INVERSE OF A MATRIX
Definition
Let A be any square matrix. If there exists another square matrix B Such that AB = BA = I (I is a unit matrix) then B is called the inverse of the matrix A and is denoted by A-1.
The cofactor method is used to find the inverse of a matrix. Using matrices, the solutions of simultaneous equations are found.
Working Rule to find the inverse of the matrix
Step 1: Find the determinant of the matrix.
Step 2: If the value of the determinant is non zero proceed to find the inverse of the matrix.
Step 3: Find the cofactor of each element and form the cofactor matrix.
Step 4: The transpose of the cofactor matrix is the adjoint matrix.
Step 5: Apply the formula for the inverse

Crispy and concise, bravo my guy! Love that you *physically covered* the elements we want to ignore when finding the intermediate determinants.
I appreciate it 🙏
I'm glad it was helpful
Thanks you so much for my adimition
physical cover?
physical education?
nawwww like he actually, physically shrouds the ignored elements so that the only ones we can see are the ones we finna act on in that moment. cuts out the noise/distractions, fill me?@@georgen9755
thanks a lot. I genuinely appreciate how u made me understand this.
You're very welcome!
thank you so much, you earned yourselves a loyal subscriber
Thank you so much. I'm going to practice especially for mesh circuits
You're welcome
Sir I love the way you teach and kudos for that.
this the best explanation ive ever seen. thanks a billion!
thank you so much man... absolute legend
Thank you for the excellent and well-founded explanation; it is truly exceptional 🙏
You're very welcome!
Thanks 🙏🏾 for letting me understanding it well 👍👍
You're such a good teacher. Something i struggled with the whole semester summarised in a 15min video. You're a genius!
I'm glad it was helpful. Best of luck with your exams.

helpful, thanks!! :))
thank you, truly helped me!
You're welcome. I'm glad it was helpful 😊
I haven't been able to attend classes during the entire final lessons and I have an exam later. You helped me a lot in understanding it in a very simplistic way. Thank you very much ^^
Glad I could help! All the best in your exams

Thank you so much sir!!
@@longlifelearner2005 you're welcome
Very well done thanks alot this is going to be very helpful. But I was wondering can I also use this for bigger or smaller matrix? So for 4x4 I could do
+ - + -
for the first colome to get the det A
and then do:
+ - + -
- + - +
+ - + -
- + - +
to get the Adj * A and then divide Adj*A by the det A like shown in the video or does it just work for 3x3 matrix? Thx!
I'm glad it was helpful. So yes you'll need to Co-factors the way you've layed it out, it's okay.

Thanks alot man 🫡💓.
You're welcome 😊
Wow.... really simplified.
So helpful
Glad it was helpful!
good video to watch
Glad you enjoyed it
I really appreciate this. Very methodical and clear. Yesterday I looked into matrices and made the formula for a 3x3 one. It was easy, although very tedious, and at the end I got stuff like this which is very confusing to apply. Let's say matrix
a b c
d e f
g h i
And the inverse would have in the place of a this:
(ei-fh)/(aei-afh+bfg-bdi+cdf-ceg). Very sluggish and confusing.
The whole thing is
(ei-fh) (ch-bi) (bf-ce)
(fg-di) (ai-cg) (cd-af)
(dh-eg) (bg-ah) (ae-bd)
With that long determinant as a fraction.
I'm glad you found this helpful. Best of luck 👍

fantastic video so with the inverse is there a way to determine x,y,z?
Yes, with the inverse you can apply:
X = A‐¹ • B
this really saved me thank you
You're welcome!
It was very helpful to me thank you very much
Glad it was helpful 😊
thank you for your wonderful explanation 😍😍😇
Glad it was helpful!
Too much helpful
I'm glad it was helpful 😊
Thanks ❤❤
You're welcome
Thank you for this video! Is there a rule as to how you assign the signs at 6:45 ?
You're welcome. Basically just consider negatives in those positions at all times.
odd-number rows: plus, minus, plus, minus, plus, minus...
even-number rows: minus, plus, minus, plus, minus, plus...
Yes 🎯
Next level explain sir ❤❤❤
I'm glad it was helpful 😊
This genuinely helped me thnks sir❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad to hear that. You're welcome 😊
VERY VER MUCH BRO I FROM ETHIOPIAN BUT I HEARTELY APPRCIET YOUR WORK SO MUCH WELL DONE CONTINUE

Cheers 👍
you inspire me to do better
That's the spirit. All the best 💪
MInute 1:04, just asking, did you miss the coefficient "6" before writting the operation?
Yes he did but he wrote it down later on.
THANKS

thanks bro
Any time
Super correct.
👍
Wrong
Good job Sir
So nice of you
A buch of thanks
Welcome 😊
Very good video,❤from🇨🇳
Thanks 😊
awesome
👍
i think using the identity matrix is easier [ A | I ] where once you row reduce the matrix A to its identity matrix with respect to the identity matrix, the identy matrix becomes the inverse of matrix A. A~I, I~A^-1
How did you get the 30
Thanks for that method of a pen raw by clomn
👏👏🙏
Goood lesson sir appreciation
i need a lesson of continuity function because you teach good
Thank you very much.
LIMITS & CONTINUITY: ruclips.net/p/PLDmIzLLlFxI1cyAP7_D2GND_YIseLPE19
Steps(For reference):
1. Find determinant of matrix A -> detA
2. Find the matrix of co-factors (tip: the first row was partiality fond when getting the detA)
3. Set the right sings of the matrix of cofactors. Alternatating
+ - +
- + -
+ - +
4. Transpose the matrix to find the adjoint matrix Aadj
5. Ainverse = 1/det * Aadj
Very easy to understand
Glad to hear that
🎉why do you put the positives and negatives at the top of every column
That's the procedure
Let me ask, there was negative six but you wrote postive, how come
-(-6) = 6
I have understood
Alright 👍
u gad it
@@murungimary7cute
This is nice more than my lecturers
I'm glad it was helpful 😊
I don't have much to say... just saying thankyou very much 😇😌
You're welcome. 😊
thx
Welcome
how come when I multiply the inverse matrix with the original it doesn't give the identity matrix
Because it's -(-6), when finding determinants the first one is + then second is - and third is +
It's written on top
Yes
Im confused on how you found the D(Determent) and the rest but I know the inverse would be the 3 numbers on the bottom 3rd row as the answer
Here's an alternative method for finding the determinant: ruclips.net/video/upk7M6uuMLo/видео.html
