I have so many journals started that when I get bored or stuck with no where to go that I start looking at my other journals to work on. So many journals to work on and lots and lots of papers or whatever to have fun with...
Diane, it was so much fun to look through your junk journals. I made one awhile back, and seeing yours prompted me to take mine out and look through it again. I also have sheet music and lovely crinkly paper from a restaurant basket, and favorite scriptures. My cover is made from scraps I had left over after making a quilt, but I might try using a book sometime in the future. Thanks for sharing!
+grace day Thank you for your comment. I am always afraid that it will be boring for people to look at my "junk" but I always love seeing what others do. So thanks for the encouragement. Enjoy your "junk"!
Diane, I love this junk journal ... And you are so right, making a junky junk journal is actually almost therapeutic, I've just made on myself my very first one, and loved it, your video has given me soooo much inspiration for the next one ... I'll have to remember to collect my stamps, fantastic idea as tabs ... Love this .. TFS
Diane, I love how you save all of this and enjoy it. I love your idea of using your rubber stamps. I have so many stamps I bought on impulse because I liked them, but find I have nothing to use them for. I have papers and pieces that I have held onto because I like how they make me feel. Then my husband says I should get rid of "all that junk". I like that you make no apologies for making something out of what some people would call trash, not only that but anyone can see how much you like and enjoy the books you have made. I am really enjoying going through all your videos. Thanks for sharing!
OMG this is one of my new favorites. That was incredible. I love your style and use of junk. I too worked for Am Greetings and have incorporated a lot of my supplies and product into my journals. Love, love, love this. TFS
Very nice journal Dianne.. I never knew that there were Boyds Bears rubber stamps!!! I am a Boyds bears and hares collector along with Boyds Dolls of yesteryear. I do not buy them anymore but still have my collection. I will have to now look to see if I can find some Boyds Bears stamps!! I just love them!
Just what I was looking for...like when it shows what is done, rather than telling a lot beforehand...My old patience & attention span is limited..Very nice and lots of fun!!..I try to ask for clean tissues, bags, boxes wherever we eat, too.. Most will give you a take out menu, too.
diane, i'm sorry I didn't tell you how much I liked your journal.. I love some of your items you used, I also saved a mcdonalds French fry container and then I ended up throwing it in the garbage. Now that I see how cute yours looks, i'll be trying it again ..thanks so much for sharing your goodies!!!
Very interesting, I love to see the way other people incorporate "used goods". I like the idea of the sacks separating the signatures and love the old images.
I love to watch your channel. I do a similar thing with an old book. Sure helps me to relax and be creative. Really helps me to both be creative and to use up some of my "stuff"
Diane, I love seeing journals made from things around the house. Your journal is fantastic! I know most of us who have been doing paper crafts for many years have a nice stash to work with. The beautiful book that you used for journal is gorgeous and I agree I would leave as they are as they are so lovely. Also glad to see you used it and wrote in it! So many make fabulous journals but they are never used, I have used everyone I have made! lol Thanks so much for sharing :) Cindy JJJ'ies
diane, I saw a tutorial where they made a booklet with the empty tim holtz chip board with the wire on it you showed. They glued paper onto the left over tabs, where you tore off the stickers or whatever was on this tim holtz booklet.. and you end up with another booklet.. this is hard to describe..
+michele odstrcilek Sorry, Michele, I just saw this comment (5 months later!) That sounds pretty cool. It's amazing what people think of to do with "junk"! Thanks for watching.
Is there anything you CAN'T do??? :):):) You are just about the most creative and talented person I've seen!! God bless you for using your talents! I especially love that you write your favorite bible verses. Food for the soul! ):)
+Lori (Just A Girl From The Bay) Thank you, Lori. We are not quite moved in yet, and certainly not settled! And, yes, I took my bin of junk! What would a junk journal junkie do without the junk?
+Sarah Sayer Thank you, Sarah. I think they are addictive. They aren't all as "junky" as these, but the junky ones are really fun to put together and use.
Yay scripture verses! I also asked for a clean paper from Chipotle that has the guacamole recipes on it! I love your book. Do you teach how to do signatures?
I don't normally do tutorials. But showing how to make a signature may be short enough that I could do one. Maybe I'll try to do that. Thank you for watching my videos, and for commenting.
I love your book and am trying so hard to understand how to make one like this! Do you write in yours? I love so much "stuff", but being such a structured person, I can't make mine look like this! Do you have any comments about how you chose what to use where?
I freaking LOVE this book! To me, this is the DEFINITION of a junk journal! Absolutely filled with such a variety of stuff, and the writing on parts of it really is what makes this video extra good. I often can't visualize where the writing should be but this really illustrates it. Video flip-throughs that have mostly empty pages are really uninteresting to me, but this one is totally what I aspire to do. THANK YOU for this video, I enjoyed every minute of it!
How did you put the book together or was it already a book that you covered and added stuff too? Sorry I'm new to this and want to find stuff and make one for me. I have TONS of scrapbooking stuff and don't really know what to do with it. I mean I have made 12x12 scrapbooks before and I'm working on one now but I want to do something without pics, that don't have to be perfect (because I have OCD), And with paper because I have tons of different size scrapbook paper, especially the 12x12 and some have weird patterns or weird stuff on them so I dont' know what to do with them.
Hi, no I don't mind you asking. I take Clomipramine that's the generic name and the Official or whatever you want to call it is Anafranil. It's the main pill for OCD and the only one for just OCD. And it does work to an extent and makes it better but I still have symptoms but some did go away and some days are better than others but it drives me crazy and it's weird how I didn't have it, well I probably didn't have the symptoms yet until I was about 30 and it makes me so indecisive that it drives me crazy. If you have any other questions that I might can help you with feel free to ask, I don't mind at all. Like I said it doesn't work for all of my symptoms but it lessens some and some things went away but not all. I hope this helps.
+Niki Reynolds I am also 30y, I am taking ecitalopram for anxiety disorder but I have OCD (I personally think)but ecitalopram did same with my problem, somedays are good some are bad but much better than before...I guess when my stomach gets sick ,the OCD gets worse ty for reply
Hi, well I'm 41 now but around 30 is when I started noticing it, I think. Just tell your doctor about your symptoms and mention that you heard or read about the medicine I take and see what they say because it does work but I didn't realize how much until I stopped taking it but am back on it now. And I take the highest dose. I'm not a doctor though, just a friend giving you advice or my opinion.
Marilynn Arnold Hey, I didn't google it but I watched some tutorials and this one lady sent me a message and explained it. I cant' even sew a button on but I'm gonna try stitching a book together and I wasn't gonna but I watched a video and thought, well maybe I can do that. Wish me luck.
A signature is a group of a few pages attached together. Rather than trying to stitch a huge stack together, bookmakers divide them into smaller stacks and stitch down the middle, when folded over they make little booklets. Then each signature or booklet. is affixed to the binding separately.
Love, love, love!! Classic. Exactly what junk journals were meant to be. Beautiful job!!
I really like your choice of pages for your junk journal. It's smooth transition from page to page and not alot of chaos. Luv the old time pages too.
Thank you so much, Gina! I appreciate your comments very much.
I love this journal Diane. A true junk journal. Just how I like them! 😊💕
Thank you! It's one of my favorites! By the way, I've been watching your videos lately. Love them.

Love it ! So creative! More of these kind!
this is just my type of journal!!!!
Thanks. They were really fun to put together. I also have videos posted of one of these journals in use as a glue book, and another one coming soon.

Hi, well I'm 41 now but around 30 is when I started noticing it, I think. Just tell your doctor about your symptoms and mention that you heard or read about the medicine I take and see what they say because it does work but I didn't realize how much until I stopped taking it but am back on it now. This is what I do with My Junk Mail - ruclips.net/video/Ga6aDVEs3bU/видео.html
Shannon green
Sorry but what does she mean by signatures?
+Niki Reynolds Hopefully you googled book making and found out about signatures and putting books together. There are tons of tutorials on how to...
Is she EVER gonna show the pages, the inside?
