Awesome 😁 currently down here in Cornwall and after something that grips better and these seem perfect for alternative terrains down here. Awesome video 🤘🏼ride on!!!
Thanks for the review, I'm due a new set and these keep getting recommended and I think you've sealed the deal. Michelin should give you some commission :)
That's great to hear the review has been of use 😀 I was the same - kept hearing about them and finally gave them a go. I thought I had the dream set up before but this has definitely won me! Hope you enjoy them - I'm sure you will. Hehe that would be a great but probably a dream I guess!
great informative vid ...have these tyres on my hardtail ,front and rear ,and they are very grippy in the slop too ,which helps when you live in scotland ....lol
Good sales pitch!, to be fair i really am going to try one soon, as have been considering the michelin for a while, keep up the great vids some good content.
Been running the Michelin Gum X for a year now , just replaced the rear tyre with a front as bigger knobs are making the difference and still role well.
I was hearing the same from a friend a few weeks ago! Good call. I’m thinking about doing that for the winter months or even trying the mud version up front and seeing how that is
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB first time out on the Michelin wild enduro today at a sloppy Glentress... Awesome grip and more confidence in the corners.. Glad I watched your wee review.. Thanks 🤟
@@aporterfield36 That's great to hear! I can imagine it must have been a proper slop fest there after the rain, especially on some of the newer stuff! Exactly the experience I had - so much more confidence!
@@SidiNic they are suuuper grippy in the dry. I don’t run this tire combo anymore but when I did I was riding mainly dry conditions, and they are super grippy
In a year and a half riding around 3 times a week I've only had one. I find the sidewalls a lot tougher than others. Taken it down the downhill world cup track and loads of harsh rocky stuff in the UK with no problems at all. Had some heavy hits but the tyre takes it
I’ve got a dhf on the front and just ordered a wild enduro gum x for the rear..do you think this combo will work well, also in Scotland always round ae forest etc?
Ah you’ll love the rear wild enduro! In my opinion and from past experience - if it’s natural muddy stuff then something with taller knobs will cut through the mud better than the dhf and will be a better combo. If it’s more hard pack or drier then the dhf should do fine. I’ve ridden the muddy stuff at ae recently after putting a Michelin front gum x on and it bit really well with pretty amazing grip! Over winter something like this or of this profile would be my front tyre of choice. Hope that helps!
Great review, just got a set myself - although I'm running the Rock R2 out back. Just curious what pressures are you running? Although I guess you would be significantly lighter than me.
Thanks! Great :) I'm tubeless so works great for lower pressures. If it's muddy i'm usually about 18 front 21 back and if it's hard pack/rocky i go about 20 front and 24 back - seems to work well for me. My other half is similar maybe slightly more on the rocky stuff and he's about 75/80kg.
Quite a few online retailers have them like chain reaction cycles. Best thing to do is check your local shop or google and see what’s in stock. They are quite popular at the moment so may be sold out in some places!
I’ve been running them for a year , magi x front , gum x rear . Awesome grippy tyres , but note , not the fastest rolling . The gum x front v magi x front is another can of worms :) the magi x is a much harder tyre that works well in warm conditions.
Nice! Yeah I started running the front gum x not long after reviewing the back and it's fantastic! Where I ride its usually always muddy so it's worth a small sacrifice with the rolling resistance for the confidence you get on the descents. I think the magi x is quite good for some of the harder packed fast stuff but trying out both! Love them :)
Fell out with my bontrager tyres absolutely garbage went maxxis minion front highroller 2 rear didn't like them like sitting on two deflated balloons next was magic Mary up front Hans damn rear now they were a good combo but I went and got myself some new wheels got new wheels may as Well have new tyres right enter stage right the Michelin wild enduro front and rear and what a set of performers they've been solid ain't gonna lie buggers to get on my rims both 2.4 in the gum X compound no amount magic x compound is gonna make me go any faster it is what it is any way definitely the best front tyre I've owned grippy af ps if you happen to be looking for cheap but goooooood tyre inserts rimpact are well worth it
Awesome! Yeah they are a cut above the rest :) I did actually find them a little more awkward to get on the rims than maxxis like you say (they didn’t stay in the centre of the well as easy) but perhaps the stiffer casing is why. Worth it tho. I’ve been running rimpacts since the spring and they really are great aren’t they?! Nice to not have to worry about any dings and just ride!
Unfortunately michelin doe not make a 2.3 tire and I hate 2.4. 2.3 are much more snappy and fun and precise. 2.4 are just boring, safe stable but boring as hell.

Thanks. They are great. The joys of year round mud hehe - always has to be the number 1 consideration!
Just ordered the front and rear Wild Enduros for my Trance 2 to replace the stock Maxxis High Roller 2's. Thanks for the review.
That’s great! You’re welcome. Hope you enjoy them 👍
Just stuck a set on to replace my MM HD combo and they're awesome, loads more confidence in the corners.
totally! Thought they would be good but didn't expect them to be that good. The cornering is fantastic :D
Great content, nice and unbiased review, the positives and the negatives.
Thanks!
Great vid. Have been running these for about eight months. Without a doubt the best tyres I have used.
they really are - I'm still blown away by them! They just grip so well. Had them in some really sloppy conditions recently and felt pretty reassured!
Good sales pitch!, to be fair i really am going to try one soon, as have been considering the michelin for a while, keep up the great vids some good content.
Haha thanks. I was the same... spent weeks thinking about what tire to go for but very happy with my choice! Cheers will do, loving making them!

No probs. Enjoy the grip :) you won’t be disappointed!

I run a dhf in the front and the wild enduro rear specific tire with the gum x compound on the black
Nice combo 👍
Going to try this combo out now. How is it in the dry though with summer coming up?

Enjoyed the review, much to consider 👊
Kevin Wood ah that’s great to hear it’s useful. Tires are a bit of a minefield!
I ran those for like 7 months with tubes in and didn’t puncture once. Casing is pretty good
Ideal! Yeah the casing is really impressive :)
What about puncture resistance

Wild Enduro front and the new Wild AM 2 rear is THE combination for Scotland/Lake District 👍
I've heard that Wild AM is really good! Hopefully try it at some point!
i ran/run the front on the front and rear on my trail bike tor the last year, super grippy!!and lasted way longer than the Maxxis cheese
Great! Yeah I’m finding them pretty robust! So much riding in the last few weeks and they look like new and zero punctures :D I’m converted!
I’m the same setup front and rear on the Crush and it works well , running a Shorty on the front of the knolly with a dhr rear , phenomenal grip .

Is there29 x 2.6 of this tire model?
As I understand there’s just a 2.4 available in 29 inch for this
Where can I buy these tires?

How much money does it cost?
depends on where you get them from but usually around £40 or so if that helps
