I got Ironfoe back in 2019 for my rogue. The pally who was tanking not even rolled. My group couldn't believe he passed on it, it was hysterical lol. I had no choice but becoming a maces rogue from that point on, making me some kind of personality on that server cuz I was just this rare breed of playing. It was very fun and I remained as maces till the end of that journey. I ended that Classic run with MSA and Castigator. PVP was a blast, sometimes the mace stun talent would proc up to 3x in a fight if I was lucky. I also had Badge of the Swarmguard and Jom Gabbar and I would just melt people. It was surely my funnest wow experience ever that year. It was the only time I saw Ironfoe drop in 17 years of playing this game.
Iron foe dropped for me around 8 years ago. I did tons of old content for items and xmog. I had a huge catalog of plate a mail armor. I was working on old legendary weapons before I quit in 2020 again. I have shadowmourne and sulfuras. I have half of the thunder fury on like two characters. I played the game for mount collection and armor sets more than the expansions after wrath.
I always play as a mace rogue myself. I start by using Persuader main hand and Ebon Hand offhand. Then gather Sand Polished Hammer and Anubisath Warhammer before getting MSA and the Castigator. I love maces. Would also play Hemorrhage alot, hence my name is Hemorrhage on servers where I can.
Still today. This isn't he most aestethically most pleasing game I've seen. Graphics are not the best but damnn, the environments are well crafted man. SO WELL CRAFTED!
you can do this a bit easier for the thaurissan solo part, if you fight him up on the throne and jump off when he enrages you can strafe at the bottom and make his ai get stuck strafing aswell, waiting out his enrages.
Interesting video. Looks like you are using the ledge to separate emp from the princess, blow her up, die then go back and take emp solo. I might try it, can get kind of expensive though and extra time to have to go and repair. Just wanted to mention that if you have some FR gear, you can easily take down the fire guys in the Lyceum without using your flask which will save you some time.

i tried looking at this to beat retail version as f2p. and apparently somewhere between classic time and retail time, they added one ability for thaurissan. Its called Hand of Thaurissan. this deals low amount of fire damage but also stuns target for 5s. and on top of that it doesn't have cooldown AND it doesn't suffer from diminishing returns AND its instant cast AND it has 30 yards of range... so: No cooldown, no diminishing returns, unavoidable, 5 seconds duration. Can be kept up indefinitely. and can be casted from distance. Balanced ability.
super impressive, I thought only hunters and rogues could go solo emperor, now I'm gonna try my ret pally to do the same run as you did, should be a bit easier to light up torches with DS, hopefully I can loot the hand of justice in few runs, wish me luck !
On my full bis MT TF warrior I cleaved down both at the same time with a FaP, took like 2 attempts. I think I used earthstrike+KoTS, you need to demo and tclap and disarm the enrage
awesome video man. i got a question tho, why use the 2h? If i had to guess it would be for cleaving trash packs? but even on emp wouldnt it have been better to dual wield?
@@thefalal285 BRE is WAY better than any Naxx 2h for a prolonged damage scenario, especially vs. a Mace where the boss is immune to stun. Second. For dual wield to be better than BRE ? you have to get insane amount of + hit, like +15 hit, and that will sac your crit and AP
I tried this myself tonight with 800+ healing and good gear but couldnt kill it solo because she was just not pathing good for me. Either running after him even though she was in los of me or he was just not running away so they kept stun locking me. After 8 deaths i was done and called my trusted paladin and HoJ dropped for us lol

Started the fight the same way as you again but she would still only cast 1 Shadowbolt at me, but with reck and trinkets and now 900+ Healing I was able to bring her down and him down to 20% but couldn't finish him in the first try. Pretty sure if i kite him up the stairs while killing her, I can jump down an bandage and kill both in one go. Anyway ran back to my corpse and finished him solo, just like you in the video :) Sadly no Ironfoe drop though
I do miss being a naxx geared warrior in classic. Fury dual wield of course. Just smash the keyboard and watch the dps go off the charts. Was the 2hander better dps than 2 one handers?
It depends if you are sword spec arms with bre it can be but it's very situational as to where single minded fury is also situational but more towards raid boss fights.
Its nice that you can solo it, but a 16min video on fastforward tells me I'd rather do lava runs in a group possibly lose items to other players but be 10x more efficient than doing this. This looks long, slow and boring. But very interesting indeed
tried this out in TBC as a orc rogue, with stun resist10% increased .. believe me that fricking stun the boss throw is like 70% a wipe, even if you're full health.. had to kite him and do range dmg for a while

Legend i loved doing solo runs on my hunter and warrior but never an emperor run i farm the gladiator chest solo for both of them tho :)

No problem, the solo series is more of a challenge and a different way of playing the game. Feel free to do a 5-man run if you don't find joy in solo

I can show you how to do it on a fresh 60 with leveling gear, soloing arena and anger and emp. No diamonds flask no pre bis no raid gear whatsoever.
