Phenomenal video of a very unique setup! I honestly can't think of any rack I've seen modified in such a way. Seeing this finish in a video really helps give a proper idea of how it truly looks since there aren't many pictures or reviews of it out there. The fact that it is all in your living room is both awesome and hilarious (as long as the wife is on board, right?!) Thank you for documenting your impressions of this product and its accessories!
I'm really happy with the setup. About broke my neck when she asked me if we could turn the living room into a gym. I must say it is by far the most used piece of furniture I've every purchased 😂😂😂
As much as I love the equipment reviews from the bigger channels, this was a more practical video of a realistic and affordable setup. Keep up the good work!
Really nice set up. I like the thinking outside the box when you did your layout. That’s one of the things I love about Rogue. Very customizable. Oh yeah, love the view outside your front door. 👌
Awesome home gym!! It’s crazy but it’s your home and you can do whatever you want with your space haha. I am building a garage gym and I love how you set up your rack to essentially have 3 work stations. I see that you listed the parts you used in the description. Would you mind telling me how much your monster rack set up cost you? I’m trying to build something similar but I am also comparing/shopping other brands for price comparison. Thank you!
I like the 4 ft cross members you installed. Does that mean you had to buy 2 sets of these. The top and bottom? How much cheaper was it to do it this way. I see the standard rig is $2k
@@Fitforacting other than misc bands and free weights I haven't needed anything more. I have my eye on the lever arms. I use the monolift the most and the straps are the best. Saved me many times.
So I just ordered my Rogue Monster Rack with the satin clear color because of your video. Did you ever contemplate going with the stainless steel option?
Hey Mannie! Thanks for commenting. The satin finish is just a clear coat so you get to see all of the steel. It's pretty cool. Not sure I'm answering your question right....
happy to. They had an odor for about 2 to 3 weeks then it settled down. i made a floatting floor by laying 2"x6" wood in a grid pattern then drilling the floor board into the 2x6. layed the stall mats down afterward. we left it that way for a little over a year before we moved houses.
I've moved my rack about 4 times now over the past 5 years. The clear coat does scratch and has marked where i've moved the posts or scratched the surface with workout equipment. as for chipping...... not really. the thing is even with the surface scratching of the clear coat i can grab a spray can of clear and do just that. its super simple. I've had next to no issues with my rack. keep in mind i'm low humidity and high altitude and that can make a difference.
@@RedWoodLove Which clear coat brand/finish do you use to touch up? Was going to try the Rustoleum spray. Doing some myself on my clear coat myself. 3 years so and thinking of taking a new CTM-1 and want to make sure I can repair ok. You sand the chipped edges away?
Love it. It was a great buy. My only gripe is the feet at the bottom tend to give a little since the front and rear feet aren't connected. I've gotten so used to it I dont notice it anymore
Is this finish less prone to scratching or at least showing scratches Than the normal rogue powder coated racks? Seems impossible to avoid scratches from removing J cups etc... Do the J cups on monster Have uhmw where the J cups attach to the rack or only where the bar would sit?
There is no paint just clear coat. The clear can "scratch". However with a little sanding and spray on clear coat looks good add new. I have had zero issues with assuming from my j cups and I have 2 pair. I have moved my rack 3 times and the scuffed areas i have are on the lower posts where i forced the beams in during the installs. The scuffs aren't somet noticable enough for me to care. I've seen the painted posts and the scratches and scuffs are not repairable in the same manner
Everything is holding up incredibly well. Few bits of the clear coat clouding where I use the adjustable straps. Other than that it’s 100% new looking. No rust what so ever. I have the adjustable hammer arms in black and that paint scratches unlike the satin finish. I’d make the same choice 100 times over
@@RedWoodLove Appreciate the reply. Have been looking at a RM6 in satin clear or, possibly, really getting the checkbook out for a Sorinex XL in their clear grind. Had a conversation yesterday with a Sorinex rep and he told me if you get their clear grind or clear finish options you have to sign a waiver acknowledging that it will rust eventually. He straight up said he wouldn't get it and that Sorinex is debating on discontinuing it until they can figure out a solution. Problem is it's so popular it's hard to do that. Great to hear you haven't had any issues. The "does the satin clear rust" is a hot topic, but not a lot of info out there. If you're up for it, maybe you can do a two-years later video.
Still using it. I moved houses. the only thing that changed was the inability to use the flying monkey bars. so i put the individual bars in the middle of the rack. Still the most used piece of equipment in the house haha. as for making changes. I added the rogue trolly lever arms. I have dismantled and re assembled the rack 3 times now. minimal wear and tear. My region doesn't get a lot of humidity and so far zero signs of rust. still very pleased with my purchase

JUST ORDERED RM-4, same finish, your video helped!
Rad! You'll love it.ive moved it 3 times and still looks new.
Satin finish rocks! I just ordered one yesterday in that same color! 💪
Agree! Timeless imo
Beauty setup. Convinced me to go with the satin clear when I get my RM-6. Congrats.

Bodysolid bench is solid :). Got one too

isn't the traditional rear crossmembers on the RM-6 2.0 24" not 30"?
At the time I bought them they were 30"

I did end up having to purchase 4 of them. I dont remember the overall price difference. It's been a while
Let’s see some training videos! This is an awesome setup. What was the final cost??
It was around $3200. A followup video is definitely in order. Moved to a new house as well. Thanks for the comment
Jared Koz that
IS very reasonable. I am looking to get a rack also but it doesn’t have as much as yours does and it’s almost the same price
Jared Koz I cant wait until you post the new one. Also did you get more attachments?

There is a newer stainless steel option for around $2200 I believe Mannie is referring to.

Jared, can you elaborate on the flooring? Don't horse stall mats smell if kept indoors?

How can I order the same size rack? I don't see any option to add a 4ft cross member??
I had to call them to get them to do it

That view is awesome! where do you live?
Utah! Great place to be.
So satin is the best color? So hard to decide.
I’ve enjoyed it. Looks really good. You get scratches in the clear coat here and there but looks way better than scratches in a painted finish
Is the satin clear still holding up well? It looks amazing and I’ll prob be going with that as well.
I've moved the rogue rack twice now and it still looks amazing. I would choose it again for sure
nice home gym
Thanks Ramen!
