Different brands will work better for different dancers based on foot shape, flexibility, strength, habits, and of course preference. So her rating them wouldn't be particularly helpful for most people because no two dancers are the same

I think it would be cool to see what Claudia thinks, but the thing is her feet are going to be different from all of ours, and different brands will have different opinions from each person, so I don't know if a dancer will become biased from hearing specifically what Claudia fits in pointe shoe-wise. That may not be good. What she thinks about herself in them will not benefit you at all, you will need to have the opinions of professionals seeing the shoes on your feet to get a good idea of what is good for you

Usually people wear bullet pointe skirts on their hips, at least from what I've seen! I was told wearing a short skirt on your hips makes your legs look longer (as opposed to the popular thought that high wasted skirts make your legs look longer, which they can in some instances but not in ballet).
I also think the 'low cut' leotards are a very American aesthetic. All of the fashionable American ballet students on Tiktok and RUclips have very low cut leotards (with very high cut legs) to make their torsos look smaller.

Learning ballet in the late 60s, I grew up using leather Repetto flats. When I went back to ballet class last year, after a 39 years hiatus, I sewed new elastics on the last white leather Repettos I had bought, years ago, which had not seem much action and were still ok.... My teacher got one look at them and suggested I try "softer" shoes... So I bought from my school store a pair of Capezio Hanamis... I think I will never change for any other flats ! They are amazingly supple, comfortable, like a second skin ! They make your feet look so good ! So I have bought another pair in black. Great shoes ! I have to admit that both clothes and shoes have evolved tremendously since the late 70s, when I had stopped taking classes. Back then it was mostly black or pink very basic leotards and tights, leather flats and pink knitted cardigans and leg warmers. Nowadays, there is so much variety in cuts, colors and materials ! I splurged on gorgeous Capezio and Bloch leotards ! Although, as a quite busty lady, I do find it hard to house my assets in a comfortable yet firm environnement. It's a drag trying to find a dance bra that holds enough volume yet stays discreet. I guess dancers are not supposed to have boobs !

That red chiffon wrap skirt brought back soon many memories. I'm in my late thirties so when I danced, it was in those short wrap chiffon skirts. Color to match your leotard (Mirella) to denote class level. This was long enough ago that we had to cut our own holes in the foot of our tights for pointe. I don't remember them being commercially available any other way.
I miss dancing!!! If it weren't for the multiple labral tears in both of my hips, I'd go back even now. Not at the same level obviously, but some kind of adult class. Just thinking about it put a smile on my face.

So comfy that i wear them around my house...agree with you with the lucky Leo leotards...i bought two and ended up only wearing them once and selling them as they they were too short in the torso . I’ve always worn at adult large because of my long torso, and the lucky Leo’s ended up cutting into my shoulder (so much so i got red marks 😢). And the arm holes were way too small for me too. Capezio i found is the best length for my torso, but my favourite Leo of all is eleve!

People know you and your brand stand thogether, you know? And I think, that one can grow so much better with feedback.

Ohhh I know why now... I've got 3 of your aurora leotards. I loved the fabric but the bust line was just too low for me... Now watching you review the wear moi Leo of the similar style, I think I know why. It might not be because the bust size(I'm a E/F cup... ), but rather because we have different "shoulder to bust" measurements. Mine is really short (busts comes up higher), like my wedding dress maker told me. And unfortunately with a tiny waist down there, I'd like more fabric up high for my boobs too. So I think that's why I felt the aurora leo bust line is way too low for me, but wear moi is just perfect. 🤔 So it's not aurora Leo's problem it's my body being difficult. 😅

My teacher likes bullet point skirts because they are short, so she can see what we are doing and correct us better (she also doesn’t really like when we wear Extras like shorts and leg warmers although she does allow it in some classes). I like the bullet point skirts because I have slightly shorter and larger legs so when I wear it with a high cut Leo it gives an illusion that my legs are longer.

All dancers I know own the warm-up booties because they protect your shoes from the elements and whenever you walk across the parking-lots they don't get wet. Those booties are kind of like snowshoes. They're just great to have, and you can slip them over ballet shoes - they fit fine - and go out to dinner after class or walk around after a dress rehearsal. They're really handy and very popular.

Seamstress here: I think I would rec cutting a slit in that under layer of the wish tutu (or actually getting rid of it). It rides up awkwardly and I think it's just the wrong shape but it's wish so like overall still a win. I think that's why romantics often use briefs or nothing in their design instead of underskirts.

My Grand daughter is 9 and 58-60 lbs. she has a long torso. We bought a lucky leo adult xs and it is a front zip. It fits her. So I think they run small.

I get camp slippers from Anaconda for half the price of warm up booties from dance brands. Does the same job for half the price.
There are no leotards designed for anyone with a bust or a butt. Dancers come in all shapes and sizes and it's about time manufacturers stopped catering only to the stereotype.

I think if you get the right style for you, then your Luckyleo will be your favourite leotard.

I think I had that exact style of capezio leotard in about 2003.

Omg I know exactly what you mean about the Wear Moi leotard, it happens with other brands too. I feel like there's not enough space between the top of the leo and the bust 'line' and I don't even have big boobs!!

The bullet pointe skirt is often called a SAB (School of American Ballet) skirt

That bulletpoint skirt has a large waist for a small and a short length! (I've never owned one but everyone else I know has them, I've seen them plenty) I feel like I've seen many longer skirts than that one.

Pro tip: If you’re ordering Hanamis online, order at least 2 sizes up (but if you have a dance store near you, go to try them on because their sizing is super tricky)

I prefer eleve leotards because they have better patterns and less people wear them so they are more unique.

I have several Bullet pointe skirts, and I have the same problem with the size. I think they're just a little too short. I wear a size small in most everything, but I've learned that with Bullet pointe, it works to order a medium and fold the waistband over once or twice. That way, it's a better length, and folding it over helps with it being too big in the waist!
