  • Shooting blackpowder is a lot of fun but traditionally time consuming and can take a lot of cleanup. Converting your reproduction revolver with the help of Taylor's & Company can solve these issues.

China Grove NC here. Love BP revolvers ever since I got my first from EMF through the mail way back in 1976, an 1860 Army brass frame .44. Now I have quite a few in my collection, some conversion but most not. Just ordered a Kirst conversion with loading gate for my 1860 Army .44 snub nose. Great vid!

I have the same basic setup for my Uberti 1851 Navy "London" model in .36 caliber. This allows me to shoot .38 specials (my reloads) using the conversion cylinder. I purchased my revolver and the conversion cylinder at he same time from MidwayUSA. Great fun!

I would go for a real cartridge conversion pistol. As said below, costs the same as pistol/cylinder but far less hassle and wear with constant disassembly/reassembly. Also gives me a reason to pick up another set of pistols! My first 38 Special (S&W K-15 Combat Masterpiece) revolver was purchased when a friend gave me a box of ammo. Needed SOMETHING to shoot that ammo with!

    • @denisdegamon8224

Again, lead bullets move down the barrel with greater ease and less pressure than jacketed bullets.

It came that way from Uberti. Look up Uberti 1860 Army images and you’ll see the screw head on the right side.
