  • Hello everyone! This video is a non-narrated recording of the Ragnaros encounter from the Molten Core Raid done on Heat level 1 as a Healing Arcane Mage in Phase 4 of the World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery.
    This vod is from our guild's first time defeating this boss, and I have not ever done this encounter previously. I definitely could have played better, and will next time now that I am more familiar with the damage pattern and overall mechanics. That being said, I thought that some people might want to see this video from a Healing Mage's point of view, and so I thought that I would upload it. I hope that you enjoy this video and find it useful in some way!
    The biggest issue on this boss (at least for me) was positioning and Mana Management. With everyone being spread out to avoid splash damage from the knockback, it could be a bit tricky to use Mass Regeneration efficiently. It is also a long fight, and the tanks do sometimes need strong direct heals, so I found myself dumping a lot of mana into damaging spells to keep them topped and ended up needing 4 Innervates in addition to my own Mana Pots & Mana Gems to remain mana-solvent. Chronostatic Preservation may have been a better choice here, in order to keep the tanks topped and conserve mana, but I went with Spell Power for the extra DPS. Rewind would also help quite a bit but it doesn't show as HPS so I tend to not use it ;P. All in all though, it's a fairly simple fight, and I'm glad that we were able to get it done.

    Thanks a lot for the great healing mage content. Any plans for an updated Mage Healer guide for P4? Your guide for P3 was fantastic but with all the changes that P4 brought, an update would be great!

      Thanks! And yeah, I'd like to. I'm still playing around with various builds at different levels of Fire Resist so once I feel like I have enough information to share I plan to make a video guide. Hopefully in about a week or two =)

    Whats the addon thats shows What to cast?

    • @SigsPlays
      @SigsPlays  23 дня назад

      I don't have anything showing me which spells to cast. The little Spell Icons to the left of my Cast Bar is an Addon called TrufiGCD, which is just showing the spells that I cast, and the box to the top left of my Raid Frames is the Details Action Tracker, which again is just showing the spells that I cast. But it's not showing what to cast, just what I already have cast. =)

    Nice video !
    Which WA is the one that shows you the spell priority? Seems pretty useful

      And I'm not sure... I don't have anything showing me which spells to cast. Maybe I'm missing something - if you can describe where you are seeing it then I can tell you what it is though!

      @@SigsPlayshey sig, what’s the add on that shows when missile barrage procs?

    • @SigsPlays
      @SigsPlays  23 дня назад +1

      @@sooyongpark267 The Addon is called Weakauras, you can find a download link here on Curseforge if you'd like: www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/weakauras-2
      You can find a link to the specific Missile Barrage Weakaura that I'm using here: wago.io/Kptm918ct
      After installing the Addon go to the Wago link for the Weakaura above, click "Copy Import String" in the red oval near the top of the page, then type "/wa" (without the quotes) in-game and press enter. Then click Import near the top of the Weakauras settings window that should appear, then simply press ctrl + v and then click the red "Import" button down at the bottom. After that you should see the purple bubble when you get a Missile Barrage Proc. You can also adjust the size and position of the graphic from the Weakauras settings menu if you'd like.
      Hope that helps! I'm not sure if you needed the full breakdown but I figured that there might be other people who aren't familiar with Weakauras who were wondering too. =)

    Hey man, you think I can run MC Heat 1 with 6/8 .5 set and mostly other pre-bis slots filled? Mage heals too

    • @SigsPlays
      @SigsPlays  28 дней назад

      Yes, absolutely. It obviously depends on the rest of your group as well, but I wasn't much more geared than that the first time that I did Heat 1 and honestly it wasn't that tough to heal, so I'm sure that you'll be fine. Best of luck and have fun!

      I forgot to put it on, like a dummy. Probably why I was running out of Mana extra fast and needed so many Innervates lol
