Thank you so much for this! This is a way better method than the one my teacher explained! I got so confused with that one! This was extremely helpful! Thank you!! :)
I have a weird matrix here where instead of subtracting the green from the red, I had to add them together to get the Det. this is why I hate math, MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!! If i were in an exam i woulda be screwed!
I know its a 3 year old comment but if anyone is still wondering then No, this method will **not** be valid. This only works for 3x3 matrix and is known as "Rule of Sarrus". There's one method for 2x2 matrix which is even easier thought. Suppose your 2x2 matrix is a b c d Then determinant will be = (a times d) - (b times c). For example : Take a 2x2 matrix 3 5 2 6 Then determinant = (3x6) - (5x2) = 18 - 10 = 8 Hope this helps :)
I'm confused because my teacher said that we're supposed to add the top to bottom first and then we subtract the bottom to top no matter what the sign is. Help please??
For those that want some more practice exercises on 3x3 determinants, I uploaded a video where I solve several such exercises, step-by-step. It might help out some of you :) ruclips.net/video/yzVF4vpxrYc/видео.html
Its all nice knowing a method of how to find the determinant. BUT ACTUALLY KNOWING WHY THE FUCK THAT METHOD WORKS IS WHAT IM LOOKIN FOR AND I CANT FIND THAT ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET. sorry about that, wasn't tryin to h8 on ur video, im just a little bit pissed off.
+kvrule To answer your question.. long long ago a mathematician, or a few of them, sat down and wondered about other ways to get the same answer to a problem, this was one of the ways. it works because someone already did the trial and error process to get the formula correct which gets the answer correct. LOTS AND LOTS of man hours.
THANKS ALOT, MY MATHS TEACHER MADE IT SO HARD
abubakar bobboi very relatable
Long live quality online education! :D
This is the easiest way to do this and the way it should be taught in the first place. No idea why teachers haven't picked up on this but thank you
Math teachers hate him.
Thanks this helped me A TON
Thank you so much for this! This is a way better method than the one my teacher explained! I got so confused with that one! This was extremely helpful! Thank you!! :)
9 years
Huge respect and love from Nepal Sir
WOAH!! this is really easy!!! my prof made it looked like it was some kind of albert einstein mathematics xD THANKSSSSS
amazing. you just made my life so much easier..the end to calculation mistakes! thank you
god bless you...may he bring fortune to and your loved ones.
thankyou, this method is way easier than the cover method
What a life saver! Thank you!
Thank you so much, I hope for nothing but greatness in your life!
Awesome video. Very helpful
Much more easier than patrick tutorial..thanks
Wow... This is some kind of simplified magic
you have no idea how much this helped... fav and sub
Thought about doing an eigenvalue and eigenvectors video? You have a pretty awesome teaching style
Very very helpful thanks please release more videos of 4 by 4
I really love the explanation...
This is a very well done video.
you were really good at explaining this. thanks
WOW! THIS IS LIKE A MAGIC! IMPRESSIVE!
Wonderful
You are genius
Thanks!
You helped me big time
Thanks sir
Thank you so much love you. It's very helpful., ❤💕
Thank you so much!! You made it so easy!
I have a weird matrix here where instead of subtracting the green from the red, I had to add them together to get the Det. this is why I hate math, MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!! If i were in an exam i woulda be screwed!
wow great explanation pls may u continue posting
YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup that's a good video right there. Nice explanation
It was so easy
Thanks
this is sooooo easy thank u so much
I'll promise I will get an A+ if you be my math lecturer
My shitty math teacher taught us nothing. Thanks this is a godlike video
Bro i love you so much thank you very much
Thank you so much😍😍😍
Thanks alot😍😍
Great video, thanks!
Excellent
Wow, thank you bro
why do you subtract the red ones first?
This was very helpful! Thank you so much! :)
What unconventional sorcery is this???
It's very conventional ^^. It's called the "Rule of Sarrus".
@Bunny83 sounds like the name of a sorcerer to me
@@jkizla lmao
Thank jesus for this video
wow amazing wizard's wand in exams
What if the matrix is of some other value like 4X4 or 2X2. Will this method be valid?
Mohanjot Kaur Can someone please answer this man!!!
No......its only for 3×3.
Yes,this is applicable for 4x4 too, but you have to enter the signs accordingly
I know its a 3 year old comment but if anyone is still wondering then No, this method will **not** be valid. This only works for 3x3 matrix and is known as "Rule of Sarrus". There's one method for 2x2 matrix which is even easier thought. Suppose your 2x2 matrix is

Thanks 🙏
Fantastic, this is super easy!
Fuck u
Thanks bro 😍😍😍
Thanks so much! My teacher made this look like physics lol jk...but she made it look really hard!
Okay I'm confused is finding the determinate the same as reducing the matrice?
Thank you so much
Thank you
I'm confused because my teacher said that we're supposed to add the top to bottom first and then we subtract the bottom to top no matter what the sign is. Help please??
Ohh my God you are an amazing sir, thanks for solve my problem. Now, I am going to subscribe your channel. You just deserve more subscribers.
Omg this helped me sooooooooooo much
It's is only working for 3×3 matrics with positive values 🙄
Thanks alot😊
thanks for you😍👌
How to put sign. While adding
great Job
Wow thanks

We haven't done this sums in our school.😃😃😃
Thanks
This video stressed me out.
Thank you so much !!!!
Appreciate it
I used to copy the first two rows under the matrix an do the same thing
why the determinant is calculated in this way........?
prima, ausgezeichnet
sehr gut..:)
NICE!!! Thank you!! :)
amazing
Thanks a lot man 🤘🏽 youre so genius haha
Das ist gut!!!Danke.
Friedhelm Winter shut up commmie
thanks soo much
what's the name of this method?
what is the app you are using for moving, copying etc.?
Looks like paint
vive Habib.
thanks
does this method work with 6x6 .... I'm getting weird answers?
nope. 3x3 only
I LOVE YOU
Pure sorcery 😂😂😂
Ooooo thanxxxxxxxxxxx a loooooot🌸🌸🌸❤️❤️❤️
how can find determinant of 4 by 4 matrix?????
sawen sh just add 1 kore
Wow...
nothing to write on the script....just the answer
SMH, He just made this look too easily. Thanks
i love you

Thanks a fuck ton man
what if it is a 3×4 matrix???
Pls upload a vid for that too ;)
not possible!
DON'T USE IT, IT DOESN'T WORK ALWAYS
2.1K Like xD
Why not explain the motivation?
This is not adding to my understanding
I went on an online calculator to check, it said the determinant of this matrix was 24 sooooo
its in fact -32
This method doesn't work for all problems. be careful when using this unconventional method
this is fake maths 😒
Its all nice knowing a method of how to find the determinant. BUT ACTUALLY KNOWING WHY THE FUCK THAT METHOD WORKS IS WHAT IM LOOKIN FOR AND I CANT FIND THAT ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET. sorry about that, wasn't tryin to h8 on ur video, im just a little bit pissed off.
