Honored to have dined at City Tavern, Philadelphia before it’s untimely closing. The Chef and his brigade, the servers, the overall management and the feel of historical cuisine there were spectacular!

My visit to Philadelphia, the City Tavern was our refuge during a mid day rain. Pepper pot soup and ale was a delight in that historic setting.

I never ate at Philadelphia Tavern City. But loved eating at several Colonial Williamsburg taverns: Christina Campbell, Kings Arms, Shields, Chowning. Have a passion for history.
