I love my 92s I got from Classic firearms. I was at first a little disappointed because I paid for the hand select and the condition wasn’t the best. Also mine had a really worn out recoil spring so it didn’t feed properly. I purchased a brand new Beretta recoil spring and guide rod for $20 and the gun works like new. Great purchase
In 2007 and 2008 we [3 of us engineers at work] were getting 2004 manufactured Beretta 92S pistols from Century Arms for $240 + $15 shipping and FFL. But here was a shortage of 92S magazines. I converted 92F magazines to 92S or 92F, by milling an extra retainer slot in the magazine. It turns out the magazines are hardened steel. I had to mill with carbide end mills. IN 2012 we got M12 holsters from Wideners for $15
thank you, I got 1 end February I do believe mine was never fired or if so not much my serial no is later than yours and there is a slight bend on magazine butt. Holster marks is all I can see. Classic Firearms is great

That's a very clean 92S! When I received mine, it had the Italian policeman's name on a sticker stuck underneath the barrel-"El Gran Guido", I kid you not! John in Texas
let everyone know a taurus 17 round mag will fit and work in the 92S taurus started out with that cut when they moved the release they kept the original cut in the mag and you can down load the langdon kit
Almost forgot, but the NOS Beretta mags that Classic were selling awhile back were brand new-at least the ones I received! An amazing value-John in Texas
I ordered a Beretta 92s after watching Classic Firearms videos. The pistols had been available for years before I ordered. The pistol I received was in cosmetically poorer condition than anything I saw on the videos. Thankfully, internally the pistol seemed in good condition. I then read the reviews for the Beretta 92s on the Classic Firearms website. People were receiving pistols in worse condition than mine. I have ordered surplus pistols from Classic Firearms previously. I don't think I will be ordering anymore surplus pistols from Classic Firearms.. They should have at least 3 grades for their surplus firearms.
I like your relaxed down to earth style. I’m always amazed by the perception that you have to film an unloaded gun and prove it’s unloaded as you start the video. If the gun went off and actually shot the camera the viewers would escape death. Unless they are so sensitive that they die from fear. I’m trying to decide - should I buy the 92S or keep saving and put the money towards a 92FS INOX.
Thanks Gary. I like to show the gun being unloaded to reinforce gun safety but I have gotten some weird comments about pointing a gun at the camera. The 92S will serve you well but if you want night sights or replaceable sights I’d go with the Inox.
How'd it go at the range? Hopefully the promags weren't unreliable, that's what I heard about them. I got factory beretta mags for $23 a piece. BTW, for the sights, they aren't too bad actually if you paint them. On mine I made 3 dots with white nail polish, then put a smaller red dot inside that white dot on the front sight only. Made a huge difference and is easy to pick up.
I thought it was refreshing to see a man handle a gun with ammunition safely, the way it’s supposed to be handled. No politically correct - this Gun is safe nonsense. We are not in the same room with him. Don’t worry we are safe.
Just be aware this model does not have the later (I guess you call it) hammer block safety and if you try to ride the hammer down on a chambered round you might get a surprise!!! Requires more careful handling than an M9 or FS.
@@ncshootist Well my shield just sits in the closet. I edc a few glocks and a M2.0 compact 40...My hands also swallow the gun and makes it more of a chore to shoot. Its fine but like you said I can shoot much better with my barking [expensive to have fun] G33 than the Shield. Plus I kinda like the more talking points with the 92S' back story. Italy etc..
Hi, I ordered a gun that looks almost exactly like yours and I have noticed something that I wanted to share with you and ask your opinion about it. The slide on your gun as well as mine have the look of a parkerized finish as opposed to the regular finish that we see on the beretta 92 pistols which is a a glossy bluing. This makes me think that the slide was refinished unless the parkerized finish was a special production. If it’s the case where the slide was refinished, is it still considered a good to very good grade. Thanks.
As far as I know, the 92S came with a traditional blued finish and the Bruniton (shiny black) finish was introduced with the model 92F which was the design right before the 92FS (M9). The slides might have been refinished but I don't think that would affect the NRA grading system. 92s is my favourite of all the berettas, quite a lot of interesting history on this particular model too

Thanks Sirvando! The U.S. Army now carries the Sig Sauer M17 which is really the P320. Time will tell if it holds up as well as the Beretta.

I’ve read some of the reviews where people got pistols that were kinda rough cosmetically. Have you thought about Cerakote and some new grips?

great video.. Id have to put a paint dot on the sight. So does anyone know what the hole in the hammer is used for . The de cocker is a nice feature
I had to paint the front and rear sights. Black on black doesn’t register with my eyes to well. I’m not sure what the hole in the hammer is for.

Sorry for the delay in response. I'm pretty sure the 92 series (S, FS, etc) use the same barrel but do your research first.

Depends on what you need it for. The Shield is going to be much more concealable but I will say I can shoot the 92S better than the Shield.

Disassembly…and review. You could always fast forward to skip the parts you don’t need.
