In his 43 Tom looks incredibly young. And the new album is really good and Keane-ish in some way, probably in its lovely, catchy and simple harmonies. It takes a certain time to fall in love with it deeper though

I think that when we are born, we are at that place in the universe already. Than the world comes in, or you come into the world. And there are people and creatures that pull you down, further and further. At school, friends, family, neighbours, society, ect. Slowly you are pushed under in work at least. Scheduales, bosses, managers, partners, children. Until you end up in that black hole. And than there is no way up again. Only in a huge process what you have to do alone, soul searching. But others took away your soul when you were a child. Brothers, sisters, everyone makes you less than them. And there you go....
Do you know that if you change for the better, that you can lose the people you are with, because they don't change with you? What level do you think a partner has, who wants to stay with an addict in her life? It's pretty sad ain't it? So it tells everything about her value as a human being to stay in such a low vibration with somebody. She never wants to be with a healthy partner. But if you change and become healthy, you change a lot. And many people who were used to you, will not survive the change. Only if they are with you for your fame and fortune.
Tom I love this album...I've listened so many times and this personal commentary will add a new dimension. Your perceptive observations and honesty resonate with so many of us...thank you so much for sharing. 😊

To me, the development with keane was sure to happen. You could tell from afar. Tom Chaplin is a melancholic. But also fiercely independant. Something about him did not sit well with his people.
I just found out you diffamed people who don't trust the pfizer vaccination. This shocked me very much, so so disappointed. I'm a true fan of you and Keane- for many years. I never thought you would do this, I'm sad and don't know yet how to deal with this. My point of you was always a different one. My heart is broken.
