This is truly great to see. As I'm a Peebles born in America. I have a Peebles history book that was put together in the 1990s. Goes all the way back to 1110 AD... David Edward Peebles was the first to come to America in 1645... Our family spread quickly, mostly on the east coast though. I really want to come visit my Homeland one day. Thank you so very much for sharing this video. May you be safe and blessed in all your travels.
Love your channel! Your commentary is funny yet informative, and your videography is wonderful. Keep it up, because I have no doubt your channel is going to be very popular.
One of my favorite episodes, love the drone footage and the cemetery, beautiful buildings. Thanks for all the effort you three put into these videos for us.
3:36 Head with wings symbolises: "In the older cemeteries, tombstones have typically weathered badly and it's difficult to make out the inscriptions. However, the winged or flying skull is usually pretty easy to see. This signifies the fleetingness of life and the soul soaring into the afterlife. The flying hourglass is similar to the winged skull but it indicates the swiftness of time's passage. Learn more at Stew Ross Discovers."
I knew it would be worth the wait! I think this might be my favorite episode yet; Peebles has truly moved into first place on my dream itinerary. I'm not sure why it draws me in so much, but I really want to visit. I would like to get a peek at Mabel's accommodations during your excursions. I'd love to see the kind of places you find. I love car/van/truck camping.
Great outing. Thanks for bringing me along with you.
You’re welcome :)
Thanks for the tour..I was born and brought up in Peebles but now living in Italy.I really enjoyed revisiting the places I know well!
Glad we could take you back.
The map was impressive! 😮 Love the castles, the cemeteries, the views, the bridges! 👍🏼
The map is awesome. We’d love to know how they managed it without being able to see the whole thing from above.
Interesting facts about the Bridge
Thank you.

Peebles is definitely worth a visit. We’ll show you some of the nice places we stop in future :)
@@scotlandonashoestring Excellent, I'll enjoy that 🩷
The very first time my surname "Bowers" popped up in history was Peebles. Just curious if it is a name that still exists there? Beautiful place!
We'll keep an eye out for it.
Really enjoy your channel 😊 What is it about War Memorials that Beks doesn't like or why is it you try to avoid them?
It's just that I *do* tend to go on about them.. a bit :)
👍
Peebles? Really? Much better places in the Borders methinks.
We’re getting through them.
