    My Review
My husband and I travel full time in our fifth wheel and have always wanted an ice maker. One of the downsides of tiny living is limited amenities in your rig. But this ice maker makes our tiny house a home. I love having ice cold water and the tiny ice tray in our tiny freezer wasn't cutting it. This was so nicely packaged (double boxed) so easy to set up. I had ice ready to go 10 minutes after setting up. Since I am currently pregnant I want ice cold drinks and this has saved my bacon! I now have ice cold water, pop and my husband can make ice cold cocktail. Can't wait to have guests over and have ice for them! What a luxury! It is a sleek and clever design that is easy to fill. I recommend anyone traveling in a RV get one if they love ice cold drinks like us!

Thanks for the review! Power consumption is listed in the manual at 120 watts and 1.9/2.7 amps. I was curious so i looked it up. Thought I would post the info if anyone else was interested. (as usual the numbers don't add up) 1.9 amps @120V is 228 watts not 120. based on 1.9 amps AC-the DC amperage would be about 19-20 amps@12V, so you might get 10 hours of ice production with a 400 amp hour battery bank used to 50%(200Ah). probably best to use a generator for boondocking ice production unless you have a bunch of solar. Thats a lot better than I thought it would be!!!

I wish I could find one that is a lot smaller and makes less ice (maybe half that one - which appears standard - 26 pounds).

Jody's Journey The same design, but much smaller, was the first to come out. Those units can be had for as cheap as $75.00 now, I saw that price at our area WalMart. When I bought ours I got it on sale for $99.00 when they were running $130.00. The difference with the, I'm guessing standard size, is only one size of cubes and no side drain to get any residual water out. Other than those differences it still works fast and will continue to make ice as long as you keep it filled to the top line in the water reservoir which is under the ice basket. Being somewhat smaller we take ours in our 5th wheel too for easy ice on the road. I will say in use it is a bit noisy, the refrigerator sound at the cooling compressor and the ice being dumped into the basket. We usually make some ice while we will be outside for a while and the ice maker is inside the RV.

Joseph Brown Thanks. I’ll have to keep looking. Everything I saw on Amazon made 26 pounds. It’s just me in a camper van so I don’t need that much. Thanks again.
