    your tutorials are some of the best on RUclips, you show exactly what colours you need and mixes with the ratios. Only other channel I know that does that is Duncan Rhodes. You also explain stuff while showing how to do it... So many times I see a mini tutorial and they go now we do white, shows 1 clip and skips over all the areas they painted white...

      Thanks! That's why I record my Audio WHILE painting and don't do voiceover later. There are things you only realise while painting.

      @@JuanHidalgoMiniatures thanks to your tutorials my mini painting has gone from complete noob to at least decent in a stupidly quick time. I have only painted around 15 minis and the first to now is a like an entirely different painter did them. Your glazing explanations and showing the consistency on your nail helped so much in adding that next step to my minis

    Great video! I really like not only the technique but the explanation as well. I used to do this combined with some glazes after the stippling, maybe going a bit faster and heavier while stippling but smoothing it out with a fast glazing.
    Both ways its great for a ruined armour effect

    This looks like something you could use to make a very nice base for colored nmm schemes, perhaps by glazing over it very thinly with another color.
    For example, that weird "japanese bleach bottle" blue-green on ur 025 from blackstone fortress. Do you think something like that would work? I assume you would have to go back and touch up the highlights and such

    • @JuanHidalgoMiniatures
      @JuanHidalgoMiniatures  5 месяцев назад +1

      For sure! You would need to do the final highlights again though

    What I really want to know is why when you use 1 to 1 thunder hawk and admin grey , you then go 3 to 1 thunder to black. Why isnt it a 1 to 1 ?
    I think this is my main issue when selecting colours for techniques like this. I get confused , and end up messing it up. Many thanks

    I love stippling. I haven't had much success with NMM, maybe this technique will work for me.
    Stppling with whites can be a pain tho, most whites are a little unforgiving about how thin they need to be.

  • @jorgemontero6384
    @jorgemontero6384 5 месяцев назад

    Great stuff. I just wish of a little bit of palette view, because the tough part of stippling for me is to make sure the paint is thin enough, but the brush is not too full of water, making the dots too big and wet. Yours is perfect, but we don't quite see the process. Maybe it involves a little too much licking for the youtube algorithm?

    • @JuanHidalgoMiniatures
      @JuanHidalgoMiniatures  5 месяцев назад

    For fuck's sake =) I can do this technique for skin, since it's basically the same steps with stippling. But NMM? Nope. Something does not click in my head for NMM =)))
    But in any way, thank you very much for the guide. Guess I need to rewatch it a couple of times and make some test necrons ugly as eldars while trying to NMM them.
