What a wonderful video. You explained everything so well and watching you actually make it really helped. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.
You’re most welcome! I am so glad you found this video helpful! Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback! Your message made the effort I put in making this video worth it! 🙏🏻
So happy I found this video! Thank you so much! My only question would be, “What type of milk did you use? Whole milk? 2%? Skim? I searched for an IP recipe for sweetened condensed milk and all the other videos returned in the search were about “making caramel with sweetened condensed milk” and not how to make the sweetened condensed milk itself! 😆
I am so glad you were able to find what you were searching for! I have used whole milk for this recipe, but skim milk would also work! I personally don't make condensed milk on the stovetop any more. It takes less time, less stirring and the thickened milk sticks less on the inner pot! I just love making it in the IP! I hope you will like it too! :)
Just made this earlier today, and it came out perfectly! This is way better and easier than doing it on the stove top, especially since I don't have any other heavy bottom pan. Thanks for this!
New sub here! Great recipe, well explained. Your video is greatly edited. I will try this with lactose-free milk :) I need it to make my own ice cream. Do you have homemade ice cream without an icemaker?
Tell me! What is the function of the instant pot if you doesn't close the lid besides cooking what you can do on the stove if you doesn't use the instant pot properly?
Alex, this is not a paid video. As I already mentioned in the video, both methods work! I use IP for sauteing as well not just pressure cooking. I personally feel the thickened milk sticks less on the side walls in the IP as compared to the stovetop. But that's a personal preference.

Thank you so much Laure, I am glad you liked the video. Yes there are two ice cream recipes without an ice cream maker, you can check them out.
I wonder if you could make this much quicker if you pressure cooked it with the vent wide open
I wonder the same!

My Pleasure! Stay tuned for more such recipes! :)
Can you use splenda for this recipe?
I haven't tried this recipe with Splenda, so I would not be able to comment on that.

Yes, Dulce de Leche in IP is the next recipe coming up on my channel! Stay tuned! :)
MUCH EASIER TO MAKE IT ON THE STOVE TOP BUT I GUESS SOME PEOPLE ARE PAID TO PROMOTE NO MATTER HOW RIDICULOUS THEIR IDEAS ARE 😃😃😃

It's okay... Some people never learn manners either!
