The mistakes most people make when doing crypto price predictions are:
1: using market cap as an artificial limit in crypto (it has no bearing or rules on price action, history proves this)
2: Trying to use traditional market Technical Analysis on globally traded tokens with some utility
3: ignoring global institutional inflows and utility partnerships
4: assuming rational actors trading at the height of bull markets. They are not rational. People were paying $500 in gas fees to swap $200 in Eth based tokens or Jpegs.
5: assuming ETH will stay the dominant smart contract platform, even as projects flee to better and faster L1s
Yes ... there are projects that are only possible on Solana. btw there is a fake twitter account impersonating you. It uses a "1" instead of an "L" in the name.

I think he had it wrong when he said SOL's CS would be 650m by the end of 2025. I think I will be around 475m to 500m

Yeah I don’t think he did. If you go to solanacompass, you can see the daily burn. Usually ranges from 800-900 Sol burned a day 👌🏼

You have to remember a dollar from 3 years ago is worth about 60 cents today and likely 35 cents in the next 2 years, in terms of dollar vs appreciating assets. That’s an additional 2-3x right there due to the fed printing.

I loved the video. Very well detailed. You forgot to mention about how Solana is adding Firedancer client to stabilize the network, Ethereum has 4 separate clients and Solana is barely adding new clients. Firedancer was tested in 2022 with an output of 650k TPS...making Solana scalability increase 10x. I also don't agree with the price prediction for the simple fact that in the next bullrun, the spot etf will ignite the institutional money from coming in. The market could get past 10 Trillion, not sure how everyone goes up and Solana stays down in marketcap. The way the markets been since 2021, Solana been a top 10-15 crypto. Why would Solana underperform and slip down while the entire market rises? Mmmmmmm nah...

So of rhe market explodes, you, I, and whoever is here in the space will benefit. Yeah, less volatility, less gains in the future. But who cares, make your $$$ reap the benefits of being here, now. It's like that in any market. The ones who got in early on oil, precious metals, diamonds, the Microsoft stocks and so on.... they were early, they made their wealth. That's just barely passing its former all time high. If you expect it to be top 5 then it would almost certainly be well over $500

To be competitive with other l1 n l2, solana and other chains must have some unique use case. Saga phone is an expensive option imo. I know its out of scope but can you do some research about Aleph Zero and its use case of private smart contract, MPC. This network has fast tps and dead cheap also.

I like SOL, but the main limitation is that it does not natively support Solidity smart contracts.

@CuriouscC88 Playing devil's advocate here - but it could be said that ETH is way too expensive. Solana is low cost and very fast. It's set up well for real world use like card payments and ticketing. Many people think it is extremely under-valued at the moment meaning it has a larger potential upside. But hey, nobody knows right? Anything could happen in the crazy world of crypto.
@@RobQos hmm yea i agree that retail like cheap and fast, i do think solana has potential to bounce back it has a massive ecosystem and community but passing over ATH and out performing BTC and ETH seems very ambitious, also there are a few L2s already taking more market share than Solana, we dont know how it'll look once theyre really established

I would put the price prediction in the “defensive bucket”, which may be the responsible thing to do for him. But if more businesses start successfully migrating to SOL, it’s gonna cause a ripple effect, at which point it would make sense to look at its market cap in terms or percentage of ETH biz value is sol at rather than by circulating supply..
Need a simulator for TPS speeds during high volume not when its dead, but overall not a bad accumulation zone

SOL is over 185 just now. Great. The review was overly cautious -perhaps. One thing is that it was informative and newsy, a solid report. Another is that it was not breathless. He gave a 30% chance it would break the ATH of 250 or so. Fair enough. If it hits 260, he was not wrong. I'd rather have this kind of measured assessment than the crazy get-rich predictions elsewhere.
I also did a follow up video shortly after admitting I was wrong. Based on some comments I get on this video and my Solana "shorts" you would think I personally insulted some people
