Unless this guy is from Ethiopia, it is still a foreigner telling a story and I am sure a lot of ethio’s will bitterly contest some of the story he is telling. ‘African narrating an African story’ does sound nice. And he is a great story teller

As a Nigerian i have heard several verses of King Haile Selassie. but the fascinating truth about him was that he was destined by GOD for the mission and then He bring awareness to scattered African Countries and also invented civilization of self recognition to Africans during his Era. He created a united Africa against colonization and invaders. I pray GOD almighty to bring his likes in Nigeria. now we are not under colonial rule but under their manipulation through our politically elected democratic rulers.we need more GOD help in Africa.

😆Don't even trip! The Derg didn't crush anything! The Solomonic Dynasty is alive and well and the Throne of David is Forever.
Yes even in the twenty first century David will continue to slay Goliath! 😊 All glory to the MOST HIGH GOD; for it is God who raised up his servants to defend the Throne of David.
The MOST HIGH will not force himself on his people but they will soon stretch forth their hearts and hands unto GOD. GOD IS NOT MOCKED.
This is delusional perspective on the reign of the Throne of David, the Solomonic Dynasty over Ethiopia, under the shadow of the ALMIGHTY as One Sovereign Christian Nation, obeying the laws and principles of the Most HIGH JAH.
Why do you not talk about how HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY built up the infrastructure of Ethiopia? Why do you not talk of the schools that he built?.
Why do you NOT speak of the universities that he built; bringing free education to the people of Ethiopia? Why this skewed perspective of where Ethiopia stood with regard to the rest of the African continent... they were far advanced in a building of roads and infrastructure under the rule of HIM Emperor Haile Selassie I. Why not speak on all of the amenities that were put into place by the Solomonic Dynasty, this ruling class and His Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I. Why do you not speak the TRUTH on how his majesty Emperor Haile Selassie, with an educated and strong Nation, built through the powers of the Most HIGH, brought Ethiopia into the Modern Age of technological advancements.
Why do you not mention that? 🤔 there is a thing called sellouts, like those that took advise against the Ethiopian Monarchy of the Solomonic Dynasty; that kept Ethiopia undefeated and Sovereign for over 3,000 years; it came from European powers without, that bought their influence to a rebellious generation influenced by lies and false propaganda against the Throne. European powers could not defeat the Throne of David or the solomonic Dynasty's is rule over Ethiopia from without; so they attempted to infiltrate and come in as they are doing to this day. Prophecies are fulfilling, it is all playing out before our eyes like an Epic Movie.
The Throne of David is forever and the kingdom of God will reign on Earth.
Spoiler alert... God wins in the end.😊

Good documentary, with missing some key facts
    Observations:
    1. Haile Selassie - even during his challenging days, was never a big proponent of torture. Even people who are not his fans can attest to that (even during the time when the young revolutionaries were on the verge of toppling him, only one university student got killed). Please compare his precedessors. Night and day.
    2. 1974 hunger was more prevalent in Wello (Amhara region) than to Tigray
    3. External forces had played key role in the background toppling of the king. Please read Henry Kissinger's plan and strategy in CIA declassified documents
    4. The story about his lavish 80th birthday versus the famine story has been greatly exaggerated both internally and externally to damage his name forever.
Overall Haile Silassie is widely respected by most Ethiopians whether they love him or hate him.. because he was a wiseman who was in the reign of power when Ethiopia needed a man like him. He had several shortcomings, however most of it is due to hundreds years of issues in social dynamics that resulted deposing monarchs in Africa, Europe and elsewhere. It's worth thinking about that the Emperor would've been aware, due to his times, of the fallen, ignoble state of the many European kings deposed and in exile during and after World War I. It would have stuck with him, seeing former rulers like himself living in relative penury on "another's brass" in a permanent state of ever-thinner hope. His short period of the same state would've cemented his resolve to never give up his throne voluntarily, knowing the life that awaited him if he did. It's impossible to know the Emperor as a man, their lives are different from birth; but It's fair to surmise that the 20th century Golgotha of monarchy in general was often on his mind; and he would do whatever he could to evade it.
