Sebastian that is some golden footage and info, you're a true asset to this sports education, thanks for always sharing I know how much work and prep it takes to get this on video. Digging the podcast as well 👍👍
Hey seabass, thanks so much for the video. Watched it on Friday and went out this morning and finally landed some whitefish!! Used this exact technique and got em on the drifter, they hammered it!
Great video... how would a minnow on a tip-up perform in comparison? Is there ever a time not to use a live minnow on a tip-up? Cheers and thanks again for the excellent video.
From what I've seen , the lake off of Keswick, south of Georgina Island is relatively shallow water, good for perch and pike but not the greatest place for the colder water species. Take a look online for a map of the lake with depths and it will give you an idea. I've heard that 70-90 feet works best, though I imagine that they come shallower at times to water that's adjacent to the deeper spots.
Hi I not to far from simcoe - been fishing in Simcoe for the past 3 years of ice fishing all I've been catching is perch part of me is giving up- if I pay you as a charter will you take me out ? Pls let me know
@@SeabassOutdoors Cool, so you just drop it down on a string?....lol...any chance you could show/tell me how you rigged it up? Oh and thanks for the fast reply!
@@SeabassOutdoors Hey Sebastian... Do you mind sharing how you set up your gopro? I'm guessing a fishing rod, but how do you get to make it sit straight up and turn if need be? (Missing you at the NTGA)
how big/ heavy is your hook? we fish anywhere from 60-130' for them on superior, is it heavy enough to get to bottom and jig effectively at that depth?
Nice video. Where do you buy the Drifters? I'm in Barrie so I have access to Cabelas and Canadian Tire. Haven't gone out on the ice this year yet but I'm hitting up Gloucester Pool on Saturday for crappies and pike.
