"Why not both" I don't think people in HK have the space for two Civics that are so similar. If I had the space and I were a Civic fan, I would have at most one EG. I personally like EP3 and FD2 much more.
Not bad, tho keeping a regular Civic hatch mostly original is pointless, as its chassis is capable of so much more, not unless the owner doesn't want to improve his skill, and not to mention, price appreciation of any non-R Civic's, won't increase as quickly as their R siblings, so back to my original comment with your EK coverage, owning an EK9 Type-R is more than enough.
