I had just ordered two 115H units -- got a great deal on them new for $850 each as scratch and dent units. Since the seller is a Dealer, I just called and managed to catch them just before shipping to add these boards by them. That should avoid any voiding of the warranty. Should be a good improvement and thanks for the video about it!
My dealer in Belgium installed a board out of the box this week. Now I see that he installed the 2G-3G version with -07 i.s.o. -11 at the end of the part number. Thanks for your video, I will contact him and ask to exchange, as in the near future 3G will not be supported here any more.
It seems that the 2g 4g module is not delivered in Europe, only in the USA And Australia. This was the message of husqvarna Brussels to my dealer. As 2g will stay as standaard as it seems to be used for a lot of IOT this will not be a problem in Europe. In the usa, 2g is not available everywhere, so they need a 4g module. Or is this a trick of husqvarna to get their old modules sold? No idea.
@@EshlemaniaTV Yea, figured it wouldn't be a major upgrade but just being able to tie it into my smarthome set-up will be a nice improvement. If my local dealer updates the firmware once I get it can I add the board on later or does it need to be activated in autocheck 3 at the time of install regardless of what firmware it has?
I have 2 305 mowers for some reason I can pair one mower fine then when I pair the second mower the mower I first paired says disconnected in the app and the last mower I paired is paired really weird so will ask my dealer what they think.
I am in the market for a 430x. If I buy a new automower at the dealer. Does it come with the 4g boards as of now ? Thanks for the videos, always enjoyable

Hey Eshell. At 6:22 You said a 300 series motor with a 3G board allready in there. So what do you mean by that? Do I have boards in each of my stock 310's?? I don't need to purchase a board from a dealer? Just have it activated? I bought 4 new 310' less than a year.
I do have an additional question about two functionalities of Automower Connect: first the geofence. Looking at Google Maps , I see no difference between sensitivity high and mid, the same circle is show. Low is indeed a larger geofence area. Is this normal? Also, the sms function is not working, I cannot get a test sms signal. So I tried and drove around with my 420 with automower connect kit installed in my car and crossed the geofence line. The mower produced a high pitch alarm sound and I got a mail, but no sms.
If you get the firmware updated to the latest, can you DIY the module install after the update? Or would you still need the dealer for the software? Only ask because I'd like to do one long round trip over two long round trips.
If a Connect board is installed the software will need to be updated again after the board is installed. This is the case with mowers that came with a Connect board and mowers that did not come with a Connect board. Any time a new Connect board is installed in a mower the software needs updated for it to work properly
My dealer also added this board already to a 450 and put in the existing sim from my 2g board. I just got it back Friday but it won’t pair - almost as though data isn’t passing or the apn is different now. Previously the network listed was T-Mobile - now is it telenor - in Massachusetts - SMS works but not able to pair. Welcome any suggestions - otherwise I will bring it back to the dealer this coming week.
Does this kit help the unit find the charger easier? Seems like my 115h has a hard time finding the charger in the big area of my yard. I’m considering doing a guide wire loop around but I’d rather just get this kit if it’ll help.

Nope, sorry it will not. That feature is currently only available on the AWD models. Not sure if there are any plans for that feature to be available to any of the other current or previous models, but time will tell.

Husqvarna offered a free upgrade to the 2G/3G card last year so most people here in North America have the 3G card now

Yes it is! The card will give you connectivity in the 115H and GPS tracking for theft prevention, but not GPS mowing.

At this point there is not a HUGE advantage over 3G, but at the rate everything is advancing it probably won't be long before 3G is obsolete.

Yes, this is the Automower Connect board. If they installed this board and updated everything then you should have Automower Connect working on your mower.

It would probably need a different Connect board since the SIM card is now a part of the Connect board.

Probably best to buy a brand new board rather than one your dealer has filmed himself dropping several times and uploaded to his RUclips channel.
These boards we used in this video were all defective or obsolete. Even the new 4G board was one that had a SIM card error and had to be removed.
