Most films are crap because of the story. The technical side can let a good story down, but being a perfect production isn't going to make a crap story a good film. Group of people make a wrong turn, something nasty after them usually in an old house. Something orrible goes bump in the night upstairs in a room you should never go in.......but you always do. It's been done to death and then some. 😵💫
Hitchcock and Sterling kept you guessing until the end and gave you a twist. Even Dahl did the same and that makes films watchable. Without a descent story, what's the point of making a film?❤

@@FilmPunk Probably true and I never thought about that. But personally I would remember a film because of the story than if it had good actors etc in it. I remember bad ones just the same. They send me to bed in a foul mood.
