  • How to remove and clean filter on Beko Washing Machine & keep it Hygienically Fresh.
In this video I will show you how to remove the Beko Pump Filter (also known as Beko Coin catcher), check for debris, give it a good clean and re-install. It's a common problem which is why you should check all pockets in your laundry before starting a Washing machine cycle.
So if your Beko washing machine is not draining water properly or is smelly, it is likely to be a blocked Beko pump filter.
If you hear any Washing Machine strange noises around the pump filter then don't wait for it to break, clean out that Beko washing machine filter as soon as you can. It will save you money and hassle.
How to clean Beko Washing Machine Pump Filter ideally is an annual job if you can do that. The washing machine filter will get dirty anyway.
As you are cleaning the filter I will also show you how to clean the Beko dispenser drawer, the dispenser drawer area and the drum rubber and then we will run a super hot wash at 90C to keep the Beko Washing Machine hygienically fresh.

This was an excellent help - thank you. I empty the drain hose regularly but had stayed away from the pump filter as this seemed to be more of a 'big job'. However thanks to you it was a harmless and usefully spent 10 minutes.
Also - just as a hint if I may - to drain the small hose I use a 500ml plastic water bottle (one of the square shaped ones) and this is usually large enough to drain in one go , so long as you hold the open end up a bit as the bottle fills up, which saves all that precarious balancing with the tray.
Thank you for this video, it's been very useful.

My washing machine started making funny noises. I tried to get the filter cap off but it wouldn't turn all the way. After watching this, I just kept turning it left and right, then it eventually moved what was trapping it and I got the curby grip out with tweezers. You've saved me buying a new washing machine or having to call the repair man out. Thankyou.

I have just bought a Latest blue tooth steam claen "Beko" washing machine. I have only had it a few weeks. I found this video very imformative. I wished I watched it before I cleaned my filter (Lol) not... I learnt the hard way I didn't pull the plug of the drainer first. You guessed it I had a flood accross my floor, where I un-screwed my plastic filter to quickly. Also I couldn't understand by the booklet instructions how to run a super clean cycle... You have made it funny (Your wifes tooth brush) lol and step by step easy to follow instructions and the video to go with it. Thank you. I always have a have a job understanding booklet instructions but your video, made it easy to follow. Thanks again.

@@LurgsHowToGuides Also I got adventuras and did a hygene clean by your instructions on your vidio. But...I didn't have the proper cleaning / deoderising ? powder to put in my machine. So I did what you said (Well I didn't) you said use a little bit of laundry detergent. Arh ! this is where I went wrong I used enough washing detergent to do a full load and...(Well Ooops !) I had a machine full of bubbles for the whole two hour plus cycle. (Arh !) I was hoping it wasn't going to over flow out of the machine. I was having kittens (Putting it politley) I learnt from that miss hap to watch and listen carefully from videos. Lol Two miss-haps in one day....Lol (Not)

A great way to stop the machine stinking, is to clean out the drawer you put the liquid in, put a towel in that to soak up any water. I put towels in the seal where the water collects where you open the door. Clean the door glass dry too. So that it's a really dry my machine. Since doing this I've never had issues with mold, or smells.if you want to go one step further, you can use a toothbrush in the drawer to clean any mold as I spied a tiny bit of mold where the water jets are. Also, Keep the door ajar until next time you use it. Yes a bit OCD 😊.my beko is 6 yrs old. With a bit of extra tlc it's still like new

Can you give some advice, I’ve opened my lint trap but I only found coins and some hair yet i still find these tiny grey-ish clumps of what i can only assume is lint on my washed clothes. When wet the clumps are really hard to get off but once they dry its kind of flaky even. Is this normal? Is there a way to fix it?

    • @LurgsHowToGuides

Yes that is normal unfortunately due to man made fibres in clothes, you see it alot in Tumble Dryer filters. You can buy cloth bags that you put your clothes inside which traps it all.

It's best to use Washing Machine Cleaner like Dr. Beckmanns, if you haven't got any put a tiny bit of detergent in the main drawer or in the drum directly, not too much else you'll get Sudslock where you get too much soap and it will pour out of every crevice! Also if I do a 60 wash should my drum be at least warm its stone cold.. Think I've got a problem somewhere I've cleaned out the filter like you done.. If you do a 60c wash the drum glass should get pretty hot during the cycle, if not then your machine is faulty. The machine should heat up the water to the desired temperature. Do an empty wash at 60c then check drum glass during the wash.
