Haha original plan was for the user to control colors and animations via button clicks. Then I realized this would be way too confusing for the average user. Had to invest in making an app.
Do you have another model for open face helmets? Also, it would be nice if you add accelerometer to activate light pattern when braking or slowing down for safety reasons :-)
Cool system! What I personally would still like would be if it was modular. So you could customize the stripe. I have a Scorpion Exo-520 Air helmet with integrated sun visor. Since is unfortunately on the left side of the helmet the slide switch in the way. If you could then customize a part where the switch bypasses that would be mega!!!! I would have the LightMode so gladly!
Any improvements to battery life? The original Lightmode doesn't last very long on the solid mode and I'm assuming if these are even brighter, the battery drain will be even faster. I know you said it's "more efficient" but I'm wondering what to expect in terms of runtime.
Yes, major improvements on all fronts. Battery life is longer. Around 7-10 hours on average with this new kit. Can go much higher depending on the animation/brightness setting.

I tried this with the 1st gen lightmode lights and I wouldn't do it unless you're OK with having them totally crap out. The process of pulling them off the old helmet will probably damage the actual lights so that parts of them won't light anymore. You'll also have an issue with the glue being...not glue anymore. If you are patient and artsy/craftsy, you might try cutting strips of thin double-sided super glue tape to fit the lights on the new helmet, dunno, I'm def not that patient. And @BIG-Be8vz is right his will leave glue residue on your helmet. It's a pain in the ass overall and ends up being easier to buy new lights, whiiiiich, you'll probably have to do either way.

Yes, I ship worldwide. I suppose you could stick the lights to your bike, but I did not design them for that purpose. Not sure how it would handle long-term if your bike is left sitting in the rain frequently.

Hey Christian, it's got a built-in USB rechargeable battery. It is water resistant so it will not get damaged by rain, but not waterproof so don't dunk it in water. If I can be of any more help, please don't hesitate to ask! 😊

It's water resistant, not water proof. It has features to keep rain out and protect the electronics from water damage, but can't be dunked under water. One Night Shift comes with two lights which is intended to be installed on one helmet, do yes to your 2nd question.

Not sure I follow. The designs in my previous videos are not LED tech. No app functionality for those old kits.

Even the lowest brightness setting of this new kit is brighter than the old gen kits. LED tech VS EL tech. Big difference in efficiency.

Yes, I ship worldwide. I suppose you could stick the lights to your bike, but I did not design them for that purpose. Not sure how it would handle long-term if your bike is left sitting in the rain frequently.

How about installing this kit on modular (flip-up) helmets like Shoei Neotec-II? Do you have any ideas? Or do you planning to make some design for flip-ups?
the Night Shift should fit on modular helmets. Just watch this modular helmet install video. The Grid kit is very similar in size/shape as this new kit so you can install it the same way.

Hi dude, is it a rechargeable device or replaceable battery ? Also , is it waterproof / water resistant ? Sometime, rain falls suddenly in my country. Looking forward to hear from you and any feedback is appreciated!

Hey Christian, it's got a built-in USB rechargeable battery. It is water resistant so it will not get damaged by rain, but not waterproof so don't dunk it in water.

Can you add a trigger to the controller to recognize a double-click and cycle through your favorites animation? Or allow us to change the single click of the button to cycle through favorites instead of colors?

i have 2 question
1.is that water proof?
2.can 1 helmet be paired with 2 lights?
It's water resistant, not water proof. It has features to keep rain out and protect the electronics from water damage, but can't be dunked under water.
One Night Shift comes with two lights which is intended to be installed on one helmet, do yes to your 2nd question.
Is it legal in washington state to ride with that on your helmet?

Now is this like previous models where you can cut them and seal them and the strip would still work?
Not quite. You can cut some specific areas (not much), but you wouldn't know where so I would not recommend trying.
