what - I think Alex looks better today than he did then.
Mario looked cute and with those dimples!🥰
RIP Burt Reynolds.
I loved him in ADGTH. He really gave Charlie an iconic voice. Same for Dom DeLuis with Itchy.
🧡
ADGTH????
I didn't catch Quentin Tarantino as one of the Elvises unitil about my fifth viewing of the episode. He has come a long way.
What episode
With Elvis??
Was it Sophia wedding
You can’t REALLY tell it’s him until the very end of the episode when all the Elvises stand up; once they do, it’s so obviously Quentin Tarantino.
@@mitchellgang120 I didn't realize it was him, either.
I love Leslie Neilson
Absolutely
A good portrait subject for me.
The Great Ruby Dee
Yes!
Period!!
Mickey Rooney: "Right suit, right haircut--you could pass for Frank Nitti." LMAO
Also loved Burt--what a cutie!
He really was right!!
Mickey Rooney...Yes Mrs. Cleaver!
Put out the stogie
Leslie Nielsen 🤣😂 my favourite always 😂 with care stay golden 💖✨ thanks buddy 😃
Ok saved by the bell dude might be wrong?🍀😀
Mario?
Stay Golden 🤣😂🤣😂yep that’s the dude cheers that was bugging me😁
Wow! George Clooney and Mario Lopez were so young back then. How time flies.
Mhm!
George Clooney was SO YOUNG wow! :o
So good looking! And live dick van Duke.
For real!
Mhm!
I love The Golden Girls 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Us too!
I kept thinking, "They're not going to include Cesar Romero...They're not going to include Cesar Romero..."
Thank you! I love it when he walks in to applause!
Jerry Orbach and Bea Arthur were my absolute favorite performers. It was a delight seeing them together!
I was very sad to see Jerry be a one time guest star in that episode. Granted Glen was a two parter, but I felt he and Bea had wonderful chemistry and a lot of potential.
@@StayGoldenGirls They didn't include Bonnie Bartlett as the snobby author Barbara. She may not have been one of the bigger-name guest stars, but I had seen her as Tim Taylor's mom before I saw her as Barbara.
Wow, I forgot about the long list of Celebrities who appeared on this show. Debbie Reynolds, Bob Hope, George Clooney, Burt Reynolds, Rita Moreno, Mario Lopez, Ruby Dee, Julio Iglesias, Mickey Rooney and more....
And we can still do another 22!
Dorothy wears clothes very similar to my late mom. I love Dorothy ! Funny as hell!! 😆
Love it
Don Ameche played Rose's father in a hospital in one episode, another big name star to appear in GG. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching!
Reason 42 why I love The Golden Girls
This was hilarious! It was so good to see all these stars especially George Clooney, Jerry Ohrbach, Debbie Reynolds, Burt Reynolds, Micky Rooney, Cesar Romero, and Lindsey Lohan (?)! Thank you!!
It is nice to see them too! I agree.
Lindsey lohan? You high?
Lindsey Loham? No way.
Don't forget Sonny Bono
That's actually Jenny Lewis, not Lindsey Lohan
Don Ameche played Rose's father.
Christina Lee wonder why they didn’t choose him
Christina Lee amazing how both Don Ameche and Bob Hope Played Roses’ father on different episodes.
'Boy, you have been gone a long time!'
The best show ever!!
I am on board with you!
Thanks for including Monte Markham in your video. People nowadays have sort of forgotten him, but if you grew up in the 1970-1980s, you saw him guest starring all over television on nearly 100 different programs. I believe he's still alive, but retired from acting. Thanks, Monte!!.
Thanks for sharing!!
Rocco telling Dorothy that she could pass for Frank Nitty....made me....LOL!!
Glad it was a good one for you!
Wow! I missed a lot of these guest shots when they first aired!
Yay for the memory refresh!
Sophia never held back .....😂😂😂 .
Nope. Never
That was funny when Dorothy covered her mouth when Monte Markham said bend over backwards
Thank you X 1000000 times! I love the Girls! 💝❤❤✌
Glad you enjoy!
They are all together in heaven now.
Mhm
Aaahhh Burt...he was just...REALLY something...Wow!
He was a charmer.
Oh. That was Dick van Dyke dressed up as a clown!!!😂🤣😂
Indeed!
I have always laughed that in the Empty Nest episode Dorothy says Nightmare 4 stands alone, when it is arguably the one in the franchise that depends the most of the audience seeing the previous film lol
I hear you
How can you left out everyone's favourite snob Barbara Thorndyke
Because I do hate her so.
Great writing and acting. Glad they are still on TV.
;)
Thank you GOD for Hulu, I can watch my show whenever I want ❤🙌🏽
Indeed
Great clips! You left out Don Ameche, Inga Swenson, Polly Holiday, Lyle Waggoner, Sheree North, and Joseph Campanella. They are more famous than the little red haired girl or Blanche's niece.
No one said there can't be more lists
JoAnn Baca ...And Alex Rocco ,who played a School teacher ,and he and Dorothy had an affair , but he refused to leave his wife !..
@@kathywollam32: In a later episode, Jerry Orabach(sp), was cast as the character originally portrayed by Alex Rocco.
The red haired girl is now a singer
George Clooney from To Catch A Neighbor is my personal favorite. I also love Inga Swenson from Little Sister.
Oh interesting! Thank you for sharing.
8 Bob Hope. 10 Sonny so cool 11 all the Elvis impersonators love it
Yesssss
Fabulous! So entertaining!
Gotta share the love with other actors
They had Lyle Wagonner in that episode where george was faking his death (same episode with Sony Bono)
And also Alisan Porter as Blanche's granddaughter (Alisan was playing in the movie Curly Sue and also the winner of The Voice season 10)
Yes indeed.
@@StayGoldenGirls Interesting they never followed up on the George coming back and the Dorothy possibly being swapped at birth. Two family stories they created...then dropped!
NicoleM2108 George coming back was a dream. The did solve that at the end of the episode.
But you’re right, they never settled Dorothy’s birth parent story. On another episode, they showed Dorothy’s maternal grandmother (with Sophia out of old makeup, and that wonderful actress that played a spot on young Bea Arthur), and she was Dorothy in old makeup and a wheelchair. So I always took it to mean Dorothy really was Sophia and Sal’s bio daughter.
@@LadyKC67 Haha...yes...picture it, Sicily 1850 LOL I remember that one! Great episode! Yes, that seals the deal for me! I forgot the ending of that one...a dream. Much like Patrick Duffy and Dallas. (The dream excuse was a thing in the 80's! lol) Thanks for reminding me! Signed - GG junkie! ;)
I forgot about one person who was on there, John Fiedler (the bald guy who all four had the hots for). He did the voice for Piglet on Winnie the Pooh.
I did not know that fact!
@@StayGoldenGirls yeah, I was watching the show the first time and thought his voice sounded so familiar. At first, I thought he did Pooh's voice.
He was also on The Bob Newhart Show.
@@southernoregoncatmom6519 thanks, didn't know that. Been so long since I watched the show, was only 6 when it started.
I think he was also on the first Odd Couple movie....along with Stan!!
This episode ( well all of them I truly enjoy) But the Burt Reynolds ep. I LOVED 😊❤❤
Mr. Burt Reynolds!
Oh, my heart!! So many legends! NUMBER 20!! 🥰🥰
💗
I love this !🥰
DEBBIE ......I love this lovely lady......❤❤❤❤❤❤
She would have been a great addition
@@StayGoldenGirls That's what I was thinking.
i cant get enough of the Fernando episode...
We approve of a rewatch multiple times
Great channel, laughing so hard!
Thank you for watching!
I loved them Golden girls....it was such shock that three of them has passed away....I still watch the old show's of them all on Hallmark channel & Logo channel too!❤😘😥
It is an amazing show
I think that was Billy Barty from the Wizard of Oz in the Jeanne Dixon episode..
John Holt It was.
From that dream sequence when Rose was trying to decide if she will marry a little person 😀. Billy Barty was great.
That's one awesome roster of guest stars! George Clooney!! Mickey Rooney! Bob Hope, Dick Van Dyke, Sonny Bono....OMG!
Yes!
Young George Clooney even mouth watering back then 😝😝😝😝😝😝🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😝😝😝😝🤩🤩🤩
Totes
Thank you for uploading this! My favorite guest star was Mr. Burt Reynolds, what a gorgeous man he was. I love my girls so much I even have a coffee mug with all of their funny quotes on it and drink out of it every morning! ❤❤
Also I love that you wrote Mr. Burt Reynolds because that is totally his full name
I loved when they all said they were sluts when he asks
@@Krimson-do1st Lol right! Being mesmerized by his beauty, I think I would have raised my hand too 🤣🤣
@@StayGoldenGirls Indeed!
HANDS UP!
Wheres my most memorable st Olaf stories at
It is on the to do list.
@@StayGoldenGirls thank you
:)
LOVE The Golden Girls!!😊💖🙏
💜💛
I'm grateful for the video you uploaded and I myself know every episode of the show to not get lost, but you sure should have mentioned the names down their next to the numbers. For example, nobody got that Number 11 was Quentin Tarantino among the Elvises (I then thought about scrolling down the description, however if it's not too much effort add the names in the bottom left corner).
Thank you for watching!
I love it ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for watching.
It would've helped to use close captions for some of us who didn't know who some of the 'memorable characters' were.
All the people are listed in the description in order.
Debbie Reynolds had a cameo role in one of the Golden Girls' episodes. She died in 2016, aged 84. A day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died, aged 60.
Indeed
Love these so fun to watch the girls.
So fun indeed!
I was litra-ally just watching the golden girls and they got some new action figures coming out 🤗
They do?!?!
@@StayGoldenGirls yes !! Google it

Oh, sweet St. Olaf, it's true... =)
Betty White is the only Golden Girl left but I always have loved watching The Golden Girls !

Love love them forever ! x
Me too
This is fabulous, if I may request something please, could you do a compilation of Dorothy when she says "maaaa" because she said that a lot or maybe Blanche when she says " Sophiaaaa" please pretty please
Adding it to the list

Alice Ghostly at the end.
Mhm,
"And Alice, who once was Ghostley, turned a whiter shade of pale!!!!!!" (Sorry, I couldn't resist the joke!!!!!!!)😁😁😁😁
This is Blanch and my aunt Dorothy. 😂
Love it.
I adore these girl's❤🤗😘
Me too!
It's so sad that Debbie died of a broken heart. I don't remember the medical term for it but it's a very real phenomenon. I can't imagine her pain. I hope she and Carrie are together again.
💜💜
as many times as Dorothy had her comebacks Sophia new how to troll Dorothy to!
'don't do anything I wouldn't do'
'I think I crossed that line when I got a date!' hehe
and
'Mother Zbornak' almost forgot about her, she should've had her own show LOL, the way she took down all the photo's of Stanley when he left and called him a yutz, 'who needs him around here' and that it turned out she actually liked Dorothy, that episode was so funny
Yes!!
Awesome 😀
Thank you!
