The thing is yes we can say that she is somewhat in getting mental abuse or find that her husband is out of touch with reality BUT he have given the support needed. Got roof, food and ofter funding support given to her and her kids so how to judge it is difficult to rule only one party favor. Most likely only one party will bear the cost if this isn't consider physical violence, adultery or desertion. I don't think she have that kind of money because she can't find a work here without any skills and education or does she have friends here willing to borrow that sum. Overall she make a lifelong decision and then started to regret it. Agency marriage/mail order bride with issue like this are very common for mens under 40-50 that they are literally paying and live with each others in an more stable life than the bride third world rural hometown, meanwhile enduring this hopeless relationship no love at all but about the money. I feel that kurt's current wife might have reached the certain age that she know very slim chance that mens of any age will accept her so she make a "bo bian" decision for her family back in her hometown
I knew of Steven Lim way before he got infamous on SG Idol and we nicknamed him "Eyebrow Plucker" cos that's what he does at Orchard Road back in the day. To his credit, I heard he does do a good job. Also got approached by him once asking if I wanna be a talent/model on his roster and this was after SG Idol. Not sure if I should be offended or delighted...
