Parkitect Campaign (Part 5) - Coral Caldera - Inverted Terrain Coaster
HTML-код

- Coral Caldera is one of my personal favourites when it comes to the scenarios - based on Aogashima off the coast of Japan, it's a dormant volcano crater in a tropical environment, perfect for a polynesian themed park. I'm taking my inspiration here from Koali Beach and other similar architecture for the first proper tropical park of the series so far. The highlight here is probably the Nemesis-style terrain conforming inverted coaster that snakes through the park.
Please excuse the terrible audio and video at the end - I had to record VLC footage since I wasn't able to open the .mp4 files that came out of the corrupted .mkv. All that just because I forgot to stop recording before closing OBS - so I'll have to pay attention to that from now on. However, it's been long enough since the last episode so I wanted to get this out now anyway.

“Not a good idea to build on an active volcano”
Rollercoaster Tycoon: *has you build inside a volcano literally over lava*
*and encourages you to build water rides inside the lava*
To be fair, RCT never had any lava. It just recoloured water.
@@Silvarret As I recall, the scenario editor called it Lava. It also had Acid.
Silvarret No guest could swim in either though, therefore either one was a death sentence
@@HeyThisIsBrian I think what he is referring to is when you add lava in the game it does a sound effect that is also played when you add water
"not gonna add too much scenery" *adds about 200 wooden poles*
37:14 I just was reading this comment when he said it
i know I am kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good site to watch new movies online ?
@Ameer Ali i would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Ameer Ali i watch on flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@@AmeerAli-od6xe putlocker?
i really like the fact that you helped creating this game. this way you can tell us some "easter eggs" or just some stories how you've created the map
Ohhh did I hear Koali Beach? A wild polinesian Camel appears!
I like it. See, thats the cool thing, I made this parc victorian styled, I thought it would fit as a colony...Lovely how different people approach it =)
Finally a new one, so happy!
These long video lengths are fantastic. I love getting to spend a full episode going start-to-finish on a scenario, the pacing with the speedbuilds intercut by real-time sections is ideal. Loving the series, can’t wait for the next one!
Best series on youtube, I've been refreshing multiple times a day for this!
What if I told you there was a "bell icon" that notifies you whenever Silv puts up a new video...
oh my. I just realized I watched this video without skipping at all. This is just so entertaining to watch. I also like how you got inspired by Black Mamba and Nemesis for the inverted coaster. I definitely think those two are one of the best themed coasters in the world. Nice one! Can't wait for the next one! :D
Something which can work out pretty well with rollercoasters, especially with the inverted one, is to use banked s-bends in sequence. When you already have a banked rail piece at the end of a curve for example, you can use a s-bend which is banked to the other side. Something which does not only look nice at the often faster ending sections of a coaster but also something which can be useful to connect back to the station.
I'm not going to lie, I stumbled across your videos not too long ago now, but they are THE best to watch baked.
Also,
“It’s 30 degrees so it’s pretty warm”
It took me, an American, a few seconds to process that statement
I'm so glad I'm not the only one 😂 I was like "oh that's an editing miss when they made this tropical looking scenario!" Then it hit me that he meant Celsius lol
My American brain took a few seconds to stop processing "30 degrees" as an angle and realize you meant temperature (it doesn't get very cold where I live)
When I first saw your Parkitect video on Vitoria Lake, I was trying to figure out of to beat it. I fell in love with your videos. You inspired me to pick up Parkitect again. Your coasters are amazing, your detailing is beautiful, and your building overall is perfect down to the pixel. Thank you so much for making more and more videos on the Campaign! I can't wait to see what you build in the next scenario!
Silvarret: *Sees coaster phase through tree* "I gotta remove that tree actually..." 28:44
Also Silvarret: *Misses the same 2 trees, TWICE at **29:00**, and **42:06** talks like he was actually paying attention towards the screen , NEVER REMOVES THEM.*
Me: "Hi, 911? I'd like to report a crime against humanity."
ever since alpha stage of Planet Coaster i have always admired the work you, Deladydesigner and Rudi do. I am enjoying the series Silvarret.
I know its an isometric game but it would be interesting to see what a coaster seat POV would look like.
Someone made a mod that does that
Every single time I watch you building parks I'm astonished at how beautiful your parks are.
This one is my favorite so far, really gorgeous looking and gave me lots of ideas for paths and overall scenery.
Great job as always keep it up !
Oh heck yeah, it’s everyone’s favorite coaster, wildmouse!!! Take a shot every time you hear the word “actually”
Man I can't express how much I love this series. You are such a cool guy. These videos get me really inspired. Until I saw your videos, my scenery and buildings look literally just like cardboard boxes. Thanks for doing these.
When you wanted to sleep early, but then there is a new parcitect video... Goodbye sleep.
The problem with the Vending Machines is that the Haulers need to move crates in front of it makes it so your guest can see them carry it around, you can't have them go in from the back like most other shops. This can be work around by making a Customizeable shop and setting it as a Vending Machine and then they will carry the crates to it from the back. So, you could design your own, is a shame that the current one is bad in that regard. =/
I guess for vending machines that's a bit of the punishment you get for trying to take the easy way out and avoid having to set up a staff area at the back - but the later addition of the customizeable shop made it a bit redundant.
The second problem is the toilets. Unless you put walls or decorations on it, it spreads negative decoration everywhere like wild fire. So, as I played trough the game instead of planting Normal Toilets I had a pre-built "House" Toilet, cost me a bit more then regular one. Who knew it had to look nice for people doing Nr 2. xD Fun game, got all medals and it gave me The Completionist Achievement! : D
I’ve recently just picked up Parkitect again. But the way you play and design is far more than I ever thought about.
For the most part, I just placed the rides down as is and every so often I would throw in some props or something. But I never built like you did or designed my own coasters.
I’ve started watching how you do things and would love to see a tutorial or two!
I really like the pathing you always do, where it looks like the two style of paths are interwoven
There's just something about how you design your park that makes you stand out from the rest, at least for me. Your Cydonia Hills (I forgot the actual name) was the very reason I bought the game when it officially released. Thank you so much for these videos.
Wow this was island was awesome! I really liked the style and your rollercoasters. You're so good at designing and building parks!
I love everything except those green and red parasols!
Finally 😊😊😊😊
Right?
Looking forward to play the campaign. You and Joshua did a great job creating these maps!
And thank you for being a really talented builder! I learn a lot from your videos.
I love the idea of a video about how to build coasters in parkitect! =) I bought the game two weeks ago and I just started the western themed campaign park. I do realy love this game because it's so simple to make things look very nice - but my coasters don't turn out as I would like them to do.. btw, I follow your series and I think parkitect campaign is amazing! You're doing such a great job. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us!!! =)
Really happy to see another Parkitect video, also hope your exams went well. Have an awesome day Silvarret!
i didn't know what parkitect was before a few days ago, theese videos are so entertaining keep up the good work
Not even it the half of that video and already mind-blown !!! Seriously thinking about downloading your video and playing the time lapse part in slo-mo just to learn from the master !
A new parkitect video 😍❤️ Instant like for that 😄
woo!! just make a game-agnostic "Silv's Coaster College" series... would love to see a few parkitect episodes. Coaster builder best practices, maybe some planco vs parkitect builder analysis, etc...
Also, "Silv's Scenery College" would be a great addition as well.
I really like the way you have two shades of pathway snaking around each other. Idunno why, it's just pleasing
Yeeeeeeees!! Was so happy when I saw this upload :D
SO DAMN EXCITED FOR A NEW EPISODE! love the consistency silv, keep up the good work!
Oh man, this is becoming my favorite Lets Plays of all time. I'm really loving it so far!
Two roofs slightly above each other with the arch border piece used to make them a thick piece with a differently textured side and top, amazing. I had to pause and go back to check how you did that.
That coaster is so satisfying to watch Dx
Absolutely loving the series, your attention to detail, insight and just everything puts to shame all i'm doing, but motivates me forward. Please keep it up, looks amazing and entertaining!
He Silvarret, Your campaign series vid’s are amazing, and really inspiring. It helps with my own parks as well. The usage of your scenery parts brings me on a lot of new opportunities for buildings and stuff. Keep on going looking forward to the next one!
Yes! I've been waiting for this. Thank you for all your hard work, your level designs are fantastic. This is really the best ad for Parkitect there is, I need to get it after watching these videos.
Great post! Hey Silvarret - you need to build trash chutes for your handymen so they don't have to take the trash all the way back to the front of the park! I usually hide them in my restroom buildings!
ah, good point - totally forgot about that. Thanks!
This is by far one of my favorite series on youtube atm. Very relaxing and interesting. Thanks
Thank you for a great series, I’ve now purchase the game and hopefully I will enjoy it as much as you. I have played rollercoaster tycoon 1-3 and planet coaster and absolutely love them.
Been loving this series a lot so far Silv! These videos got me into playing the game for myself and I've been taking a lot of inspiration from these parks! Can't wait for the next one :)
who are you Sil?? so creative, i can watch whole your video like forever and you make my theme park look like s**t. a very big claps for you!!!
Thank our DEAR leader Jim, there is another episode
Justin Vizzer Jim Pickens!
@@maikelhaas2507 ah I see you've heard of his great cult
That Bali inspired piece looks real good, even as an Indonesian I'd never thought about it. (and the coasters were also amazing, but I think that goes without saying lol)
I finally just finished this episode of my campaign. Yours.... looks much better. :D
These videos are so fun to watch! they make me so excited to theme my parks better i think you do a great job every episode!
just found this channel! really love to see gameplay from someone that appreciates irl theme parks. really pretty park and the rides look great!
Love your content so far! Waiting impatiently for the next one
Okay that station building looks amazing, that whole entrance area even before I go too far into the video - I've gotta figure out how you do it
The way you build all the things looks so natural. lol
I can't do that.
I sometimes watch each episode 2 or 3 times before I play the same scenario. Mine never come out as nice but I think I'm learning stuff and improving. I just don't have the same imagination and probably a lot less theme park experience. :P Thanks!
Finally another episode!! Feels like I've been waiting for ages to watch this episode. I was kind of surprised seeing the park theme of this episode is very close to a traditional Indonesian theme. If only the thatched roofs were dark brown and black. I do hope one day you would deliberately make an Indonesian themed park, complete with our stilt structures, great houses, stone temples, and crazy roofs.
i've been waiting for this the whole week. you are amazing!
Great video! Another youtuber from the netherlands who is just starting out named ForceRides built the same type of wild mouse, but it took watching your video and your explanation to catch on that it was truly a different kind of wild mouse and they didn't mean *the* bobsled coaster.
I loved this one too, & I’m waiting for the day you get a city type campaign because I’d love to see your take on Big Ben or any other landmarks
always so happy when you release a video. This series is awesome!!
Sick series! your building technique is godlike
Amazing! I love this series, but this park is the best. It's like Koali Beach in Parkitect.
If you get the time to build a new sandbox map in Parkitect after the campaign is over, please do!!! Really impressed with your work
Looks awesome! I love how you still think about Koali! That was one heck of a collab :D
My favorite Gerstlauer Bobsled Coaster is Heiße Fahrt @ Freizeitpark Klotten. G'sengte Sau is also a very good one that utilizes more visual stimulus but Heiße Fahrt has all of those bunny hills!
YAY a new one it feels like forever since the last one
I always get super giddy when you mention Alton Towers or Blackpool Pleasure Beach, pretty much only 2 parks I've visited!
4:16 the way silv says discovered gets me
6:00 Ngl I had to do a triple take when I heard that Koali Beach was actually a collab with Keralis who is one of my favorite Hermitcraft members now. The dude is HILARIOUS (he has a calming voice but can also make dirty jokes that still remain PG enough to be family friendly), I definitely have to check that one out even tho I burned myself out on Planet Coaster.
Your parks have always looked amazing, and honestly it makes me curious what you could do with an RCT1 park as their scenery was notoriously limited.
Yeah, unfortunately he burnt out quick and hard on koala beach.
I feel kind of bad about never really playing this scenario. I just made a small park then closed and reopened it a bunch. (That exploit has been patched since then, so don't bother trying it.)
When you show off your coasters in the future could you show the ratings? I can guess the decoration rating, (Extreme obviously) but I'm curious about the others.
Nice!!! xD Can you build something like the "Euro-Mir" in the future? Since i know a lot more about Rollercoasters thanks to your videos, that would be kinda interesting
Ik word hier heel erg blij van! Hele gerse serie!
Best park so far! Loving your videos
WAS WAITING FOR THAT FOR SO LONG
glad its here tho
thanks for following the coasters
i’m in love with this series! keep it up!!
Someone get this man a 2080ti and a 9900k.
I agree on the GPU just maybe a threadripper would do better for his rendering :p
@@LisaMiza I have a 970 like him so I feel his pain. It's Finally starting to show its age.
Just got the game. Love watching your vids, but your decorative work confounds me! Any plans to do an informational "Silvarret's Go-To Building Tools: A Guide"? You fly through decorative selection so fast I cant tell how you make the magic work! XD
Love the vids! Thank you!
I didn't consider making tutorials for the game, but you're right, maybe I should! I'll definitely keep it on the buildings side then, I'm not the most knowledgeable about animals... :)
@@Silvarret I know this Parkitect would appreciate it. I'm not too knowledgeable about animals either, but I get the feeling their easier to please than game devs. ;)
Another great parkitect video, love it!
Me when that framerate started dropping: "yep, only game to support a full-map sandbox park in max detail up until now is still openrct2"
I'm interested in Parkitect Coaster College whenever you feel like doing it. Keep up the videos!
Your Parks are so good! I mean like they're fantastic! I got the game, since it reminded me of the old RCT1 game, and I didn't like 3d Planet Coaster Stuff... anyway
Could you probably make some tutorials about building coasters/scenery and stuff like that? My parks tend to be... less beautiful, no matter how hard I try.
Beautifull park again :-)
You should put a vandal execusion pond as an attraction in the park 😉
I know this video is approx 22mo old but Parkitect is still relatively new to most of us. I follow and replicate your builds as best I can (even your coasters) just to teach myself how to build. But I am on this scenario of the campaign and still have not built depots or understand fully how to run a food court a million miles away from it's source. I really wish you would have not skipped this part in every single video, as I am having trouble here.
A depot has to be connected to the large building on the park border via underground pipes, and then shops around the depot have to be specifically assigned to the local depot to receive their goods from there. Hope that helps!
Very lovely how this park turned out. I was wondering whether you could use a panoramic/transport ride in the next park? I'd love to see how you'd incorporate one of these.
I tried to visit the Philippines in the Archipelago map, but was also thwarted by the limited theme (Didn't get medieval structures until late year 2) so I ended up with almost Spanish Colonial. Also, you can create sloped breakruns on many coaster types.
Love the video. Keep up the amazing work! This is a little random but there is an amusement park near where i live. The theme is chocolate and who doesn’t love chocolate. Its Hershey park. Was wondering if you had ever been or plan on going?
Very nice created! The only problem I have compared to RCT2 is that the Inverted Coaster seems to go slower at about 0.75 speed.
Black Mamba`s element is a Jr. Immelmann.
I dunno if I prefer this theme or the previous one...
Both are really nice
YEAAHHH, seeing this thumbnail saved my evening!
Yay you’re back!
Finally new episode ;) It was worth to wait tho :P
One way to improve FPS would be to change, or turn off that Temporal Antialiasign. It might be the best quality AA out there but it's one of the more performance intensive and causes ghosting on fast moving objects when the FPS isn't ideal.
Oh, the topple tower is like El Volador at Bellewaerde. Just seeing my brother's face when he went on it convinced me not to try it lol.
oh thank god, I was starting to get the crackhead shakes again
very inspiring stuff!! Im trying to replicate some designs on my parks! Keep it up! Awesome vids! :D
Woo Denmark. You’re talking about “Ørnen” or “The Eagle” in english which is in ‘Djurs Sommerland’ 😃 🇩🇰
sadly, it "was". They build a new ride in it's spot for the coming season. Unfortunately, this thing was a maintenance nightmare and was more often closed than running over the years.
VPGTube ohh didn’t even realise.. and i live in dk 😂
Love the videos! Do you have your save games uploaded to the Steam Workshop or elsewhere? Or are you planning to? I'd like to see your techniques on some of the decoration / coaster building you've done :)
Absolutly great Series. Keep it up
GTX 970 Gang!
