A bull fight with no music is not a "real" spectacle. It was popular in the 1920's and easy to dance. It is usually called "Suspiros de España" (Spanish Sigh) or "Soldadito Español" (Spanish Little Soldier). Do with this information what you like.
Glad you wrote that. I'm one of the very few in America that grew up with pasodoble having heard them in my house since I was a baby. My father loved everything to do with Spain. Songs like Pasodoble Te Quiero, La Macarena, artists like Juan Legido (great voice, underrated), Manolo Escobar, Rocio Jurado, all of that was commonplace in my home. My father loved Don Rickles' entrance. Episodes of I Love Lucy from the 1950s also featured some Spanish classics. There is a new Spanish singer called Rosalia that is bringing traditional Andaluz Spanish sounds back with her new record, namely her hit Malamente. Glad to see new Spanish youth hearing old world sounds.

Was privileged to see Don Rickles in April of 2011 after he mentioned being at The Borgata on David Letterman's show in the days preceding the shows. We got two seats in The Borgata's Music Box theater waaay up in the corner. Turns out there were no bad seats in that theater. Don exhibited the energy of someone a quarter of his age for the length of his show.

Benigni is beyond that... he embraces, literally, life and releases it augmented with utterly lack of shame... he's just 100% genuine!

Gavin James Leno had the bigger and more popular network, plus the viewers loyal to Carson and brand recognition. Leno just seems like the spoiled rich kid where Carson, Dave, Conan were/are talent.
