@@LondonVisited- you’ve put that very graciously. I know Freddie left it all to Mary but it seems a shame that other than the month prior to auctions his fans will never have the opportunity to see these things or visit his home.
Freddie’s popularity has only grown since his death especially on the heels of the resurgence of Queen with Adam Lambert and the movie, “Bohemian Rhapsody”. If it’s simply about the money she could have made even more opening the home up to the public. I don’t mean to sound petty but it seems when one is gifted the legacy of a superstar and legend they have a bit of a responsibility to share it with the world before liquidating it.

Freddie and Mary made this plan before he died.
Mary was to live in Garden Lodge and enjoy Freddie's collections as long as she wanted.
Freddie did not want his home turned into a museum or open to the public, it was his private sanctuary and he wanted Garden Lodge to be alive with a family. Freddie wanted his collections to be loved and treasured by the people who were the highest bidder, just like how he acquired them.
Freddie's favorite place in London was Sotheby's and he would have been thrilled at what a wonderful spectacular event "Freddie Mercury a World of His Own" was.
