Hi James and Dylan, I really like these Ho Steamers, Fleischmann make very good Locos and rolling Stock. Thanks for the kind comments. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Anthony, I have had the Passenger wagons for a few years now and finally have some suitable Locos to pull them. I am very happy with the Fleischmann BR55 its a great little runner. Cheers, Paul. 👍👍🙏
The Baureihe 55 designation covers multiple locomotive types that have the same wheel arrangement (even including a Mallet) . The preserved ones are usually the G8 or G8.1 type which has a lot more external items on the boiler and flat sided cylinders. Piko did go for the G7, which is kind of how a G8 looked before all the external parts were added. This allows to offer these at a very reasonable price. They are often bought to harvest the powered tender for brass kits. There is a G7 restored in running condition in Bulgaria. Don't expect to see these often on the mainline, as the maximum speed is around 50 kmh
Hi, many thanks for the detailed information on the BR55 from Fleischmann. I have seen one in the Technical Museum in Sinsheim and thought it was an interesting Loco. Thanks for watching and commenting its most appreciated. Caheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, what a beautiful locomotive, congratulations on this great addition to your collection! It is running smoothly and silently, fantastic! By the way, very well shot video, great camera work, quite steady and sharp and crisp images. Thanks for sharing this video! Have a nice Sunday evening! Cheers 🙋♂️ Erik
Hi Erik, I am very happy with my latest Fleischmann Locos they are superb runners and simple to maintain. I am surprised the video was not jumping to much as I held the Samsung by hand. Thanks for the kind comments. Have a great week. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
@@railway187 Hi Erik, I am left handed but it shakes a fair bit so I am holding the camera in my right hand. I like using a gimble as I can reach over my layout for closer steadier shots. Cheers, Paul.🎥👋
Excellent locomotive, this BR-55, Paul, thank you for sharing with us. Piko makes good stuff, usually, worthy to get (even if some of their rolling stock, hobby or starter set wagons especially, would require some upgrades). When they arrive to your collection, it's sure they would run at their finest capacity. Have a good day, best regards! :)
Hi Chris, I am very happy with this Fleischmann BR55 its a very nice runner and finally I have this and the BR89 to pull my mix of German Coaches. I like Piko, .Raoco Locos and Wagons they are good value for money. Many thanks for watching and the kind comments. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏

Hi Al, I am very impressed how these Fleischmann Steam Locos look and run. Very easy to service with strong motors. I have had the Coaches for a few years so good to have a choice of Locos to pull them. All the best, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, that's a nice looking Bavarian G8 mate. I think I have seen them in the green livery as well. As I have said before, I really like the Flieschmann tender drive set up, they run so smooth. They must have been a popular model, as Rivarossi, Jouef and Piko all had a crack at producing them. I also saw someone had built a live steam version as well. Steven.
Hi Steven, I am very impressed with these Fleischmann Steam Locos, they are easy to maintain and run superbly. Yes there is the BR55 in green which is a great livery. @ That Samsung has a very good built in stabiliser. A gimbal is probably slightly better, but your video was very well shot without it! 👏👍
