She was not your normal Kdrama lead. She spoke her mind, she was sensual, she was vulnerable, she was mature and immature at the same time, she was strong but soft. She had qualities of a modern day woman. And her wardrobe was top notch. I found myself looking up all her outfits. They were gorgeous together and I loved their husky voices which is very unusual for a Kdrama woman lead to havw
She is also toxic and manipulative in real life.

I don't know her personally, but there is no smoke without fire. And my god, there is a lot of smoke on this one. Too much evidence against her. Can't turn a blind eye to that either.

I just love the kind of balance they had in this drama, like the female lead is possessive, vocal, bold yet the male lead is serious, sincere and mature. Perfect chemistry! every time they come close, i get goosebumps!
Usually we wish the main leads to act together in another drama or movie, but in this I want everyone , literally everyone who acted in this drama to act again together in another one....

I only watched this series in 2024 and my goodness, what a brilliant body of work!!! I loved this take on mental health issues due to childhood trauma. The protagonists experienced different types of traumas that shaped their world views and how they respond to situations. Most importantly, it was refreshing to see how broken souls found healing in each other as they were able to empathise.

this is path breaking kdrama that broke all the existing stereotypes in terms of story, characters and performances. no cliche love triangle, just focus on lead characters and their relationship. Beautiful drama.

I know everyone always says there fav kdrama is the best but honestly this one... This one realy is such a good show! Loved everyone that was casted. The actor who played autistic did such an amazing job! Everyone acted so well!
I agree with you about how excellent this drama is. It is entertaining, funny, heartwarming, yet personal for me, given I have two younger brothers who are high-functioning yet autistic.
Casting was also very well-done. Seo Yeaji was absolutely fantastic in this drama, regardless of what people think of her. As it happens, I first saw her in _Lawless Lawyer_ , also starring Lee Joongi, one of my favorite actors.
The actress is just awesome. It's my 1st time falling for a female lead.... She just nailed it. Her voice, her dress, her jealousy, her savage replies everything was in fire 🔥

I read somewhere that Hollywood was starting to look at Seo Yea-ji for roles but the problem is that actors act according to what is written on a page. The reason It's Okay to Not Be Okay was so great is because it was written that way. A great actor can't save badly written material. A decent actor can perform better with well written material. The reason this series was so great was that first it was written that way. We understand the characters and their behavior and emotional underpinnings because the writers allowed us to. We could see why they fell in love and what their love did for each other. That understanding is a product of great writing. Something Hollywood is lacking in.

Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji chose the best characters for themselves. It was not an easy drama to portray and pour out emotions through expression, you also have to give 100% in your body language also. In human healing drama's it's not easy to act on, but they did their best...and I'm so proud of them. I hope that they will achieve more in their coming life. And I really wish to watch them in another season (2nd season) of IOTNBO or in some other drama as the leads. Hope for the best❤️

Mun Yeong is the most honest character.. She is brave..To be a child of trauma and to somehow be able to face the world . She is honest ,volatile and more understanding than people know. She sees Gang Tae not because she's lonely but because she sees him. The strongest emotion is the need to be understood and to know someone in the world sees you for who you are. As an child and as a adult he spends so much time wearing a mask and bottling up his feelings. That he is always about to explode. She gives him a place to release the pressure even when she doesn't understand.. And yet she is still fragile and a little lonely girl. In a way they are teaching each other how to live in the world..
I finally decided to give this drama a try and I am so glad I did. I loved the mini stories and characters especially the behaviour of the lead actress. She challenged the stereotypes. Also that first kiss I did not expect after all the fake outs 😂.
I've watched tale of the 9 tailed.. then got hooked to kdramas. Watch around 14 dramas in 2 months. Just completed this one and holy sh*t. This is the best I've watched so far. I've rewatched it 3 times. My goodness my heart

This is that 'one' drama that i was waiting for my whole life! I'm so grateful to the universe that this masterpiece exists. Absolutely in awe of Hyunji! This set the standards so high that I can't even think about watching a new drama. Yea-ji is a goddess. Soo-Hyun's smile can change your life. IOTNBO saved my life, healed me, made me cry, made my heart flutter and gave me a sense of hope. We're all flawed humans and we'll eventually find peace in this chaos.
The role reversal is the best part i guess (apart from their chemistry, the storyline, the past that we all struggle through. and everything else perfect), their Role REVERSAL IS THE BEST 🙌🙌🙌 she keeps chasing him.. so boldly.. he is the one more grounded
