Great video - same as so many have commented, at the very least you saved me the cost of a repair job, although could easily have just ended up replacing the machine altogether. Amazing the amount of stuff that gets stuck in there.
Thank you for this. Was about to order a new machine but this video gave me the confidence to take the pump out and clean it which of course solved the problem.
Thank you so much your video was so handy the amount of things I had in my pump had about 10 pound in change and two empty dog waste bags no idea how that happened thanks for saving me like a day figuring out what was wrong with it 👍👍👍
THANKS so much!!!! Our washing machine was blocked just now and thanks to your video we got it sorted quickly. Today is Sunday and tonight is UEFA, so we might have to wait 2 days before the engineer come and check but thanks to you, like I said, sorted quickly! Thanks mate! x. from all of us in Yorkshire.
Glad I could help... have a beer waiting for the game myself... ive moved now to Lincolnshire so not that far away...have a good evening and good luck ENGLAND.
Having this exact problem. I drained the water from the cap at the bottom. A few washes have been ok, but just finished a wash and the drum was about 1/3 full of water. Thankfully I tried to spin it again and it has worked this time. But now I know what the issue probably is. Thank you.
Thanks so much for your video, it described my issue perfectly. I removed the pump motor to find a face mask stuck in it, everything is working perfectly again!
Informative video thanks. Issue I got on my one is the water doesnt ever drain out the hose bit, nothing happens but does easily come out the round filter part but takes ages and makes everywhere wet and recently when it finishes a wash the drum still has some water in there and lot of bubbles. When I then try a drain and spin to clear it, it starts from 12mins and stays stuck at 8mins for least 30mins and longer. Any advice would be appreciated cheers.
Hi... tricky..Remember I'm not a washing machine expert. I can only go by what I find on mine but sounds to me that either your pump isn't working or you have a blockage between the pump and the outlet of the pipe... if you have access to a hose pipe you can back flush it from the outlet and make sure it comes out the pump.. with the round filter housing in place you can back flush right back into the drum... hope this helps.. thanks for watching and your comment
@@shaunsautorepairs5410 thanks for your reply. After watching how you accessed the pump there was a little blockage full of gunk and black stuff like squid ink in the little outlet pipe hopefully it works better now although still have the other issues lingering.
Hi.. thanks for watching and your question.... I would expect like most parts of this type the impeller is just a press fit on the spindle. You could pressing it back on with a touch of epoxy glue in the hole. Otherwise I expect it will be a new pump.
bloody brilliant mate. Thanks for this - got me out of a tight spot - found 2 collar stiffeners off my shirts jamming the cap. The spring circlip on the main hose is very tough - takes a bit of getting off. Hope Ive got it back on securely..... what did we do before RUclips??
Thanks for this....worked a treat...even managed to do it myself, tho wrestling with the hose clip whilst reconnecting it to the pump took a while. Cheers
Hey Shaun. I've just opened my pump bit to clean it out. Now I've closed that hold back up. That propeller is spinning around as I can hear it but it's not taking in water now. I've got a Beko WTB820E1W
The inlet to the pump comes directly from the drum outlet so if you have water in the drum and its not entering the pump then you still have a blockage or a callapsed/twisted pipe.. If you have an external anti syphon valve or filter that may be worth checking as i knows ours gets blocked with hair etc and stops it draining.
Everything was fine.. Till I decided to clean it. I pulled out that little thing that catches debrie. Closed it back up. I hear the propeller going around but nowt else.
Wicked dude, I just managed to get the filter out with brute force and pliers, a tone wire and some gaffer tape for some reason, phewwww I would be rubbish at doing what you did :-)
To be fair I think most modern washing machines have a drain hose. If it's not obvious refer to your instruction manual.. thanks for watching and your comment
Mine haven't had a hose in the past. You can tilt the machine back and put a washing bowl under it to catch the water. (Probably too late for you, as you posted ages ago, but just putting this here in case anyone else wonders the same thing.)
Are you refering to the metal clip that holds the drain pipe on the pump. If you are you will need a pair of suitable pliers to compress the ends as its quite a strong clip.
If its not draining you must have a blockage, either in the pump itself or in the stand pipe where the outlet pipe goes. You've proberly got some debris from the washing in the pump
Thank you for replying. Is there any way off unblocking the little tube. ? The machine is full of water. I tried to switch the cycle to a drain and spin but it kept trying to go back to.the original cycle and kept adding more water 😢. Just had floor replaced , so desperate to not have a flood all over it .
@@HeatherChristie-z2b you should be able to manually drain it... .open the flap near the base and where the drain cap is there should be a tube where you can drain the drum into a bowl or something .
That wee tube appears blocked too. Guess I am just going to have to go straight to the filter bit and do my best not to get it all over the floor. Any tips 😢
@@HeatherChristie-z2b just take things slowly....undo the filter a bit at a time and mop up any water that comes out. That's all I can suggest... if you have any serious concerns get a plumber in to assist you
