What Headphones Do You Use? Here we are Day 3 at AES with Genelec and their new headphone system with GLM! Plus we take a look at the John Lennon Songwriting bus which has a full Genelec Atmos system built in!
Great video Warren! Thanks for taking us around AES!
You're very welcome!
Ooh exciting! A mobile recording rig like that would be such a dream job and life for Sam and I. Ah to dream lol. Thanks for the video Warren!
Very true indeed!
That’s a really cool bus‼️💯👍🏿👍🏿
It certainly is!
Thanks for the great look around AES Warren
Thanks ever so much!
Excellent video series on AES!
Glad you liked them!
and ANOTHER great adventure in audio exploration with Warren and AAAARRRIIICCCK! has concluded- lots of fun and even some informative bits thrown in 😄 thank you as always for taking us along - be well guyz
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is sooo cool! I’ll try to get that headphones unit early next year! I still use a pair Genelec 1030As!
Marvellous! Thanks for sharing!
I was hoping for a John Lennon vintage bus channel complete with ADT and slap!
Haha stay tuned for the Jack Douglas video coming soon!
Great to see the new GLM coverage. Would have been great to see a visit to the Telegrapher booth too!
That must’ve been an amazing experience to listen to Avalon in immersive with Bob Clearmountain at Power Station!!❤
It was INCREDIBLE!!
The bus looks like a good thing to do in John's name. I approve! 😊
Yes, agreed 100%!
🔥
Thanks ever so much!
Love that bus :)
Marvellous
Very interesting video, thank you! I'm from Finland and I have a pair of Genelec 8030C :)
Thanks for watching!
Still need some headphones very much like this. Note to go shopping deeper in the Genelec stuff.
Marvellous! Thanks for sharing!
Interesting … more money for me to spend … how the heck did they setup the Genelec monitors in that space? It’s massive and not quiet for GLM calibration.
They are are Ultra Nearfield Monitors so they sounded great where I was sitting!n
@@Producelikeapro Agree, my 8351B and 7350A are amazing, well worth the $10K … the GLM module and software work well but this combination looks interesting. Any issues with the headphones not being open back? I typically mix on HD 650 thru Rupert’s headphone amp (open back) using 8351B/7350A to make small adjustments.
@@robainscough thanks ever so much for sharing!!
Amazing
Thanks ever so much!
Here I am thinking I'm about to get John Lennon's Buss settings 🤦♂🤦♀
Haha stay tuned for some John Lennon talk with Jack Douglas from the Audeze booth at AES
I was there. Headphones sounded great. Genelecs didn’t impress me at all. I was shocked.
Sorry confused, they sounded great but they didn't impress you?
@@Producelikeapro To be clear. The headphones sounded great. But you need to use the controller. To integrate that controller into my system isn’t feasible. The speakers weren’t as good as I expected and they were on my short list for my small room. I went to the Ex Machina booth right after that and was blown away. Both concentric speakers. Genelecs were weak in the bass and seemed slightly smeared. The Ex Machina were incredible. Detailed. Tight. Amazingly large sweet spot. I’m waiting to go to Brooklyn for a more extensive demo. Hope this clears it up.
@@larryh1843 thanks for sharing! I do love the Genelecs and of course Ex Machina make great speakers too! For me it's just a personal preference!
Weres audeze?
Stay tuned!
So you gotta lug a giant DAC around just to use your headphones accurately? I don't get the purpose of them then...
So it's just soundid 😂
You should look GLM and get a better idea of it.
@@Producelikeapro check out the new m audio speakers my mix translated perfect to my car
@@subwooferroads Cool! Will do!
They got STAM audio compressor ! Take notes guys, Stam make pretty much the best clones
Maybe he gave them one? Either way they would waited a year and if it stopped working they might wait another year to get it fixed!
@@timbrown7652 LOL very true
Marcel, where are you hiding? I mean that chick is good but my buddy marcel is not there.
That’s no ordinary chick - that’s IZZY
@@willburrito9710and Izzy is great!
@@willburrito9710 agreed!!! Izzy is very cute.
I really appreciate everything Warren and his friends have done over the years, but I have to say, the channel has slowly morphed into an infomercial. FAQ Fridays, song breakdowns (with artist/producer), etc. are sorely missed these days.
Yeah but you should post this comment when Its the case not when Its AES
@@DarkTrapStudio trap music is trash and so is your comment, "duhhh i agree wit u butttt like breh the compressor tho"
Hmm before the AES videos the last videos were:- Shure review with full multi tracks and mix breakdown, Guitar Effects Mixing techniques video, Optical Compressor video, the great Ken Scott interview, Mixing Low End video etc. Only 2 reviews in the last 10 videos and we always try to education things! Happy to more FAQ Friday videos!
That's not really true and whenever Warren does a review he actually uses the gear, records with it, gives the multipacks away and shows you how he recorded it and mixed it
I think there's already enough information on almost every topic out there that Warren's channel and other people on RUclips have covered which should take care of any needs. There's no point in regurgitating the same ideas repeatedly just in a new 4K video
